Now 8-4 with a big game upcoming versus Cincy.
Still not sure how I'm getting these wins, but I will take em. Not expecting much if I make playoffs, cause all of my rookies are starting and getting the experience.
Good game man, somehow I won despite the fact that you led in almost every stat category. I guess the difference was you had two turnovers and I had none, which I think is a first for me all year.

That was me you beat Rabidawg, it was a pretty even game except 2 of my turnovers led to 10 pts for you. I started out 6-1 now i'm 7-7.

I had a good season.....that loss was in the Sim Bowl.....I would rather get smoked than to loose by 2 points..... ...oh well, better luck next year I guess....

I'm in a serious dogfight in the National South Division.....I have droppped the last 2....but I'm still only 1 game out of the division lead.....and my last 2 games are against the 2 teams ahead of me...I control my own destiny since I have alreay beat both teams once this year......but it seems that I always win one and lose one against division rivals, so we will see.....Is anyone here Atlanta, or carolina.....I know Rabid is New Orleans......but he is kinda out of it.....

Problem guys. Our next draft is Easter Sunday. I can't make it then and I'm guessing quite a few of you guys can't too. Is there anyway we can get it delayed a week?

Well that guy i suspected of cheating in another one of my leagues was at it again so i sent in a ticket about him and they determined he was farming talent so they gave him a warning and took away one of the teams from him.

If it was just us from Dawgtalkers, then it wouldn't be a problem....but I doubt that since it is now a public league that they would do that......if you can't make it, I have heard that the draft pools you can set up works pretty good....you just get kinda screwed on the durability......what I do is if I can't make the draft, trade for what I need using my picks......usually I end up with a bunch of 3rd, 4th, and 5th round picks and you can just let the auto pick get you your depth players........that way, you get what you need, and you would be surprised on what you can get for draft picks.....just an idea.......

I just joined the Thurston league and took over the Cleveland team. The previous owner got busted for cheating just like you are talking about....he had two teams and was farming the good players and such......I got great skill position players, but he didn't do anything to the Ol or the DL.....so it doesn't help much that I have great QB, RB, WR's and can't get them the ball....I get sacked at least 5 times a game, I can't run for nothing, and I give up at least 100 yards a game.....and that is concentrating on stopping the run.....I think the best DL I have is like an 85 or so.......I have never seen anything like it...my starting RB is a 100 and I have a 1 or 2 year RB that is a 98 overall....same with the WR's....it is ridiculous......I hope he left me some draft picks, cause I am gonna need them to draft some lineman.....maybe trade for a few

Damn really? ALL 32 teams? please tell me a steeler fan picked the steelers.... I joined some random one...i keept looking until i could pick cleveland(doesn't matter i guess..but i wanted cle) They are on day 25 right now...playoffs...my team isn't terrible right now...i have 100 LB 100 OL and a decent QB with a rookie QB that has 100 potential. Since it's Cleveland obviously i'm not in the playoffs(slef burn) just yet. So i have to wait until the predraft days to see some real action. Overall only postion lacking any depth is LB/DL/WR which i will be picking next week during the draft.

Like Dawg said...check tuesday...I would try to check as early as possible..and keep on checking....I'm not sure how that works when a new season starts when all the coaches that haven't extended their contracts get the boot...but I'm sure there will be a few....

I don't want to steal someones spot.... My league is on day 28 right now. So i'll find out in the next couple of days how this works...i joined for 1 year on day 25....i wonder if it counts this ending year as "1 year" and i have to renew for next season tomorrow.
Oh and how do i find the dawgtalk one? do i just search for it? what is it exactly called.

The league name is "Dawgtalkers" and we just had our SimBowl today so its still full. I'd start checking after Midnight tonight to see if a team opens up.

I will defiinitely be planning my off-season moves tommorrow.......which also happens to be my favorite part also...!!!! I think that I'm pretty close to being a contender, I just need 1 or 2 more good players and some better game planning on my part and I SHOULD be ok......
I'm really curious to see where I will be picking....I should be somewhere in the 15th pick range......

Hey guys is there a free agency period in this? like the playes you have need to be resigned? or is the FA just full of undrafted players?

No you don't have to re-sign your own players and most of the FAs before the draft are low potential players however after cut down day you may be able to find some good players. My Cincy team in another league just lost a Dlineman to injury in game 5 and to my luck there was a 9 year vet with an 84 rat/pot and 86 durability that was a FA because another team had to many good Dlinemen and was unable to trade one away before the season started and nobody else either needed him or didn't recheck the FAs available.

And just to add a little to that.....I have found now 3 players that have been injured for the season that for some reason the user decided to release. All 3 were 100 potential and 3 years old or younger.....so I signed them and they have climbed to a 70 or so current rating and still climbing and I did nothing but sign them...these are potential 1st round picks that people are just giving away.....I don't know if they are just giving up on them, or if this is some sort of strategy or what......but like the old saying goes "One mans junk, is another mans treasure"......the draw back is they all are still carrying a high 60's durability, but that too has climbed form a low to mid 50 range....I have gotten 2 LB's and a TE this way......I now check the FA list every day just in case.....in fact, I think I got the TE in our league......

I was kind of scared late last night. I was checking my teams around 12:30am and it didn't list my team for the dawgtalkers league so i was starting to panic cause i knew i had signed up for 2 years. I couldn't find it in the available leagues either. Luckily when i checked back this morning it was there.

I'm in a different league, and boy did I pick the worst team to take over. 71 overall, no offensive line, and all my good players are old.
Thankfully, because of a very high quality draft and a hard training camp, my team is an 80 going into the season. Unfortunately, the other three teams in the West are high eighties or low 90's. Hopefully a 16th year running back who has the ability of Walter Payton can carry me to the playoffs...I hope.
you had a good run Hank.

Hey how importat is the durablity? is high 70s low 80s ok? i mean what is the limit anyway? like anything below 80 is injury prone? does 100 mean they will never be hurt?

When I read the rules and description on Durability, they said 50 is to be considered average.
I would guess 100 is Brett Farve, 90 is very durable, 80 is durable, 70 minor injury problems, 60 nagging injury, 50 average, 40 injury prone, 30 brittle, 20 extremely injury prone, 10 Glass and 0 is Courtney Brown.
you had a good run Hank.

From my experience...stay away from the 50's and 60's, unless you can let them sit the bench for awhile...I don't mess with anyone lower than a 70 if any way possible. I had a LB start with a 57 durability, but it was a Lawerence Taylor with a 136 blitizing as a rookie, so I had to start him...well, needless to say within 3 games he was injured for like 5 games, he cam back got hurt again for the season....he has now sat out a whole year and is gonna start this season....he is currently an 85 durability...so if you can afford to have them sit the bench for at least a year...maybe have them as your LB5...or what ever position they play, I think they MAY turn out to be ok....

Man, did I ever draft a bust HB in the Fouts Draft 2 seasons ago.... I took him 3rd overall, he came out with Ability like OJ and 82/ Rating with an 86 durability. Well he has gotten injured 5 times in the last 2 seasons and is now a 62....uggghhhhh

It looks like because of this trade I may have 2 top 10 picks this year in the fouts league, top 15 at the least...now i can make some moves with that

My other league (Scott) I'm in I keep getting offers for my starting QB, he's a stud and people think I will just give him away.
In the Dawgtalkers league I'm willing to look at trades for picks my way, and defense for my offensive players.
