Anyone catch the 4 minute video of actual gameplay of Modern Warfare 2? I'm not able to dig it up right now, as I'm at work and streaming sites are blocked, but the game looks sick.
yeah, wow.
it's unfair that they teased this when it's 5 freaking months away.

You guys are gonna laugh at me for being out of touch, but I used to play PGA Tour Golf II, which was released in 1992. My Genesis game console is busted though, has been for years. Anyway, recently a buddy of mine downloaded it somehow (already had it, so I don't consider it stealing haha) and I've been playing it a fair bit on my computer.

PGA Tour Golf II was good.....but PGA III (white cover) was better. Far and away ahead of its time. And boy, did PGA Tour '96 blow chunks!
I had bought a Genesis 7 years ago to play NHL '95 (best version), PGA Tour III and some Street Fighter 2 Turbo. I was able to find all of them but the PGA Tour III game wouldn't save anything. I suppose I could have maybe replaced the battery but I was afraid I'd break the thing (and since I bought it for $20....I didn't take the chance, so I returned it to find another - never found one again).
As far as Skate and Skate 2 go, GET THEM. I played through Skate on my PS3 just last month ($12 on eBay). I figured it would be smarter to go #1 first. Best Skateboarding game ever (maybe even best extreme sports game). I just got Skate 2 a few days ago off eBay for $31 brand new. It's way better than Skate. I haven't started a career yet, no time recently. Check out some vid's on YouTube...it's awesome!

I played a 60-minute game of NFL Football '94 starring Joe Montana once.
Eric Metcalf had over 2000 all-purpose yards.

ign, which is a very solid site that reviews games, gives ghostbusters 8/10.
which basically says this is a good game.
i had my doubts, but im gonna pick it up tuesday...
i've renewed my love for video games lately. probably has something to do with the fact that i haven't been able to take the ice in over 2 weeks.
fallout 3 just keeps getting better and better. i think i may go back into oblivion when i'm done just to get my fix of that type of game.
i saw some footage of uncharted 2 and it looks unbelieavable...

Thats how I have been for about the past 8 months. i barely played for a few years. I would still get the games, but then rarely touch them.
I bought a Wii and it sat in the corner for months, then I decided to sell my 360. At the last second I decided to trade it in for the PS3 just so I could have a Blue Ray player and the option to play a few vids if I ever got the urge. Good decision because I have gotten back into gaming in a big way.
Alot of games Id love to get too but know I just don't have the time.

Since I just bought my PS3, I'm in the process of getting through the older highly-rated games. They are also a lot cheaper right now.
Next purchase will be GTA 4 (averaging $25 on eBay).
Current games: - Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds - Skate 2 - MLB 09 The Show
Games I want: - Street Fighter IV - NCAA Football 2010 - inFamous? (haven't played the demo yet) - Metal Gear Solid - Wolverine (played the demo and it was quite good) - Backbreaker (which might give Madden a run for its money)

FYI, EBGames.com is having a huge blowout on all their Guitar Hero and Rock Band games (bundles too). http://www.ebgames.com/gs/landing/umbs/ I got RB2 for the PS3 for $89 (Amazon has it for $181). And RB1 is $59. And shipping is free too!

We used to sit up for hours on the weekends gambling over that damned game! We also played the European Tour as well as the PGA Tour 1. Eventually, you can learn to shoot a 20-under round on that game. Making puts was just about math: For every block you move the cursor over twice.
Once a year my bud and I break it out at his house after his wife and kids have gone to sleep and reminiscence.
Between golf, school, and work, there just isn't time for all these kickass games anymore.

I used to golf a lot, but only went out 3 times last year, and none at all this year.
Haven't even really gotten the itch. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, but end up finding either more important stuff to do, or don't want to spend the money on it. Golf isn't a cheap hobby.

I have the feeling you'll start getting the itch again if you watch the U.S Open in the upcoming days. I'd say I'm about as equal as you. I usually go a couple times a year just to have fun and what not, heck I don't even keep score.
In relativity to the forum, the last golf game I played was Tiger Woods pga tour 05 a couple years ago. I still remember having such a hard time beating Jim Furyk in world mode. I'm still a little hesitant on whether or not to rent any of the new Woods' games because someone people I've talked to said they weren't too good.

it's not that they aren't good, it's just that they aren't much different...
10,'09, '08 are all pretty much the same game with a few minor differences...

I honestly don't like to watch golf. I may put it on a few, but that's about it. Too dull, as is a lot of things on TV. I have a hard time finding things to keep my attention.

ghostbusters gets a 7/10 from me.
-decent storyline, a lot of recycled stuff from the 2 movies.
-visuals are excellent.
-gameplay is good, all the gadgets and the proton pack is cooll
-the ai is incredibly stupid, you are a rookie playing with the other 4 ghostbusters, and they can really drive you crazy
-this is an old-school type game with levels, instead of the common these days sandbox type gameplay.
i know we have kinda come expected to think games based on movies are just going to flat out suck, but considering they brought on all the old voices, who also had a say in the production of the actual movies, and considering they pushed the release date back, i figured this would have been one of those games that reaches legendary status
it doesn't, it's not a bad game by any means, but to today's standards, it's not great.
i wouldn't pay 60 for this game, maybe 30...
