I'm one of the people that turned it off and went to bed at halftime, but I would say that it was just a reversal of what we saw the whole first half, which was LOTS of turnovers and very sloppy offensive play by the Cavs and the Clips playing decent D and dropping their shots.
We completely sucked in that first half.. they apparently just sucked a little bit more in the 2nd half.

... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

The D locked down in the fourth and forced the Clips into poor shots and turnovers, and our shooters hit the shots that they'd been missing all game up to that point. That's why we won.
Anyone getting down on people for "reacting during the game" needs to lay off. Cavs were down 7 after the first, 14 at the half, and 17 going into the fourth, and had played terribly all night. Saying as much isn't reacting as much as it is pointing out the obvious. 19 point 4th-quarter comebacks are surely not the norm. We had to double our point total of any other quarter and play lockdown D to win by four.
A great win, to be sure, but after three quarters it was hardly a sure thing. Far from it, as a matter of fact.

Well I was all but ready to blame this one on Excl...but I figured you'd left when we were 19 down in the 4th  To be honest I am not so sure what woke them out of their funk. It was probably a combination of things as things tend to be. But one thing is for sure...the Cavs are an amazing team when they move the ball around on offense...I can't stand it when they go to the "give it to Lebron and and one pass" offense...
I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...
What's the use of wearing your lucky rocketship underpants if nobody wants to see them????

I didn't see the game so I can say for sure but usually it's one guy that just refuses to lose and puts out that extra effort and makes a couple shots or a couple stops, then it becomes contagious..

i take the ice as soon as this one starts tonight, may have to be a dvr night.
i have come to love dvr'ing games. i watched the detroit and atlanta sunday nighters via dvr.
took about an hour. fast forwarding through all the commercials and garbage.
the only downside is my gf grinning at me because she knows the outcome.

I've sadly missed the past few weeks  It's been 8am-10:30/11 pretty much every single day at the university lately (yes, even weekends). How has Joe Smith been looking? Other than the pass he had one the eventual Mo 3 pointer to go ahead, I haven't heard of anything about him.

He & LeBron have clicked already it seems as they've hooked up a few times where LBJ finds him just camping under the net and LBJ will rip a pass in from outside the 3-pt line and Joe just drops it in before the other team knows what hit 'em.

friday night was a bit rough for him, i think mike brown forced the issue.
after that night though, he's been very good, it's the small things with him, he does the things you wish jj would do.
and yes, he and lbj have kinda picked up where they left off, it's nice to see.
this move will pay off more in apr/my/jun than now.

I'd like to talk about some of the issues that came out of the Cavs' 119-111 victory over the Suns here tonight but there is a lot of news and loose ends to tie up. It's getting on 3 a.m. back home and I'm still at the US Airways Center and the Cavs are just now getting out of the building to the airport for Sacramento. And they are going to do it sore. Here's a breakdown of the injury situations on Delonte West, LeBron James and Zydrunas Ilgauskas:
• West has a strained lower back as a result of his hard landing in the third quarter when he ran into Steve Nash. The Cavs took an X-ray here and nothing is broken but he'll probably be getting an MRI at some point. Right now the team is calling it back spasms, which Delonte has battled over the years. Last season he missed a couple games with them. He stayed in the shower for a good 20-25 minutes, probably trying to loosen it up for a hour or so flight to Sacramento.
• LeBron said he experienced a "stinger" down his leg in the third quarter when he nailed knees and shins with Grant Hill and Louis Amundson. He also took a shot in the right thigh from Shaquille O'Neal in the fourth quarter and he's shaking off a mild ankle sprain from Tuesday in L.A. He got his normal full-body ice down after the game and said he was sore but expected to play Friday. He's taking a heavy minute load over the last couple games, though, and the Cavs will probably try to get him some extra rest.
• Ilgauskas thinks he suffered a broken nose after getting an elbow from Shaq. It's swollen on the left side and was turning purple after the game. He said he'll play Friday and doesn't intend to wear a mask.

good game last night, glad to see us come out on top.
our defense was not very good. i know phoenix is all offense, but we got lazy quite a bit, we should have bagged that game earlier, and in fact, we could have easily lost that game.
sasha gave us pretty good minutes yesterday. if delonte is out, he should step in. clutch shooting last night, and just overall good play.
what was jason richardson thinking? my girlfriend turned to me, and goes, didn't the announcers just get done saying the suns needed to win almost every game to get in? bingo. you don't pull that hot dog stuff in a tight game with an elite team, when your playoff future is in question. vince carter would not have tried to pull that move at that point in the game. i really think that changed everything. yes, he was fouled, but he got what he deserved. you take away 2 points, and i believe we went down and hit a 3. 5 point swing. that's why you're the phoenix suns.
mo was an absolute sniper last night.
and i'm so glad this phoenix team is finally just about done being relevant. not that i have anything against them, but i just hate the fact that espn, and all the major outlets try and pound it into our heads that that is the way basketball is supposed to be played.
espn is all about points, and stats. if it's a 10-6 football game, it's boring, if it's a 88-86 basketball game, it's boring. never mind defensive plays right?
run and gun, 7 seconds or less. that philosophy is garbage and won't win in the nba. and dantoni won't do any better with it in new york. it's crap basketball at its best.
i think tonight might be a tough game. sacto is worse than the clips, but we're on the second leg of a back to back, and we are banged up. i'm imagining delonte will probably sit this one out. which doesn't worry me, because we should win regardless. but i just have a feeling we're gonna be in for a dogfight.
at least we get to embarass the bricks on sunday though. again.

That block was amazing... If you didn't see it, LeBron took a fall away jumper from the corner as the shot clock expired, the Suns got the rebound and started the break immediately. LeBron covered the entire length of the floor and passed the other 8 guys who were all standing around, to get the block.. I did like the post game when he was asked about it and he said he got all ball..  Instant replay showed that wasn't really the case, it was more like 20% ball and 80% hand and wrist.. but if I'm the official, I probably don't make the call either... fantastic hustle play.

richardson was definitely fouled.
he claimed he was "hammered" which i'm not going that far. lebron definitely got wrist, but you know what? he should have just dunked it instead of trying to showboat.

i seriously blame the nba taking action agains the msg triple double because all of kobe's idiot followers, media included, had to say something about lebron's triple double, because lebron topped kobe's record breaking performance at msg (as if that matters. the knicks are irrelevant, which means so is msg)

4, unfortunately One against Boston, one against the Clippers and 2 last night (one was a putback off a rebound).
I was laughing at Kendrick Perkins after he missed a dunk at the beginning of last Friday's game, but then Lebron does the same thing. It's definitely unusual to miss so many...

looking pretty bad so far this game.. i think MB waited to long to take that first TO. sasha needs to put it in the cup..he's not finishing like he normally does...prolly a little rust. If there was one thing about Z's game that annoys the hell out of me is his inability to pass out of the double team...he's like a black hole.once it goes in there it rarely comes out. if we pull this out and come back home winning all on this trip..that would be incredible

Still early, but the Kings have really come out blazing... Look for Mo to try and take over at the beginning of the 2nd..
Main thing with a game like this is to just not let it get away... It's the NBA, we will make a run...

god our bench has been crappy as of late. kings playing out of our mind and you can tell we are tired..aren't rotating or moving on defense...brown needs to go a little deeper on bench and sit gibson sorry butt and let tk play a bit. Looks like lebron is gonna have to do it by himself again.. really surprised mo hasn't tried to look for his shot yet
