russell is another college player that became a combine darling and was way overhyped. when he does something worth mentioning in the NFL we'll talk. until then, you're only making yourself look foolish. who was that qb that made the 50 yard pass from his knees a few years back? oh yeah... http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6355/career;_ylt=Akq9yiLcjV5tMe_EyXDaykj.uLYF

If you want to do it that way, then I will. I will contact you at the end of this NFL season. If Russell looks good, then it proves I was right. If Russell looks bad, then you can laugh at me and I will admit you were right (even though it is only his first full season). Then we will have the stats to prove you wrong or right.
I guess with Oakland's depleted receiving corps, you are the favorite to win this one. But, I'm going to stick with what I said - Russell is and will be a good QB.
Don't worry - I won't forget about this. I remember everything. This isn't over between us.

If you promise to go away for the rest of the season, then fine. i'll draw the line at a passer rating of 80.0 (anderson's last year was 82.5, ranking a mediocre 17th in the league) with at least 300 pass attempts. if you feel this is unfair, then respond to this message. if you do not, i'll consider it a done deal.

Your first statement: Quote:
If Russell was on your team, he would start.
Your second statement:
Quote:
Yes he would start. Anderson doesn't have anything Russell doesn't.
I don't see you limiting your argument to physical tools. It appears that your reading comprehension needs a little work.
So....is this your second or your third time in high school?

Yeah, I know Kyle Boller can. The guy said only 50 yards and I was correcting him.
If you read my message above I said I would wait until the end of the season. Then I will brag or get slammed.

Physically gifted? Perhaps. Anderson can throw on a rope like no other. Throwing 90 yds in the air is nice and all, but that isn't what arm strength is about.
There's something to be said for the head game of QBing as well. I dont think we need to go there. Anderson runs by all accounts a complex O. Russell...oh wait he doesnt run any offense.
What are you talking about? Russell can throw a better "rope" than Anderson can. Just watch some of his highlights. Russell has incredible arm strength.
Russell could run an offense of any complexity. He is a lot smarter than you think. But, since you don't care about him - you wouldn't know anything about that.

Well I thought you would be smart enough to realize I was talking about physical tools. After all, whenever they talk about Russell - they always mention his arm strength etc.
Also, since Russell hasn't had much time to acquire stats in the NFL, most would realize it was obvious I wasn't talking about stats.
It seems that your ability to perceive the obvious needs a little work.

Also, Anderson had a QB rating of 57.0 in that game. And that was against an Oakland defense that was much worse than it is today.

Do they have a play where he drops back, falls to his knees and throws it 65 yards downfield? If not, then that is a totally useless piece of information.

That statement was totally retarded. The piece of information just informs everyone how strong of an arm he has. When you throw, you take a step or two to help you throw it better or farther. Take the legs away and you can see just how strong the arm really is. Duh.

Here is why I accidentally left the comma:
I was going to say: The Raiders, a team with a 4-12 record, beat the Browns last season.
However, I didn't feel the need to tell everyone how bad Oakland's record was last season. Apparently, I didn't delete the whole thing.
I'm sorry you were so frustrated with my accidental comma that you felt the need to notify me.
Just to be an ass, I decided to find a grammatical error you have posted. Your post on Chad Johnson changing his name has at least two errors. Let me point them out for you.
"I find him extremely annoying and wish I'd never hear his name again."
And wish I had never hear his name again? That doesn't make much sense to me.
and
"Thought I have to admit the petmo and Tiger things were both pretty funny."
The second t in "though" doesn't belong there.

Yes, because you aren't trying to talk smack now.
I really don't understand your constant defense about JR's physical tools? No one on this board has questioned that Russell has a great arm, and he could become a great quarterback. If he does, woohoo, big deal. Don't see how that's of any personal importance to you. What are you, his mother?
I mean, that's the only explanation. I couldn't imagine wasting my time going to other team's boards and telling them how good Brady Quinn will be.
I want the Cleveland Browns to be my pallbearers so they can let me down for the last time.

I was defending him because people started gunning on him after I said Anderson doesn't have anything Russell doesn't. People talked about the pro bowl and 10-6 record. I could only respond by talking about Russell's physical tools because he hasn't played much.
Of course it is important to me that Russell does well. He plays for my favorite team. If he doesn't do well, then the Raiders passing game will take a big blow for the next few years. When one of the Brown's top picks flops, do you just say: "Oh well, I don't mind another losing season."?

No, we won because we scored 2 more points than the Browns. It is not like it was only the blocked field goal that mattered in this game. Every play counted toward the Raiders' win and the Browns' loss. The Raiders also won because Ronald Curry caught a TD pass earlier in the game, etc.

Actually it the blocked field goal DID kinda matter. Had it went through (which it did the first time, but your coach called a timeout, which I feel that is kind of a cheap move, regardless of which team does it IMO) we would have won the game. It isn't like the Raiders had that great of a lead over the Browns during the game, so I don't know what you are getting at that every play counted towards the Raiders' win.
Lets look at this: At the end of the first the score was 3--0 Raiders. Not a huge deficit. End of second- 16-10 Raiders. Still not much to overcome. End of the third- 23-17 Raiders. The point I am trying to make here is that we were pretty evenly matched the whole game, not exactly complete domination by your team.

LOL...your hole is growing deeper.
You said he would start over Anderson because he has everything that Anderson does.
So now it goes one of two ways. You're either talking about stats, in which you automatically lose, or you're saying that he would start over Anderson, an experienced player who made the pro bowl, purely because of physical tools.
So you tell me, which horrific argument did you make?

It started off as a man crush that Snack boy had on Al Davis, then we found out he has one for Jamarcus Russell too. Hopefully he has some high school home work to do and we don't hear from him for a while.

You are right - The Browns were never far behind. So any play could have put them ahead of the Raiders or at least tied the game. In a close game every play matters because anyone can make a lead-changing play at any time. It wasn't just the blocked field goal that mattered.
