As a side note - do you remember those ads that one of the car manufacturer's was running that you'll never pay over $2.99 for gas? Wow, great gimic and it worked to their advantage. In hindsight, a brilliant ad to get people in to buy a car. Not so great for those that thought it was a good deal.

we were just talking about that. I just filled up over the weekend for under $30 for the first time in years.

However OPEC's meeting was moved up earlier and they have stated that they will decrease their output of oil, so don't expect these prices to last.

Shoot, just come visit me for a little bit tomorrow and you will get it for the very most of 2.39. If we end up going down it will go to 2.29 to follow Alliance stations.

I paid $2.47 tonight. But still for premium that's good and I finally got 4+ gallons for $10.

Wow, I could live with that. If gas would stay at that range, that'd be great. I'd be able to fill my tank for well under $25, whereas before it was costing me around $40 or so. And I go through about a full tank a week. About $45 every paycheck for 2 weeks, or over $80 on gas per paycheck....hmmmmm.

Saw it drop to $2.37 tonight on my way home. It keeps going down like a drunk.... um, I'll skip that one.

I don't even want to talk about what we spend on gas just driving to work...Jules drives 80 miles each way and I drive 30 each way. Ugh.

Ouch. That sucks. I hate to drive that much. 80 miles would be awful. Not only does it eat at your pockets, but it just takes a lot of your day away. Between driving time and work, you don't have much time at home on your work days.

The hospital I work at is 17 miles each way, which ends up being a half an hour drive. That's about as far as I would travel for work unless I'm getting a serious pay raise to drive further. I just hate eating away at my day just driving to get somewhere.

Saw $2.25 down here at the Speedway at 18 and I-71. Not quite sub-$2.00, but gaining on it!

I went to Speedway in the Boro, and got gas for $1.98. With gas prices like these, and its very own Sonic, maybe Streetsboro should be made the new capital of Ohio.

LMAO because that hits so close to home, I live in Rootstown and come through Streetsboro every day on the way to work and it is litrally the center of the unierse around here becaue the stations here in Rootstown insist on keeping there gas at $2.29. I also visit Sheetz, which is the greatest gas station in the world on a regular basis.

Absolutely. Ordering food while you're pumping gas = awesome!

LOL isnt it, when I lived in Cleveland we did not have anything like Sheetz. When I moved down here it seemed like everytime I asked someone where to find something they said " go to Sheetz". Need gas? Go to Sheetz! Need chili cheese fries? go to Sheetz! Need a lobotomy? Go to Sheetz!

I also have a Jeep Grand Cheerokee. I filled it up in Streetsboro today for $1.97 a gallon. Gave the guy $40 and had to go back and get my dollar change back. It felt good for sure. I remember back in the summer I was on E and stopped and filled up and it cost me $72.

You go to the one on 306? I rock that place at least once a day for smokes. At first when the girls at work wanted to get food from there, I was a little skeptical b/c after all,, gas station food? Yeah right. But, my company has some kind of business partnership with them and they give us coupons for free food, iced mocha, etc. I must say their grub is pretty damn good. Plus they always hook you up with free coupons if you have their Sheetz card. I have been getting their steak subs and a frozen mocha w/whipped cream,,sooo good.

The only thing thats annoying are the hilljacks and wanna be "Fast and Furious" kids that think that place is the spot to park and hang out

Before I moved into my house (7 years or so ago), I'd go to Sheetz all the time since it was just down the road from where I grew up. I go only once in a while now, though it's still just less than 10 minutes from me.

I did get a sub from there out in PA on my way back from vacation in July, and I thought it was crappy. Tried another a month later, thinking maybe I got a bad one, and same thing. Didnt' taste good at all. They used to have good grub.

Did they get cheap and ruin their stuff? Got an italian sub both times, and it just didn't taste good at all, and it was one of the subs that I used to get all the time. Haven't been back since.

I have been going to Get-Go instead. Menu isn't quite as big yet, but it's gotten bigger, and their subs are pretty decent. For some reason Sheetz just seems to have changed their stuff.
