viagogo, Europe's leading secondary ticketing service, have continued its North American expansion with an innovative ticketing deal with the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns have named viagogo as their Official Victory Pass Partner. The viagogo Victory Pass™ Exchange guarantees Browns fans a secure method to purchase postseason tickets at face value if Cleveland makes it to the playoffs.

With this deal, viagogo has created a new sponsorship category in the international professional sports marketplace by officially offering fans a guaranteed way to purchase face-value tickets to playoff games, regardless of venue.viagogo will offer a limited number of postseason Victory Passes. The viagogo Victory Pass partnership will not affect the number of postseason tickets available directly through the Cleveland Browns.

viagogo Victory Pass prices will vary as the season evolves, but will start as low as $20 for some teams.

As the season progresses and the teams move up and down in their conference standings, the value of a viagogo Victory Pass will fluctuate based on market demand and each team's playoff prospects. Once a fan purchases a Victory Pass, they will be able to hold that Victory Pass until the end of the season or resell it on the viagogo Victory Pass Exchange.

In addition to the official team partnership with the Browns announced today, viagogo has also signed an exclusive Victory Pass partnership with the New York Jets, and is also offering Victory Passes for all 32 teams. Victory Passes are available now at http://www.viagogo.com/Victory-Pass.

viagogo's official Victory Pass category partnership with the Browns includes a range of marketing and promotional consideration including featured links and coverage on the Browns website, print advertising and on-air broadcast promotion.

That's like a mini-stock market... Interesting.

So it's gambling.

You buy the pass, and if your team doesn't make it to the game you purchased your out your cash, if they do, then you get a chance to buy a ticket at face value.

Kinda like making future bets.

I kinda wonder how many of these there actually can be.. Season Ticket holders are going to get first crack and thats in the range of 52,000 tickets or so..

Yeah, that's the first thing I thought of. That and I think I'd wait until at least the first 2 games before I bought anything with the word victory in it.

Guess I'm just the eternal pessimist......

It is a futures exchange....buy low in a gamble....the losers pay for the tickets viagogo has to buy at a permium to pay off those who win..

There was a site on the 'net a few years ago that did something similar, but it was pay the "futures" amount for you ticket(s) now. And prices were market (rather than site controlled like it seems viagogo is doing). If I had an extra $200 right now, I would think about this.

$400 per ticket (I think that if face for a SB ticket) is a lot better than $1500 (or whatever the SB ticket packages go for). Of course, I'm flat broke right now, so I'll just look at it and laugh. And I've got free lodging in Central FL at my sister's place so I'd just need to borrow her car to get to Tampa. Certainly more affordable.
