5 degrees there, huh? You have it good. Right now we're at -8 degrees, as in 8 below zero.

Actually, I have friends in Quebec. And, while they get a lot more snow than us, they say it isn't as cold there. Heck, I don't know, it's cold here.

This morning it was warmer in Anchorage Alaska than Ohio They were at a balmy 41 degrees, which was the same temp in Jacksonville Fla. Global warming my ass

But that's nothing compared to what playoffmaker is dealing with up in the twin cities. This morning it was something like -25 up there

Never been up to Minnesota, but apparently in Minneapolis, the buildings downtown are connected by walkways to keep people inside.

Man, y'all a bunch of little girls up in here! Ohhh my, the Ohio winter is so BAD! It's cold! There's snow!

Come to Jackson, Michigan... feel the -25 Below I felt today, look around to see over a foot of snow on the ground, and a depressing city with nothing to do but bowl and EAT, that is known around the state as "ohh yeah, the place with the prison!" and the worst county economy in the state.....

Yeah... Central Ohio sounds like heaven right now

Sorry bud. Jackson is less than 60 miles from my house - closer to 45. It wasn't 25 below there today. You have a foot of snow? So do I. You have a prison, I have a prison - about 2 miles from my house. (CCNO - not quite the same as a state pen, I know)

Well....just to let you all know, we've had 39 and 37 degree days this week here in Melbourne, Australia (i ain't converting it....just know it was freakin' hot.)

I got sunburnt on Xmas day when in the Sea. Still takes some getting used to, hot weather at Xmas(....and they still got snowmen and robins and reindeer on their xmas cards )

I'll be playing golf this Sunday....enjoy the N. Hemisphere winter folks. (Cleveland in November was bad enough for me, and i thought the UK was cold, you guys got it bad )

Ohhh you sun of a,,,sunburn on Christmas eh? I wish hehe, the only kind of burn we get around these parts on Christmas is the burn from frost bite

it's -8 here this morning (with the wind it feels like -30). I really want to stay home this morning and not have to deal with that walk to my only class today. My wife was up most of the night b/c of her accident, so I might just do that so she can sleep. This is the only day I am glad I don't have to work. I really feel for the mailmen and guys that have no choice but to be out there for extended periods of time.

For 62 degrees? If it were 62 in Ohio today people would be in shorts.

LOL. It's funny. Cause I see all the folks at my hotel from Jersey and PA (and 2 families from Strongsville, Oh) out on the beach in their swim trunks and they are all having a grand ol' time. Me? I'm walking around with my long sleeves and a windbreaker on.

Yeah, it's funny how the body acclimates to certain climates and what feels cool to some feels warm others. It happens here as fall approaches -- people will think 60 degrees is cool and start dressing warmer, but in the spring when it's 60, we wear shorts and a t-shirt.

I live in Ohio, but I don't wear shorts when it's 60......

T-shirts and jeans, yes. Shorts, no.

How true, we were just talking about that, I just went out and started a few lady's cars, it's -5 around here. even though it's cold, it dosent bother me to much, granted I wouldnt wanna be outside for long periods of time, but I've grown use to the cold over the years as most living in Ohio. People in Texas were complaining it was gonna dip into the 30's today, LOL...

How wimpy! If the temp even hints at sixty, it's shorts and moccasins baby!!

I don't wear shorts until the temp outside is warmer than the temp inside. So 70's I guess.

I like jeans.

I get cold easily anyways. Like right now, my feet are freezing.

I'm the same way,,I hate being cold so I don't wear shorts unless it's like 70. I'd rather be sweating bullets in 90 degree with humidity than freezing like today. I literally got frost bite on my fingers this morning for being outside only a half hour taking stuff out of my wifes car. It's my own fault though b/c I was in a hurry to leave and had my good gloves in another coat
I can't stand this weather.

Yeah, this is the kind of weather I don't miss my old college job. I worked on a dock loading freight at a trucking company. Whatever the temp was outside, it was the same on the dock. Those steeltoe boots were awful in temps like these. I was miserable.

In the summer, you'd sweat your nuts off in the trailers, but I'd rather sweat than to have my feet by frozen so bad that they hurt.

Ohh I know. I did the same thing before working for a machine shop. When the trucks came in I had to load and unload them no matter what.

Days like this I really feel for the mailmen. No matter what the mail has to run and those guys have to walk around in this crap and thru the snow. But that's why they get the big bucks I guess

They just said an area just NE of Dayton, actually not far North of where we live, is the coldest spot in the 50 states right now. Ick...that's a record best given to someplace else.
