As for recruiting, no way could I let the computer simulate it for me. The other one I joined last night had may 10 2 star players, and 5 one star players on the recruiting board. Can't win in the future with that!
Exactly, I want 5, 4, and maybe some 3-star recruits only. If you let the computer do it, you get stuck with junk! And also, you can recruit the type of RB, WR and QB you like. I like playing with speed. I'll glady take a 3-star RB with a 94 speed over a 5-star balanced RB with 87 speed. I use my FB in most short yardage situation anyway.

Thats not true, ive always set my top 35 and let the computer recruit the rest of the season and have always got top classes, thats always with Michigan though, so the recruits come no matter what.

It's true, Texas would probably bring a similiar result, probably not so much with Texas A&M and Baylor, or even Oklahoma St. The higher prestige the school has the better recruits you are going to get. Recruiting in this game really just a waste of time unfortunately...they need to overhaul it, or bring the number of recruits you recruit during the year down.

The last NCAA game I played was 2004 (yes, that long ago). Recruiting was done in the offseason only. I would spend 2-3 hours between seasons getting my new players. I enjoyed every minute of it. I ended up playing 25+ seasons (Toledo, Wyoming, UCLA, Michigan State, & then Middle Tennesse State). Dang, that was a fun game.
This is my first time with the in-season recruiting and it seems to be fun so far.

Let's get the next week started. I think dude isn't setting ready cause he thinks he doesn't have to do anything. Have a couple of hours tonight I could get this week done.

no they don't....it's realistic...
A 5 star recruit isn't going to eastern michigan...he would go to MEEchigan. Thats the way the game is...and thats the way it should be.

I hate the in season recruiting, its tedious. You recruit too many guys. A few years ago it was only 15. That was much better. You spend more time recruiting than playing the game.

Just something to keep in mind, when divisional play begins we'll be playing games against each other a lot. That might slow down the weeks a lot more than normal. Hopefully we can all be patient and stick together.
It's going to be a great day when I'm crowned the Big 12 and BCS National Champs. Eat it dawgs!
Look out Utah State.......you're up next!

Yeah, I think Frenchy can only play late nights, so if I have to play him it will have to wait until the weekend sometime, that could be tough to schedule.

I don't like quoting myself....but I may soon regret this comment. I had some time last night so I figured I run my team against my next opponent in exhibition, to prepare. Man, even though they were D-rated, I was on my heels. They passed EVERY down. I was down 0-3 in the 3rd quarter when I finally found an offensive gameplan that would work. I ran up the gut and then killed them. Final score was 28-9 (I let them score a late TD in the 4th). My RB had 178 yards, 155 in the 2nd half.
For most of the 1st half, I was quite nervous. Well, hopefully the same gameplan works during the real game.
I played Michigan after that game feeling all confident......I was down 21-nothing in the middle of the 2nd quarter and then I quit. All TD's were scored on turnovers (two INT returns and a fumble return on the kickoff). Weak.
So, can we force the advancement to week 3? The Baylor team is the only one we're waiting on and he's on bye this week.

No need to feel bad. I'm in no hurry. I wasn't aware I needed to set anything to "ready to advance" in my bye week either.
In fact, I think I want to gameplan for Utah State more. Jeez....I bet that's the first time that's been said.
Anybody else have a mobile QB on their team? I'm big on the option and rolling out on every passing play.....but it seems like the computer figures that out and starts calling the CB blitz or QB protect plays. By the 3rd quarter, it's almost impossible to get the QB outside. Maybe my PS3 has the Skynet processor.....it's becoming self aware.

can you post on here when you set it to advance?
I check Dawgtalkers from my BB and if i see that Ill log on, much easier than me logging on my PS3 and booting up the Dynasty to check every hour.
Thanks...

I agree that does sound very cheesetastic, but you dropped 100 pts in a game and were still passing the ball, thats pretty cheesy as well.

I finished week 1 on Saturday. I have a bye during week two. - I just tried to play week 3 and it says that the week hasn't been advanced yet. - I tried going to my week two bye, but I can't do anything.

i wasn't throwing bombs dude...after running it 20 times i passed it on 3rd and long. and i got like -200 sportmenship points...it's retarded...the computer expects you to run the ball no matter what the situation is. if i wanna throw on 3rd and long to keep the clock on my side why souldn't i? even if i'm up by 40? it's not like i could kick a FG.

Nah, it's not cheesy. I'm just playing to the strengths of my team. I don't have a QB with a rocket arm or accurate aim, but he's fast. So that means I must use his speed. So if that means I run, option, and roll-out pass a lot...so be it (remember, I passed on the A-rated Oklahoma for the B-rated Texas A&M....that's not cheesy).
It's no different than if you have a pocket QB that forces you to run and pass from the pocket. I'm doing the same percentages, but in a different scheme.
I don't abandon the run and use my QB every down, I still split the load....but I do rely on my QB legs more than his arm. If you had my team, you'd do the same. If you used him like Peyton Manning, you'd find yourself losing a lot (since he stinks as a pocket QB).
I was just commenting on how the CPU figures out my release valve so quickly.

Why is it even called cheesing? That just sounds so dumb. Back in the day we use to call it playing fake. Is it supposed to mean that while you are playing fake you are smiling the whole time from ear to ear? Really I have no clue.

I took down Utah State with ease. My RB and QB both had near 100 rushing yards....and I passed for 180. I had two interceptions that were my fault completely (both were forced in the redzone).
Outside of UAB, the rest of my schedule is crazy hard.

Atleast UCONN is a respectable team. I almost lost to DUKE. It was close. My offense is good and defense is equally bad. Its usually the other way around for me.

Did anyone notice if everyone was set to advance? It looks like everyone has posted here that they played except BrownBuck, anyone look last night to see if he played? If he did I might have time to advance it at lunch today.

without turning my game on, I'm pretty sure I was the last team to play last night. Hopefully I can play tonight. I'm getting the lasix eye surgery done in about 2 hours. Hell who am I kidding, I just want to not be blind.
