Pittsburgh is still the bully in this division.Balt.has rebuilt themselves into a pretty good team in the last two years.Without some major overhauling,we are not going to be able to beat either in the foreseeable future.
Baltimore had Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Bart Scott and Suggs to build around... The biggest thing we lack, that the Steelers and Ravens have.. is a couple playmakers on defense.. We went after Wimbley and it hasn't worked out.. Rogers is a beast and DQ is solid but we need 2 legit playmakers on defense.. and we are right there... On offense I think we have the playmakers and the line, even missing a guy here or there is still not bad.. I have much less understanding of why our offense struggles the way it does.

Yep, I just saw that and was going to post it too! Interesting that he's starting against a depleted secondary of the Browncos.
We'll see how this works!
And the next head coach is ......

What, you mean that the FO had a plan on when to start Quinn to give him the best chance to learn, grow and have some success while not throwing away a shot at the playoffs? I'm shocked

It may "aprear" that way, but RAC isn't going to tell the media that a player has been benched until he, you know, tells the player.

ESPN is reporting it wasn't Crennels decision. They are saying it was fan driven especially with two prime time games coming up.

Those are 4 dynamic football players,we have no one in thier class. Those guys don't grow on trees,it will take years to acquire that kinda talent. That's years I no longer have.

I get more impressed with Romeo every day. To purposily make himself look foolish to protect the fragile ego of a player is comendible.

First, he din't make himself look foolish. Second, he did it out of RESPECT for his player. There isn't a decent coach out there that would announce the benching of a player to the media before telling the player. That's classless and shows a complete lack of respect.

Yes. In a four day week, they "planned" that.
Jeesh. Nostradomas is among us.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Yes, when the playoffs were out the window and then seeing how the Bronco's defense has played, it was part of the plan. Don't believe it? I could care less. There will be some along before long that will talk about the discussions had in PMs about if Quinn would be starting and when. Til then, enjoy. You got what you've been wanting. I'm hoping Quinn doesn't have a huge learning curve and lights it up.

Who told you this? I'm curious as to where you got this information. Or are you stating your opinion as fact again? As always, you're wrong about the QB situation. The entire staff collaborated on the decisions with the QB. They were all in agreement.

How do you deflect that question any better than he did?? How should he answer it before DA knows he's not starting?

You just don't answer it.
Say something like "We are not discussing the QB position right now. Next question."
It's pretty simple really.

This is insane. Why do this on a short week? Brady would be better off starting the next game against the Bills with ten days to prepare.

Kash, he can't say that...he's been answering all along that DA is the starter. He changed it up a bit today, though. But to say you aren't discussing it is a dead giveaway that something is up. Isn't it best that DA heard this before the rest of us?

This is the perfect game, IMO. Who cares if the team is a bit "off" due to a new QB? It's not like the guys will be as fresh as normal anyway due to the short week. It also gives BQ a chance to start at home, hopefully get some kinks and nerves worked out, THEN head in to Monday Night on national TV.
Edit -- WTH, why delete your post, Candyman?

I see your side, I just think if you know and you are making the announcement later, you save the BS. I completely totally agree DA needs to know before everyone else though so take it for what its worth.
It doesn't matter anymore. I just want to believe that Crennel had as much say in this as he should have.

While I can see the need to inform the player that he's riding the pine before you clue in the ink-stained wretches of the press there are plenty of ways around making any statement at all until Derek had been informed. And saying that doing this at this time was part of the "plan" is pure BS and we all know it. They may have had a plan but I cannot believe that making Brady the starter during a short week after a crushing loss was part of the plan. Especially, since the way it was handled makes RAC look ineffectual and all but slaps a sign on DA that says "scapegoat". C'mon, I was born at night but it wasn't last night.
