Nice pick and a no call, but that has been pretty typical of the night.

It's funny to hear Brent Musberger and Kirk Herbstreit laugh about that illegal pick. "Only if you get caught".

Very poorly played game.

So is Caroll going to show his class and run up the score? At this point he can pretty much do as he pleases.

Let Pryor take the majority of the snaps this season. He doesn't seem as affected by the pressure. Boekman's choking big time....he's lost out there. Let Pryor get the experience for the Michigan game and show rickrod what he missed out on.

OSU will drop out of the top 20 after this.

And yes he's gonna run up the score.

I don't see why he shouldn't.

If I were him and a team this overrated, who kept my team out of the NC game two years in a row, i'd keep scoring until it wasn't possible.

When the halftime show started did you hear the guy intro by saying "WE have a 21 to 3 lead"

I know this is the OSU vs USC thread but is anyone else watching the Wisonsin game? I must say this is a terrible day all around for the big ten conference.

You dont think the backups want to play? If you cant stop the 3rd stringers then score should get run up.

We lost at home to a team USC beat like they stole something.

USC has been the better team last year and this year.

Wow !!Harsh.... I did not expect to win.
But in the very least they could try to make it respecatble.
Our D-line is getting mugged out there if I am to be an apologist.
But to be real, seems WE have "tucked tail" and run for the house from the big kids. (Quoting Kirk.)
Guess I have to say wait till next year.
Wowthat sounds funny when talking about the Buckeyes.
The Big Ten title is still attainable.
Night all.

Tressel might be the worst big game coach in NCAA... and the players might be the worst big game players in the NCAA. The only one who looks like they even care is Pryor.

Boeckman is done in my eyes.... he shouldnt take another snap this season. Tressel needs to grow a pair and quit babying these guys. Boeckman is lost and has no future as a QB in the NFL so don't try and show him off to get him drafted or something. Let's prepare for next season and let Pryor take this team to where they need to be. Seems like everyone on the sideline has more confidence in him anyway.

My thoughts on the game

Positives:

Relax, USC is a damn good football team. Ohio State can still win the big 10 and beat michigan. However the best they can hope for is a rose bowl bid. Pryor looks like the real deal.

Negatives:

Folks its simple. The score does not indicate how trully bad this game was. Football is won in the trenches. OSUs O-line was MANHANDLED by USCs D-line. OSUs D-line had no pressure on Marc Sanchez. Shoot I could have picked OSUs secondary apart with that much time. Tod boeckmen sucks ass. I do not understand why we didnt use Pryor more. He was the only home run threat we had and we didnt use him. Once again our WRs couldnt create seperation and when they did they couldnt catch a cold. Joe McKnight ripped our defense apart. Laurinautis and Freeman disapeared. Special teams was just flat out awful. Do not blame the refs for OSU having mental mistakes and poor execution. We had a senior O-linemen commit 2 false start penalties on the same damn drive!!!! Jim Tressel didnt make second half adjustments and got outcoached by Pete Carrol. Tressel was outcoached in the Florida and LSU game. Im greatful that we have him. Im not saying he cant win big games. Its just at some point he needs to get away from playing conservativly. Bottom line USC was the better team with or without Chris Wells. Im not saying they couldnt have won but its the truth. They had no seniors step up. They looked lethargic and quit in the 2nd half. Their is no excuse for quiting on your team. I dont care what the score is

Boeckman choked bigtime last week against freakin Ohio University. Who on earth thought he would be able to accomplish anything against the best team in the country?

Nice pick, Todd.

Ok once again, when did I say he should stop? So why are you calling me bitter? Well yeah I am bitter we got our behinds beat but that has nothing to do with anything. At this point I am kind fo wondering why he still has Sanchez in the game, wouldnt it be a good idea to get his backup some playing time??

Do we honestly deserve any respect on this field? We came there with Ray Small saying they are thugs (True, but he shouldn't say it). And our defense is hardly putting up a fight.

It's not his job to stop his offense, it's ours.

Just because they kicked our ass does not make some of thier players any less thuggish.
Heck they have a felony suspect playing tonight.
At least Tress kicks those types off of the team.

where we will likely get it handed to us again... everyone will be back for USC on offense and they will only be more explosive. Also this "young inexperienced" line will have experience. USC may lose Ellison, Mays, Ray, and Cush, but they always reload at those positions so I'm sure they be just as strong next year.

Tressel would allow the case to work its way through the court before he released the player from the team but that guy sure as hell wouldnt be playing a few days after getting arrested on a felony.

Lol, Illinois beat Louisiana Lafayette by 3, Purdue blew a 20-6 lead and lost to Oregon, Michigan and Ohio State both got rolled. In my opinion, no it wasn't a good weekend for the big 10.
