So, one day Congress votes to allow the U.S. to sue the OPEC countires for high oil costs, and the next day Congress is having hearings with the oil companies demanding to know why gas prices are so high.
Do these idiots in congress know nothing? I'm surprised their approval rating is at even 13% (the last approval rating for congress that I heard).

That's because our politicians no longer actually do anything, all they do is jockey things around to make it look like they are accomplishing things.
I think they have come to the realization that even if they do come up with a great idea, that the opposing party will shoot it down just for spite. The whole party system is failing miserably, it has created hardline stances.
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

All I know is...we have to do SOMETHING.
Sue the bastards, I don't care. I want my lower gas prices cuz I can't afford to go anywhere right now.

I won't even begin to use the blame game. They're both equally as guilty. We've known this was coming since the early 70's.
After sitting on our collectives asses for 30 years, everyone's to blame.
That's the worst part of it right THERE. It's not like this is something that suddenly came about to bite us in the ass, leaving us to ask "How in the hell did that happen? Didn't see that coming at all."
30 friggin' years!!
