I just wanted to let you all know....chemo sucks! Especially on Christmas Eve.

I had to get a transfusion of platelettes (spelling?) today as well as chemo. For the first time, my blood counts were low. The nausea was almost immediate today.
On a positive note, I was still able to enjoy spending time with family today, even though I was on the couch most of the time. It really is a special Christmas this year, as we all appreciate things a little more.
On another positive note, the player I discussed earlier in this thread called me Monday. He told me that he wants to come to play for us because he wants to play for me. He said any coach that would call him DURING his chemo treatment is the kind of coach that is dedicated to his players and he wants to play for that kind of coach. Needless to say, I'm thrilled with his decision and honestly can't wait to see him and my son play alongside each other the next couple of years. It goes to show you, I guess, that if you continue to do your job the way it's supposed to be done, those that take shortcuts will lose out.
Merry Christmas to all of you and, again, thank you for your prayers and thoughts.
