So, McKay will never reschedule and there are on other candidates Lerner could be considering? Even after scheduling Coke's interview, he scheduled with Heckert. Seems to me he's still looking. Add to that the report that said Lerner wasn't in a hurry to hire a GM and it adds up to more possibilities. You have information to the contrary?

Heckert cancelled. Any word on if McKay is still interested?

Old Mr.Barnum sure was right.
Mckay,in very gentlemanly manner, excused himself from this job.
Heckert wants no part of this pacaca.
That leaves Kolitis.
There's noone else.
In reality it doesn't matter.I mean how much qualifacation do you need to say
"Yessir,Mr.Mangini,Isa gets that guy for yas"

So you're saying our new GM is going to be The Manginian Candidate?

Here are some possibilities....I have no inside information that Lerner has looked at or will look at them, but noone has information that he hasn't either, so my conjecture is just as good as your conjecture:

Director of College and Pro Scouting - Tom Ciskowski

He does do more than scouting for Jerry Jones and Jones has allowed him to convince him, so he obviously respects his opinion. for instance, he was the guy who convinced Jerry to stand pat and draft Felix Jones instead of trading up to get McFadden.

Then, there's the Pitt guys

Kevin Colbert, Director of Football Operations
Doug Whaley, Pro Personnel Coordinator

Not sure that we could squeeze Colbert out, but it'd be worth a try. For more on Whaley, here's a nice article that talks about him in reference to KCs GM opening:

There's 3 guys that for all we know Lerner is trying to setup interviews with. Can they tork with Mangini? I don't know, but noone can say they cannot.

The PD thinks there's a chance we get some fallback options in place in case something goes wrong with Kokinis (who is supposedly still a near-lock). Granted, they're only possibilities right now and they're Ted Sundquist (who most recently has been employed by ProFootballTalk ) and Chris Polian, who would likely take a miracle of God to pry away from Indianapolis and a position as his dad's successor (and he's young as well), but at least it opens the possibility for a better GM process... hopefully.
