As long as AV is included in this deal. I don't think I could watch those two on the same court together at the same time, lol.

True !....Let's hope that the Cavs understand this fact and resolve that issue before Lebron heads into Free Agency in 2 years....ALL the other Top teams will get better through player upgrades....To keep pace we Must do the same....

Seems to me the Redd deal may happen now.......MAY. The only thing that was said to be going to potentially hold it up (if we are indeed pursuing him) was the fact that Yi and Andy were represented by the same agent. Said agent didn't want the two competing for time in Andy's contract year......well, so much for that...... NOW, this is just my opinion but we'll see what happens.... AGAIN, I am not saying this has been discussed by anyone but the one hurdle we were facing seems to be gone now if we want to unload AV. Should be interesting to see what happens tonight. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft2008/news/story?id=3462210The New Jersey Nets and Milwaukee Bucks are on the verge of a trade that will send Richard Jefferson to the Bucks for forwards Yi Jianlian and Bobby Simmons, according to NBA front-office sources.

Without looking at Jefferson's contract, it seems like this is more of a win now approach. Yi is the future, where as Jefferson is more of a now guy. If it is a win now approach, I don't really see them parting with Redd.

I do. And, I hate Ohio State more than anyone on this board. His game translates to the NBA much better than college. He will be a very good player in the NBA.

96.7 Million for just Redd and Jefferson.
I'm pretty sure Redd will be traded.
you had a good run Hank.

It really has nothing to do with Ohio State. Maybe he will be very good in the NBA. However for the Cavs, they simply don't need him whatsoever at this point.

Z is 33 Wallace is 34 Joe Smith is 33 Nobody seems to want Varejao, and I doubt he sticks around at the end of the contract. In a couple years that leaves Dwayne Jones and Lance Allred, assuming we even keep both of them.
I'm having a difficult time understanding why we wouldn't need a big whatsoever at this point. Sure we need a SG worse, but not needing a big whatsoever?

Cavs have been talking with the Bobcats about a trade involving Ray Felton and Adam Morrison.
is andy the guy we'd give up, considering they were the only team that really made an offer...
i love felton's game, maybe not so much with morrison, but felton can play...

Just to add on here and touch on the Cavs draft.
I have been very disappointed at what I am hearing out of the Cavaliers camp...
I keep hearing they are set on going big. The biggest mistake they can make is not to take the best overall player. Not the best overall big, the best overall PLAYER.
Should be interesting, wouldn't be surprised if somehow we end up with an early second round pick as well...
I really do not want to see Koufos in a Cavs uniform...
i agree wholeheartedly, i want the cavs to take the best guy there... sure, we are old in the frontcourt, but we will also have some sort of cap space in the near future
i'm not huge on kosta koufos, but if the cavs believe he is the best guy available, then take him... don't draft for position though, even if we have some glaring weaknesses... you don't want to pass up another michael redd, another tony parker, etc... guys who lasted quite a while in the draft...

strike that, the bobcat deal could not involve andy, because they were the one who gave him the offer sheet...
i wonder who they have interest in?

To be honest, I think that the biggest problem with the team is Mike Brown.
I agree.....but it is funny to watch Erkel licking his lips and adjusting his glasses all the time.

I found this interesting, picks 15-18 were all centers who are ranked below Koufous.
Arthur and Koufous the Doofus still on the board after the Magic pick Courtney Lee @ #22

Because he didn't pick the guy you liked? Let's burn Ferry at the stake before this guy ever steps onto an NBA floor.
I was listening to ESPN radio and here's what one of the analysts said: He liked the pick. He thought he was overlooked because he played on such a poor team. He has a beavy of post-up (back to the basket type) moves that would make him a reliable inside scoring threat. (Something we actually lack). He's a freshman so he has room to grow. Since he was on such a poor team in college, he would command a lot of double and triple teams because he was the only scoring threat. The analyst felt that the double teams, as well as the "freshman wall" wore him out by the end of the season, and might of eroded his stock. He felt that had he played on a stronger team, he likely would of gone much higher.
Chad Forde on ESPN.com put his comments for the pick as "Could be the freshman sleeper of the draft".
Just because he doesn't have the "big-name" appeal ... or didn't come from Ohio State ... doesn't make him a bum.
