I don't have a lot to contribute to this thread as far as the "fancy" beers go, they're just not my thing. I don't like the taste of any of them. I guess I'm just used to the 'ol pisswater. Right now, I'm drinking a six of Busch Light tall boys, and when I go out it's Coors Light. I don't wanna drink Busch in the bars or clubs, people will think I live in a trailer and have a city scrap bumper sticker on my rusty old pickup truck that has 150 wood pallets strapped to it. Know what I mean.

Not a beer con-a-sewer. I usually buy the cheap stuff cuz I'm buzz-oriented. But I do like:
1. Guinness, which is my favourite. 2. Heinekin, not in the bottle but the can. 3. An eastern Canadian beer called Alpine. 4. Sleeman's ale

I like Dortmunder Gold first, then a wheat beer....Choctaw second...if I can't get one of those... PBR works for me.

A few people mentioned they like whaet beers on here...as do I. Was wondering if anyone has ever tasted the pumpkin wheat ale (a fall seasonal) from the Morgan Street Brewery in St. Louis's Landing area? Quite possibly the best beer I've ever had. Had it a few years ago when the Browns played down there.
It's been about a year, but I also remember picking up a great microbrew from Heinens - Banana Bread beer, I think made by Wells...
If any are from the greater Cleveland area, Rocky River Brewing Company makes a great blueberry ale.

This is another reason I don't drink the other types of beer. I haven't drank enough to puke in years, but imagine with the pounding headache, you are throwing up banana bread tasting beer and blueberry tasting beer.
I quiver at the thoughts. (Anybody have a throw up gremlin)?

Thread after my own heart... I was blessed enough to be stationed in Germany for 3.5 yrs so I messed around with the German beers for the first 2 and then I made the drive to Belgium and Holland... Shipped 8 racks of the hooch with my household goods and the beautiful thing is these Belgium beers will keep 5-10 yrs because of their alcohol content... WOW! My favs are... Rochefort Trappestes #6 ( best flavor of the Rochefort beers but least amount of kick, you can taste so many different ingredients and has to be in a goblet style glass_ Rochefort Trappestes #8 (when I want my flavor but a kick in the ass with the alcohol content) Chimay grand reserve My favorite German beer would be Erdinger The Weissen beers just do it for me and had one yesterday at Fat Daddy's in raleigh!! Brown Bottle Heineken and also the Non-Export Amstel beers come in next... Carlton beer in Australia is amazing And to follow it up I like the Tiger beer from Thailand... Sorry for the rant but if you guys haven't tried any of these and see them at a store or restraunt someday give them a go! As for Domestic beer I honestly don't buy any of it... I got too spoiled with a semblance of flavor over the years so I suck up the extra few bucks and grab the Heinekens at the local store..

I got the Wells Banana Bread beer at the Winking Lizard once when they had it on tap as their glass of the month or whatever they call it, where you get to keep the glass. It was pretty good, as I remember.

Mu current fave is Great Lakes Grassroots Ale. We get it shipped to Jersey via Rozi's in Lakewood. There is a great brewery in these parts called Dogfish Head, and they make a fantastic beer called Midas Touch. It's part wine, part beer. My husband likes to go get all the specialty beers (he likes the oak barrel smoked ones from Germany, I think they smell like old BBQ!) but nothing tops anything from Great Lakes.

Heard of Dogfish Head, but never tried their stuff. There's a place about 20 minutes from here that sells beer by the bottle. You can basically pick any bottle of beer you want, and they had several by them. Almost picked some up, but ended up trying some other stuff.
I think someone mentioned it earlier, maybe Beerdowner, but Leinenkuegel makes some good summer beers. Summer Shandy is great, and also their Sunset Wheat is a solid beer. Speaking of which, next time out to Giant Eagle, I need to pick me up some Summer Shandy.
Right now, I have Yeungling, Dos Equis and Bud Light in my fridge.
One beer that me and my wife really love but it's not imported anywhere near here is El Presidente from the Dominican Republic. Had it on our honeymoon down there. It's like Budweiser in the Dominican Republic. Very popular, and it's a great, refreshing beer served ice cold.

Not horrendous...but certainly not up to par with what you expect from a Great Lakes seasonal. I know of 3 bars in particular that love when people order it so they can get through it and move on to another brew, as it has been a bust, even with the new name and all.
Approximately 4.5 months until Christmas Ale is unleashed again

I run a lawncare business, and it's hard to beat a Summer Shandy after working all day. It's like A/C and a massage in a bottle. Michelob is offering some pretty tasty beer these days. Their Pale Ale I believe has accomplished what no other beer has, favorite. I've never really settled into keeping one beer in the fridge all the time. I rotate different varieties in on a regular basis. For the last 3 months though, Pale Ale has not been absent for longer than a week. Shock Top from Michelob is pretty good also, it's a Belgian White style that I've enjoyed a couple of 6 packs of.
Go Irish!

I am only 22, but right now I'd easily say my favorite is either Gunniess(takes some getting used to) or Bell's special double cream stout.
If anyone has not tried Bell's before, you need to. I've found pretty much everything they make is amazing and 10 times better than that Budweiser crap.
Find what you love and let it kill you.

from Belgium called Delirium Tremen's anyone ever had this?
Tried it at the "Creek House" in Pittsburgh, $25 a bottle. It was allright, but I've tasted better.
I drink Original Coors, but love imports such as Grolsh, Holland Brand, and just about all Canadian beers.
