I can't say if he'll improve or not ( I have my doubts) but I do feel confident saying that he has 1 year to do it. If he turns in the same year he had this year next year he's gone and we probably wont get anything to show for it. One more year, that's it.

From a friend of mine who knows people in the organization.
So you just pulled it out of your ass then.......cool.
I've noticed a lot lately that you say "I've read" or you will say "I've heard" and now you have a friend who knows people in the organization.....
Do us a favor and don't make things up.....there's no need for it. Thanks....

I don't know DeepThreat. And actually, (I'm guessing) neither do you. So why is he lying when he says he knows people and the other 10 guys on here that say stuff like that are not lying?
All I know is that I read each "I know someone" post on here with a healthy dose of skepticism. But I don't call each one of them a liar even though I cannot prove or disprove if they are telling the truth.
I'm beginning to think everyone on here needs a Florida vacation because every thread turns into a pissing contest over the smallest things.

Not trying to make a pissing contest, just observing that more and more often people are saying "I have heard" or they say "I have read" or some variation and it seems it is only done to attempt to get people to heed one's opinion more than another's based on their "inside information" which most times methinks is a boatload of cow dung. CoachB is (was notorious for this) and now it seems his son has magically appeared to carry on dear ol' dad's torch. That seems quite odd as well.....VersatileDawg was keen on giving the "inside scoop" but could not handle the simplest of posting rules. Quote:

Not calling anyone a liar.....(pulling it out of one's ass is same but not the same, we'll call it similar)
To me it's no different than rumors.....and "normal" folks like you and I can't pass on rumors but these people that have a friend that knows someone inside the organization can??

True. And I'm quite flattered you called me normal.........
Anyway, that's why I always thought that a "Rumor" forum would be useful. If all these guys were forced to put anything of this nature in that forum perhaps there would be less "Well, Uncle Charlie's next door neighbor knows a guy....." stuff floating around out here. If it had to be clearly labeled as a rumor maybe guys wouldn't feel quite so macho about letting us all in on the "secret".
Just a thought.

This one caught my eye.......Guess I'm not the only one who went "Hmmmmm....." when the little "b" showed up. Let's just say my opinion in this whole matter hasn't changed since the day big "b" started posting.
I actually liked to read Vers's stuff. He just has anger management issues.....

I enjoyed and learned from Vers. I think he has an authority figure complex moreso than anger mngt.issues.I admired that in him.
Indecision may,or maynot,be my problem

What you just posted is EXACTLY what I stated would happen when I asked the Referee's why B was allowed to post rumors and no one else was, now like I said was gonna happen posters now have "friends" within the organization, when I doubt anyone does to begin with.
This board is going downhill fast, seems to be alot of nonsense going on, and the quality of posts are getting lost in the drama, and I believe this "I know someone" stuff is addng fuel to the fire, as other issues.
I wish the Ref's would re-think their decision on rumors from posters.

How have I come on here to magically carry the torch? Dad asked me to post on here because someone requested that he had some one do so if he were too ill to and update what was said (it was Dawgpound17 if I remember correctly). I then started reading some posts in the pure football forum and commented on a few of them. I haven't passed any rumors or infomation from the team at all. I have offered my opininos just as everyone else. Even if I wanted to, I don't have any news out of Berea because Dad hasn't talked to anyone since being in the hospital. I have mentioned things Dad and I have talked about, but haven't mentioned anything that was supposed to be rumor or from the team. I thought I was pretty clear on that....unless you count the one post where I said Joe didn't want to go through camp to be cut, but that was only referring to impactplaya's post saying he talked to Joe and that's what he told him.
As for what Dad posts, I'll leave that for him to address since I haven't read his posts. All I'll say about that is when he tells me what he's been told, it turns out to be true. I guess I don't consider something a rumor if it turns out to be accurate, just a scoop so to speak. As I said, though, I don't know what he has posted and am only going by what he's told me. I'm glad to get the information he shares with me because I love the Browns and want to learn all I can about them.

Don't worry about it. Some people on this board have major chips on their shoulder and are exempt from rule following.

I think Fletch is right, I am not denying anyone may have a inside scoop. The point is how are we going to determine who telling the truth and who is BSing? I mean I guess the person who is BSing will slip up eventually and be exposed for the fraud they are but that could take months or even years to find out.
I just think if the person is not willing to state their source or at least confirm how they have a source then rumors should go the same route as unlinked web articles.

As soon as i saw Deep's post, i figured that "the friend who knows someone within the organisation" was probably none other than CoachB anyways. It's feasible that that info might have been exchanged in pm's to the little fella....but obviously thats an assumption on my part. As for the rules themselves, you guys are dead nuts on that there is a lot more of it lately. It's a dilemma for me as i like the inside info from those who are legitimately in the know....as opposed to some of the more blatant Quinn bashing from others supposedly with inside info.

I would like to believe he can. I think he has been in a scheme where he was underused as far as skills that got him drafted and what he was here for. Hasn't been coached to change much since arrival, and undercoached at that IMO. Has A move, which takes him beyond and behind play most times. More ambitious scheme that doesn't ask him to retreat and be a glorified nickel back will help a bunch for him or freeing somebody else. Been disgusted with the entire line and D play. If he can't get better, find his replacement.

You know this how? How does anyone know what Wimbley has been coached at? Maybe he just cant get it down. Maybe he is a retard, who knows? I certainly dont.
I am hoping though that Mangini will try to utilize him a different way. I would like to see them turn him loose, let him pin his ears back and be coming upfield on every down. Let him get in the backfield and play the run on the way to the QB.

Thanks I appreciate your comments especiall since you were against my thoughts initially in Fan Feedback, but I guess after seeing what I figured would happen, and now it is happening more often I think more people are seeing what I was stating, and understand the problem it is causing. I think all this poster insider info stuff should stop.

I think it should too. I could see where it could bring something to the board if true, but since we have no idea if people are fibbing or not, and it appears that people are doing it only to bolster their opinion, it needs to be stopped.

I created a thread in Fan Feedback regarding this issue. No need to continue to ruin this Wimbley thread by discussing the user insider info here, so I figured I would put it in a more appropriate place.

Wimbley is soft. Andra Davis soft. He may have a slump buster year but he will never live up to the expectations we had for him after his rookie season.

Two seasons ago the Giants won the bowl and they had a long time pass rusher on the team, He played alot of years on the Giants and some of them were probably down years, but he was a Giant, and I don't remember, well how would I know I don't read Giants boards, anyone trying to run him out of town. So I think two things about Wimbley 1 I kind of want to beleive the STYLE of defense the last two years led to a wait and then pass rush after the after snap reads, and this would lead to less sacks. 2 I don't know if any Browns player can get a chance like Strahan did to stick around and have a developing career. I don't know enough about Strahans career to know if he Never had a bad year, but I think I remember a couple years the Giants went less than 500 with him on the roster. 7th TIME REBUILDING SINCE 99 ... Look out Ric Flair, they're gaining on you.... WHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

U see jules .. heres the thing .. at least for me ...
I would rather have 9 people allowed to post they have inside sources that are lying get away with it ..... then have the 10th poster that actually does have inside info not be allowed to post it ...
contrary to popular belief I first and foremost come here to get Browns info ...
i can also decide for myslef what is and isn't true ... will I get snookered sometimes .. YUP ... but OVER TIME those with inside sources will BE PROVEN CORRECT as opposed to those that just make crap up ... .
but if u do not allow anyone to post stuff ... your taking GOOD INFO off the board and allowing the posers to do it ...
Vers had good inside info .. he was legite ... there are a few others on here now that have good inside info as far as I'm concerned ... and i sure would hate to discourage them or ANY NEW POTENTIAL POSTERS with legite inside info from posting it here .. thats just my 2 cents ..
I think your letting the inmates run the asylum if u disallow "inside info" .... but thats just me ...
