This is hysterical.
Probably one of the funniest threads of all time.
Off the charts on the scale of unintentional comedy.

I'm so biting my tongue on this thread, I could go sooo many different ways I could stir this pot good
Since I am a nicer and kinder person (just today) I will let this slide by.

There is a decent bar scene on Coventry. And I used to frequent Felt and TavCo in the Lee road vicinity. Not sure if Felt is still around.
People don't go into the Flats anymore---unless they want to get mugged, there really isn't anything there anymore. Now people frequent West 6th., which has a bunch of trendy, nightclub/bar type places.
I wish to wash my Irish wristwatch......

thanks for the tip.
i may or may not do it...like I said some of the advice here is useful, some of it isn't. But thanks for your input. I used to live in Cleveland Heights from '84 to '90 but I don't remember much of it.

I wasn't ever supposed to share this picture of Clay dancing with the love of his life, but I fear I must:

Well Asian, I can safely tell you after last night that Coventry is pretty rockin'.
It's definitely a different atmosphere than Athens though.

Your one of those do as I say, Not as I do kind of people aren't you?
You really didn't read what I just wrote.
A lot of times it appears as if you don't recall what you have written. (see the NASCAR Michigan thread other than this thread)
This thread is whacko........it reads mostly like an IM convo....
Asian, if you wish to find out if you like a restaurant, bar, club, etc etc etc......go check it out. To each their own and what may work for the guy ...never mind......I won't slam him again. It's too easy.
Best of luck to you in your quest!

His quest? (Ammhole)Sorry but that made me chuckle, he has no quest he lives his life off of Mommy and Daddy, his only quest is only to maintain his status of being the board, no clue guy. He forgets only when he thinks it is feasible to his stance though he doesn't have a stance, just a dance. I just hope his social blow up doll withstands his issues, since no real lady in their right mind would give Ole Ammo the time or day. I do wish the best for the kid, but the route he's taking is out there. I bet he's one of those guys who thinks he's big on campus, but when he isn't around he is the butt of jokes, and the sad thing is since he doesn't see it here, so I doubt he could see it, even if it was handed to him on a plate even with the silver spoon attached to his mouth. Hell he' not even man enough to say: May parents pay for my school and car, but yet acts like he's the one being shunned. The kid doesn't have a clue about life and won't until he's not spoon fed, and I don't see that changing anytime in the future. Sorry Ammo, but if you didn't act the fool, peeps wouldn't bust on you. Good luck on finding that clue, but in your situation your looking for a needle in five haystacks.

Thanks for hijacking another thread for another personal attack.
I'm not man enough to say that? Guess why? MY PARENTS SURE AS HELL DON'T PAY FOR MY CAR. I bought my car, pay my gas and my insurance.
Stop making ASSumptions about my life. You don't know me. You don't even know an eighth about my life. Only one with half a clue would be AsianDawg and he doesn't even know me that well! You don't know that I was class VP in high school or was a football team captain because of the POSITIVE EXAMPLE I SET.
I usually respect my elders but in this case I have zero respect for a grump like you and quite frankly I don't give two squirts of ram's urine how disrespectful I sound towards you. You're just a bitter old man upset that you didn't get to be a 21 year old when you were 21. I'd say more but I'd probably have a lengthy stay in Banned Camp.
You can tell me I'm "acting the fool" all you want, whatever the hell that means. I've heard stories of adults I know back in their day and I'm tame compared to them...guess what? They're fine people today, and they still kick back and get rowdy from time to time (especially at Lions Club conventions). I know how my life is compared to those around me, and you know what? I'm doing pretty darn well for myself.

j/c To all that posted. thanks for your input. i felt it was a legit question and I'm glad I got legit answers. I went out with some friends tonight and we didn't touch the bars at once. I may reconsider my decision to do what I said in the thread--I read it again and it sounded stupid. I'm not gonna lie--I make tons of mistakes like that from time to time. I'm actually happy because tonight I got to see a girl in my grade, Cristina, that was always nice to me and I reconnected with her. We went to the Willoughby car show even though most of the show was rained out and the thing was canceled early. All the cars left around 7 p.m. but we stuck it out to 9 or so. I think there's someone on here that's from Willoughby Hills. I met Cristina in 6th grade--same year as I met the other girl that Ammo knows (her name is Angela)--and stayed in touch, not great touch, throughout high school. She had her own group of friends; I had mine. I went to college and moved back home. She didn't go to colllege. She worked at alltel and made very decent $$ but she hated it. She was telling me that she wished she could work for my salary (1/2 of hers) but that she'd do what she loved (cooking) instead of something she's not natural at (selling cell phones). I said to her we should switch places. We reconnected last August at the Feast of the Assumption. I literally ran into her when I was in a hurry to get into a building, opened the door and shot inside, nearly knocking her over. I apologized and saw the face but I didn't recognize her at first. We stayed in touch for a few months, lost touch, and she talked to me online the other night. She's a BIG car nut and knows that a '69 Charger has a 440-cubic-inch V8. When she told me that I was like wow that sounds like something I would say. Her brother was a mechanic, her boyfriend repairs landscape equipment and she caught on to car jargon. We caught up with each other last night and I met her (she's 24 y/o), her boyfriend (6 years older than her) and his friend (also 30) at the car show. It was worth the downpours. And we promised to stay in touch. They're also big Browns fans but not diehards like the dawgtalkers. A drama-free night. As for the other girl, Angela, she never called me back even though she was home from Baltimore for 10 days. Not a single call. Garbage. Angela's a bum. Ammo knows Angela's brother. Whatever. Go Browns.
Go Browns!

Move to the west side of town, and I can refer you to more bars. If you head to Tremont, get the "Lemonade Stand" martini at Fahrenheit...quite possibly the greatest martini I've ever had. Three Olives Berry Vodka, Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, Garnished with Berries.
