I'd like to pimp this little feature of Madden since it's helped me learn a few things about football that I hadn't known before, most notably the QB position since I never played QB when I played ball.
Sure it'll never be able to simulate the true difficult aspects of the QB position, but I've learned a lot about reading defenses and who to go to. I'll never have the arm or the skills to actually play the position in real life, but I think it's pretty cool to learn where to go on certain plays.
I'll get off my soapbox now.

It's real fun.
I made a QB on there and was drafted by the Raiders.
I'm turning around that franchise with him. I just started him the other day. So far in the 07' season he's lost only one game (to the Browns). Though that game was lost totally by their defense. The CPU controlled defense allowed Droughns to rush for 325 yards and 4 TD's!! Lost that game 59-46. In the losing effort I threw for 530 some yards 4 TD's 2 INT's and ran for 75 odd yards. He's an awesome QB!!

My guy's 6'6" 250lbs.
I forgot to give him a name so he's New Player...quite frankly I think the name Nate Player would be pretty cool though...
Won the Superbowl, offensive rookie of the year, offensive player of the year, MVP and probowl in his rookie year. I'm on year two right now. Yeah the difficulty's on pro but I don't really care, my challenge isn't winning games so much as it is creating the greatest QB of all time. I'm kinda frustrated with the playcalling though.
He's on the Vikings right now but once FA hits he's a Brown.

1 question about it. I tried playing it but the camera angle for the QB is killing me. Is there anyway to change it?

I tried this too, but no I don't think you can change the camera veiw. You just have to get used to it.

The camera angle is the best part, makes it more challenging. I love playing MLB and meeting the HB in the hole.

The first player I used was a guy I exported from NCAA 2007. I was a LOLB with pretty much 90+ in all important stats. I started tearing it up early, getting something like 56 sacks one season. I got pretty much all the awards I could get and retired after 6 seasons, and made the Hall of Fame anyway.
I decided to try out some offense, and got a DNA combination of a Pro-Bowl scatback for a dad and a mother who was an olympic sprinter! I actually ended up getting drafted by the Browns, and have an overall rating of 89 ... good enough to beat out Rueben. After the first three games I'm averaging 150 yards per game.
I love Superstar mode!

A scatback eh?
I'll have to try that, the ONLY guy I ever got drafted bye the browns with was a LT...LOL
The first he started game
I had like 25 pancake blocks in the first half, and not coincidentally we were winning 28-14.
I was pissed because after like 32 pancake blocks IT RESET!!! to zero and I ended up with only 5 pancakes. I was not happy!
I keep trying but the browns keep passing me up

I don't recall which team i was drafted on....it's been a while... But i'm on the browns now...here is the kicker...my GM picked up TY LAW and i have this really fast rookie at OLB...guy consistantly gets 2-3 sacks a game..n sometimes jus breaks it open n dominates...with 5-6 sacks...i love to blitz... I always use the end to block the RT or LT while the outside LB is russhin...it's almost unfair at times heh...
--------- Excl....56 sacks? thats insane man...the most i ever got was 32 i believe...

The camera angle is the best part, makes it more challenging. I love playing MLB and meeting the HB in the hole. Exactly, if anything it's closer to the real thing and you get to see coverages and make reads as you're supposed to. That's mainly why I'm raving about this mode so much.

Excl....56 sacks? thats insane man...the most i ever got was 32 i believe... You should see me in the NCAA college version of the game. I was routinely getting 10-15 sacks a game. Or are you saying you got 32 sacks in one game?? Usually after 10 or so, I let up to make it more realistic. It took me awhile to figure out the first person viewing mode, but once I got used to it, I was able to get my sack totals up again. With a fast guy, you can usually run right around the right tackle and make a sack. If they send a runningback to block you, then you cut back inside and meet the quarterback right as he steps up in the pocket. The dive button helps you get there a little faster too. I only have problems when they put a tightend over to help, and I'm essentially getting double teamed.

What mode do you play on? i had 5 on ALL madden once...that was awesome.. I play on All-Pro ... just because I'll break too many controllers playing on All-Madden. The BS that the AI pulls off on that level is sickening. There does seem to be a glitch though with blocking when blitzing. If the lineman is close enough to get a single hand on you ... then you just kind of sit there shaking, and can't swim or roll or anything. You have to completely avoid him or engage him enough to do a swim/spin move. It's kind of annoying actually.

Yep same here...i find the ALL MADDEN to be a little unfair at times....but i do play it from time to time when i think my team can dominate anyone hands down in ALL PRO..i move up just for the hell of it...it's fun every once in a while....otherwise it's all pro all the way....
PS- watch out blade might think your a wuss for playing ALL PRO *sigh*

@ the Couch!
But, I tried being a SS but I suck in Pass Coverage, plus I was drafted by Arizona!
And then I tried being a Punter, too boring, drafted by Pittspuke too
OK, I'll try QB, the Camera sucks, And I sucked because of it
So, maybe I'll try Fullback

One thing they should do with this mode is not make you watch the game when your not involved. It would be nice to just skip to the part where your in the game.

Yeah, I've got a running back to, but I use my own name.
I had a couple of 150-200 yard games early on in the season. Now it seems like the defenses stack the line against me and force Charlie Frye to throw. of course, the O-coordinator took the bait, and seems to be calling pass plays left and right. Third and 2 ... you've got a RB that averages 2 yards a carry!! Nope, pass play instead, and Frye inevitably throws deep for an incompletion every time. I'm starting to see why some of these guys chew out their coaches.

The play calling drives me mad!! I hate the play calling, seems like every running play is a stretch or a sweep. RUN IT UP THE GUT. That's where I make my bread.

That's funny ... I make all my yards on stretch plays and cutback plays. Yet the OC, constantly calls slow developing plays like draws and misdirections. That stupid delayed misdirection is always good for a 5 yard loss.
Actually the sweep play is good for a 5 yards loss too, but the off-tackles and stretch plays always get me 10 or more yards. I hope if I get a captain role, it lets you call audibles like it does for defense.
By the way Jules ... What were your DNA parents? I had a Pro-Bowl scat back and an Olympic sprinter! (Yet my speed is only 92)

Plays I hate most.
Draws (WAAAY too many draws) The fake to the fullback, half back toss you're right, 5 yard loss every time. Sweeps PASSING PLAYS ON 3rd and 1...true Cleveland Browns style Half back screens on 3rd and short
ok i'll leave it at...the play calling is terrible.
The HB fullback lead is my fav play. Once that FB blocks that saftey...goodbye
I also LOVE the HB counter. If that guard gets out in front...goodbye!

"Your dad had the nerve to tell me that pre-season games don't count. Well they count to me sweetie".
I also loved it when she would keep asking if I scored any touchdowns when I was a linebacker.
