Eh. Not getting it this year making it the 3rd year in a row. They just seem stuck in the past and there have been no real innovations to justify dropping $60 on it. Madden on the other hand, I will be buying, for the first time since 08 since it is reworked and finally looks like a nextgen console.

The Teambuilder site is great, im working on an All-Time team for my high school during the years I was there.

Its awesome how you can do it via your PC instead of having to do it through the game with a controller, makes it much much quicker.

I'm going to wait to hear from all you and the official review sites. I'm afraid it's NCAA 2009 + a few bells and whistles. And I want to see what Madden 2010 has to offer too. Madden tends to be a step ahead each year.

I played the NCAA 2010 demo on my PS3. It was good.....the defense seemed to be impossible to play. Maybe that was just me.

I didn't buy 2009.....2008, 2007, and even 2006. So it's not a decision based on already owning the previous years version. I haven't been pleased with an EA football game since NCAA 2004.

Keep posting your thoughts.

I couldnt agree more, EA football games have always been sub par to ESPN 2K series. I was so bummed with EA brought the licensing rights and ESPN could no longer make 2K football games.

madden 2006 was better than any 2k game.

2k gets wayyyy to much credit.

the problem with these sports games is the few new features outside of the updated rosters...

which is fine, because a lot of these games are tremendous and don't need to be completely revamped, but to charge 60 bucks is outrageous.

tiger woods from 2008-to the new 10, is pretty much the same game, they added some courses, better graphics, but it's essentially the same game.

madden has consistently gotten better each year since the 360 hit the market, i think this year they finally make a great game. 2006 was the last version that was good, and it was incredible.

i'm one of the few that loved the passing cone. i think it added to the game. because a lot of how the linebackers and secondary play is based on how the qb turns his head... and it fit right in to the gameplay.

I agree, I think the passing cone was one of the better things the did.

The past couple years the NCAA games have been much better than Madden. I feel like I've wasted money on Madden every time I've had it for the Next Gen systems.

I will be buying NCAA 2010 on Tuesday.

I played the Demo. I liked it.

I never get NCAA games though (instead I get the yearly Madden)...I may have to get this one when it comes down in price.

I played the demo but I really don't see much differance between last years game. I'm only buying NCAA and Madden from now when I see significant changes from now.

i do agree with that. i think ncaa offers a little more. and the gameplay is more realistic to the college game than madden is to the nfl game.

campus legend mode is awesome too.

Anyone know the username to look up on PS3 to download the named rosters? I got them last year but can't seem to remember where to get them.

I don't think they are out yet, honestly Im not sure who is doing them either this year.

DT is out of the game, and I know Pastapadre said he wasnt doing them. I would check over at OperationSports. If you find out, let me know, Ill do the same.

I got the new NCAA, and even though last year's game was good, this one is better. Graphics and gameplay are both better.

Here are the updated rosters:

PS3 - eascncaa10

These are not to be confused with the "named" rosters. This is a patch for the rosters that are on the game, as I guess the game was shipped with bad rosters (wrong numbers, seniors left on the game, freshman left off etc...)

So the actual named rosters will probably be awhile as they couldnt start editing them until that patch was released last night.

Yes, I still play NFL2K5 compared to playing Madden 09 on my Ps3. I do have updated rosters complete with all the drafted rookies and all, but I'll take the wait and see approach on Madden 10 this year. After so many let downs in the previous enteries of the series it's hard not to feel that way.

But then again, Madden did get a new lead designer this year who listens to the fans, so we'll see what happens.

played some last night. some visual updates with a few new animations (still below madden, imo) and they updated some stuff like the campus legend is now "road to glory" but it's still the same thing. the main features this year is supposed to be that build-a-team and season showdown (which i haven't tried yet). it's not much different from 09 aside from some refining.

i can't wait for madden 10

I really like the "Player Lock" addition, especially on defense.

This years version of NCAA is a lot different than last years. - The camera angles are different, the gameplay is smoother, and it is much harder to run an erratic offense this year compared to last year.

- The defensive line and lb's get to the quarterback much quicker this year. No more having to deal with Tim Tebow rolling out and throwing the ball across his body 40 yards downfield to an always uncovered reciever.

- This years version forces you to use the various offensive line commands (slide left, pinch slide right, aggressive) that are available. - If you don't, your quarterback is a sitting duck.

I'm pleased with 2010.

it's not that i'm unpleased with ncaa 10 but everything you say there, they sound more like tweaks than anything new or innovative.

the reason i bring this up is there is always that group that maintains that madden never gets any better, because they have an exclusive license and 09 is just 08 with updated roster, is the same group that says ncaa is always better.

i like both series but, imo, ncaa always seems a year behind madden. more likely because the development dollars are heavily in the madden franchise's favor.

I couldn't disagree more...Madden is the game that gets waaaaayyyyy too much credit. It's has been an average football game at best for YEARS!

2K was ahead of the curve, which is why EA flexed it's checkbook and eliminated any competition, because their marketshare was swinging to 2K

i've said it many times before, madden seems to struggle early on with the next gen consoles...

you can look back when xbox first came out and the game wasn't quite there, when madden 2006 came out, the game was near flawless.

same goes for 360, 2006 was a joke, 2007 not much better, 2008 seemed to creep into respectable, last year's wasn't horrible, i really really think 2010 well make a jump.

and i think ea took out 2k with the licensing because 2k was willing to drop to 20 bucks a game. whereas ea wants to charge their loyal customers 60 bones for a new game.

tweaks and adjustments are really all you need with sports games, once you have your base game, the next year should only be small improvements, never a complete overhaul...

it's the price that makes me mad. but you know what? people keep going out and buying it, the eve of madden is a big thing, and that has to change if they are ever gonna change pricing.

I was checking out the PSN store for NCAA 10 and saw about $30 worth of add-ons that seemed be included for free in previous versions. Has anyone else noticed this? Am I correct in thinking that they just shipped a $60 game and will now force you to buy all the recruiting stuff and toughest place to play stuff for $1.00 to $1.50 more now?

If that's the case, I'm going to retire from NCAA football for good.

You have to pay for them if you want to cheat, or you can just play the game and unlock them yourself for free.

V.1.0 Rosters are available. Just go to the EALocker and type in the username

buckeye02

they are all named but still some errors, they are working on V2 right now, should be available tonight or tomorrow.

Im going to set up an online Dynasty (PS3), is anyone interested on here?

Only guys who play legit though, like sim style, no going for it on 4th down everytime, no running the same play over and over and over, basically no cheesers.

If your interested let me know, maybe we can do an all big ten, or all mac style, im down for anything though.

I should note that im a 9-5 guy, so its not going to be a Dynasty we advance every day, im thinking maybe say you have the week to play ur game then we advance?

FYI...Im not awesome at the game like back in the day when I had all the time in the world to play, so this is really just for fun, nothing real intense and competitive...

yeah, we did a bball league for 2k a few years back and some a-hole was going for the steal on every inbound, just pounding the steal button all the way up the court. i think i stopped playing after that. haha

i know what you mean though with football. people always going for it on 4th and 25, or lining up a block kick/punt when they are on defense to annihiliate the qb.

that's extremely lame, how can people get a kick out of that?

i used to play madden and ncaa online, but people do that, and then quitting when it doesn't work.

I remember that, the 2K online set up was all messed up to, wasnt keeping track of wins and stuff, that sucked.

Yeah, when I play I dont really care if I lose, if its legit, obviously I want to win, but I have more fun playing and playing against someone who like to play like real life.

You on PS3 now LeBron?
