I want to know how they tracked those checks. I put mine in the bank. Around the same time, I bought a washer and dryer. I didn't use their money to pay it off...do they assume I did?

How did you get 600 bucks ? All I got was 50 lousy bucks. That can't even pay groceries ! I could use a little more stimulation, please.
I am just shocked That there have not been 100 posts from guys jumping up and down offering to help out
It's not the size of the check that matters.....

Take the 20 or so billion we spend on foreign aid, and use it to start rebuilding Americas infrastructure, which would create work for Americans.
I believe that number is a bit lower than what we actually throw at other countries
It's close. It's actually in the 22 Billion range but that's a rounding error for Fat Cats like you and me.

Eve, do you really think this comment wouldn't be picked up on?
I'm too much of a gentleman to give a zinger. I'll save that for some of the less desireables like DC and GM.
See GM, I even included you. Guess I hit the nail on the head you dirty old man.

Here's what they should do. Take that $700 billion or whatever it was, and give each American a cut to use to pay off all their debt. Then, Americans would have all kinds of money to put back into the economy!!
That wouldn't work..we are good, paying bank customers.....you can't get rid of us or the banks would have nothing. They are counting on you to keep paying them for the next 20-30 years.

But isn't that just in "aid" that does not include the "loans" wink, wink, that the USA knows they will never collect on?

I'd rather they skip the stimulus checks and instead just have them drop my taxes by the amount that they will have to raise them in order for us to pay for the loan we'll have to take to give out the stimulus checks in the first place.
Screw cutting me a check, cut my taxes and put the money in my pocket NOW.

Well street pharmacists buy items in the economy as well..
But that brings up a good solution.. Legalize drugs and tax the hell out of them.

Or implement the Fair Tax, whereby eliminating the income tax and implementing a national sales tax. I'm a huge proponent of this and will vote for just about any politician who supports it. www.fairtax.org Those that make tax free money will be taxed when they buy stuff.

HEY! Don't give the Gov't any ideas.. They may impose a "Fair tax, Sales Tax" while still imposing an income tax..
