I can't wait to order SI after we win the championship. I've been waiting my whole life to hear..."Hey Cleveland fans, your team just won the championship..." I want the book, the DVD, the whole nine....they can keep the magazine though.

the guy is just one injury after another... he was looking pretty good in the little time he has seen since his last injury.
we've proven we can win without him...
we can finish out these 2, and we can definitely survive through round 1, and probably round 2, but after that, we are going to need him.

honestly, him coming back just made us deeper. Andy has filled in better than I ever thought he could. But as we play teams with strong frontcourts, he'll definitely come in handy.

Yep, he looked real good in his return, especially the game in Philly last Friday...
I don't care how good we are, having players go through "ramp up time" in the playoffs just doesn't work well... Ben is definitely an important piece to our puzzle, and we do need him back for ROUND 2 in my opinion.. I would like to get him back for round 2, thus avoiding the "ramp up time" in the ECF... The good news is that in his new role off the bench, we don't rely on him nearly as much as say, last year at this time...
Hopefully the medical staff can really make this one as seamless as possible

Andy is playing out of his mind in the first half. The more I see him play, the more I hope we can keep him around. Maybe we can get a hometown discount from him if we win the ring this year.

perfect fit. he really is.
he would be miserable without lebron.
there are very few teams he could flourish with, maybe with cp3 in new orleans. maybe in san antonio who would never pony up the cash...
he's a guy that needs an elite distributor like we have with lebron.
otherwise he's just a great bench guy. with lebron he's starting material.
13 point lead at the half.
i tried telling you guys it was a lock.
hope you took it to your bookie like i told ya!

p.s. i really think we need to take this rick astley thing and run with it.
a lot of championship teams have theme songs as they go through their run.
the bears had the shuffle. the white sox had journey.
we should rick roll it all the way to the larry o'brien.

Congratulations to the coaching staff and players on an excellent regular season, it's been a memorable season. Although complete satisfaction still remains 16 wins away.
I could care less about Wednesday, I risk nothing if I'm the coach. It would be one thing if we're going 41-0 but to mearly tie a record? No thanks, it's just not worth the risk in my opinion.

With the way the Sixers have been playing recently, MB might not have to risk much of anything.

the write-up on the game tonight says mike brown will sit lebron and other key starters.
my guess is, lebron, mo, and z.
mo because he's played in each and every game this year up to this point, hasn't missed a start. and z just because he's z.
i think delonte plays some, and joe smith will probably see some time...
starting lineup, anyone wanna take bets?
i've got d west running point, boobie at the 2, wally at the 3, with joe smith at the 4 and andy at the 5.
as much as i wanna see those guys tie boston's record, i totally understand. and lebron and mo deserve it, they both have been there every single start. and you know lebron is banged up. he definitely deserves it.

Lets hope we don't end up pulling a Colts. However, I'm interested to see what they can accomplish without Lebron on Wednesday.

Celtics' Ray Allen suspended
Posted Apr 14 2009 4:09PM
NEW YORK -- Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics has been suspended one game without pay for elbowing Cleveland Cavaliers forward Anderson Varejao in the groin, it was announced today by Stu Jackson, NBA Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.
The incident occurred with 5:05 remaining in the third quarter of the Celtics 107-76 loss to the Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena on Sunday, April 12.
Allen will serve his suspension tonight when the Celtics visit the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pa.

He should have to serve his suspension in the first game of the Cavs/Celtics series if it comes to that. Missing this game is little more than a night of rest for him.

It opens up the door for quick suspensions in a playoff series if/when it starts to get fiesty.

i don't think so. the players know.
you can commit hard fouls, and get away with it, but if you throw a shot to a guy's crotch, you're getting a game, ask jason terry.
and they know that. and they know about coming off the bench.
every coaching staff has a guy who is in charge of keeping guys on the bench in that area. phoenix fans still whine about 2007 when they lost amare and diaw for coming off the bench...
but again, this stuff is known, it's no surprise.
and his cheap shot on varejao and the cavs hamming it up on the bench will be forgotten when and if these 2 meet up in may.
trust me, that will seem like forever ago.
each series always seems like an eternity, and you always hate the other team, their fans, and their coaches at the end of the series, in most cases.
and we'll have 2 eternities if we do meet up with them in the eastern conference finals.

Good point, maybe I should have said T's, not suspensions. Either way, the NBA could have seen this as an opportunity to fire a warning shot towards both teams when it really doesn't mean anything, in order to send a bit of a message for a playoff series. ... or maybe not

for as much as they don't like each other, that was a very clean series last year...
i lost some respect for ray allen, for what he did, and what he said on sunday, but those guys know when to pull stuff like that, and when not too, and you just don't do that type of stuff in the playoffs.
that's why teams like that win championships, and that's why teams like the wizards will never come close.

Does Philly have anything to play for tonight? Or is it going to be scrubs on scrubs?

6th - Chicago is 41-40 7th - Philly is 40-39 8th - Detroit is 39-41
All 3 play tonight. I have no idea how the tie-breakers play out but it looks like Philly could finish 6th, 7th, or 8th depending on what those teams do tonight so I would expect them to play.

Boo! I wanna see us take it strong to the end. Get to 40-1 in a big home court blowout finale and head into the post-season with a BANG. It's only Wednesday and we don't play until Saturday at the earliest.... and if they do their thing right, LBJ and Co. will rest the 4th anyway.
Play em as if it were any other game, just like we did with every single game all season long.
Browns is the Browns

That is correct. Both teams would have the same record and head to head but Philly would have the better conf record. Not gonna be easy winning without 4 of our main guys but I think the home crowd will help us get the W tonight

I want to tie Boston's record as well....Having those 4 guys sit will make it tougher for us to win , but I think we can still win and this scenario will give us chance to see how our Bench performs with extended playing time....

For those of you questioning this decision, please think for a minute..
It would be a disaster if something bad happened to one of our studs in a MEANINGLESS game....
