I don't want to sound like a Ferry Hater because I'm not....It's just Frustrating when I know that we are close to winning an NBA Title if that final piece is added...Who that will eventually be - I don't know ....I just really want to see us acquire that player and I will admit i was count up in the Amare scenario pretty deep-I would have loved to have him....
Keep in mind Ferry worked his ass off to try and make a move.. Obviously the right "deal" was not their in his mind.. One thing you will notice is that none of the guys we "targeted" got moved...
Trust me man, a lot of us (Ferry included) wanted that extra piece to make us the clear favorite, but for some reason or another it just did not happen.. What I can tell you is that this organization has a lot of confidence in JJ Hickson, because he was by far our best (most potential, plus its VERY hard to find good young bigs) asset that we were dangling out their, so by not making a move, it really shows that in the end, the org. did not want to part with him...
I really think we can win it with what we have, but quite honestly, our bigs are gonna really need to step up as we go down the stretch and into the playoffs..
Snap on your seatbelts folks, this is gonna be a helluva ride...
Y'all think the Boston series was intense last year, just wait till this year's rematch...

ferry was on knr, and take it for what it is, but he said a lot of the guys that wered talked about on espn, or the blogs, really weren't available unless you wanted to give up half your team.
i agree, our bigs gotta step up, and ferry can still work on maybe picking up a big man, should any get released...
who knows, maybe the guys will play better knowing they won't be traded, guys like wallace, hickson, even wally, who's playing pretty good anyways...

And this is one thing specifically what I like about Ferry, and even Windhorst (Ferry's puppet )
Ferry was extremely active in talks with teams but plays things very close to the vest with the media.. The guy knows what to say... the less you say the better when you are in a position like his...

Let's start from...U ready???
24-4...
24-4 people...Ferry made the RIGHT MOVE today...He couldn't get what we WANT for what we WANTED to give...That's a mark of a GREAT GM...Don't give up MORE than u want for anything...But damn he made the effort...
Camby woulda looked sweet here...
So we go on...Get healthy...And we can still pop Boston...AND LA...
Game 1...Boston...Loss...In Boston by 5...Big Deal... Game 2...Boston...Win...In Cleveland...NO Z... Game 1 LA...In LA...Loss...NO Z AND NO WEST... Game 2..LA...In Cleveland...Loss...NO WEST...Odom played over his head...
41-11...17 Home...13 Road left...I take it and say "Let's Roll"...
Go Browns!!!

yeah there is no doubt in mine that ferry is a pretty damn good bball mind and has done a damn good job unfubaring paxson/gunds mess. We have the Best owner/gm/coach combo in cleveland with the cavs right now. would i have like to see another big..sure...but i think we'll be ok..and there might be that chance to snag smith, but he probably ends up in boston with his buddy. I think the Vets are going to take this team to another level down the stretch and get some of these young guys focused like hickson. I see hickson and i see such a incredible but raw player. If he can stay focused he's gonna be a good one..i'm glad we didn't deal him. I wouldn't have cared if we had to trade a boobie or a sasha. I still think west injury actually hurt us more than Z's injury..I never realized how active and consistent he was up until then..good to see him back
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday. -John Wayne

Ferry's definitely doing a great job as a GM. He had to to make up for the Ron Harper trade
Joe Thomas made Justin Timberlake change his name. He didn't want wusses to have the same initials...

lol
Seriously though I think Ferry is doing the right thing by staying put, you can't replace what Wallace does for us on the defensive end. I didn't like the Shaq trade from the beginning. What would our starting front court look like with Shaq and Z? lol that would be a nightmare.

With Boston's loss to Utah tonight we're in first in the East again by virtue of the loss column. Garnett got injured in the game but it didn't look too serious...doubt he'll miss much time.
In other news...ESPN is reporting that with all the moves they made in the past couple days, they're going to cut Mikki Moore, and that Cleveland may use their mid-level exception to sign him, partially because they believe he might otherwise wind up in Boston. Keep in mind that Boston also wants to sign Joe Smith and/or Stephon Marbury, but they only have one open roster spot, I believe. I don't know a whole heck of a lot about Moore, but I remember him giving us fits more than once when he was a New Jersey Net. And inexpensive depth at the bigs is not a bad thing for this team right now.

I see and hear everything. Now where did I put my white cane, and my hearing aid?
