Game comes out in about 12 1/2 hours now.

I'm gonna look online. I think there is a site that can keep track of stats and everything. I will look into it, and when I come up with something, I will post a new thread with details, and team sign-ups.

Yeah, they have a website this year for online franchise, you can do your rosters, trades, free agency, all from your PC. They are going to have an iPhone app as well.

you dont have to do anything, they work as one in the same. You just have to be registered to the site (EASportsWorld) and it will show what leagues you are in and you can do all the transactions, roster moves etc.. from your pc.

PastaPadre has a review of the online franchise up, looks like a few things need to fixed for next year, but definitely a step in the right direction.

Not a fan of playing defense in this particular year.
The fact that DB's don't make miraculous plays like in years past makes playing D next to impossible.

Just so you guys know. I picked up the game this morning and I've only played 2 qtrs and this is by far the best madden ever. As a matter of fact it is by far the best football game ever. The player move the way the do in the pros and it truly feels like a real game. Love the fact that QBs will be off target and and the gang tackling. Great Game!!

Got the game after work today and so far I'm liking it fine, ecspecially the new slow feel of the game. My only gripe so far is the running game, maybe I'm not doing something right, but it seems like its impossible to have a good average yards per carry. Maybe I'll try not pressing the speed button as soon as I get the ball, who knows. And I'm one of those people that puts emphasis on running the ball every game, a lot. Just love playing with the browns again. Just getting the new Madden always gives you that special feeling football is right around the corner.

Why bother running the ball? Not trying to be a smartass, I have a point to this...
I think it's way too easy to pass. On one hand, it's great that DB's don't make those miraculous plays anymore, but I've gotten to the point that I don't care to run the ball because I have success just throwing and throwing and throwing.

Tasty- This is the most realistic football game ever made.
On running plays, you have to run the ball where it is designed to be ran. Not saying you can't bounce one outside, but you can't just take a dive play, take the handoff and bounce outside like you could in years past.
I love this game, because you have to actually use your blockers, and use good field vision with your RBs, and not just get a fast RB who will bounce it outside every play.

This game definately is the best football game for sure. I loved the old ESPN on Xbox and wanted Madden to duplicate some of that feel. This year, they exceeded that desire. This year, finally, EA did it right. This year's Madden is flat out amazing. From the TV show you get to watch every week in Franchise mode, to the graphics, to the play. Far and above better than any football game I've played. Very good this year, A+++, IMHO.

This game is on point..
Just got it last night....
MOMASS is my new FRIEND!! lol...
I was kind of bumming on the low speeds of the Browns.. but I can't really tell a difference of someone with a speed of 85.. to last years speed of 92...
Game is very realistic... I tried the hurry up and throw the ball away with Quinn to avoid a sack and it got tipped.. Tell me why the LB snagged it out of the air and ran it back to the house... That was very rare to happen in 09 and below....

I'm on PS3.
I do run every now and then (esp. when I see a front where running is the best option) but I'm getting the ball to receivers much easier than I did last year.

The great thing about madden is you can adjust sliders to make it make fit your skill. If you do a franchise just go through the preseason and adjust your settings so that when you enter the season it feels real to you.

Thanks for the review Charlie. I was hesitant about getting it because it seems there is never any difference. I also just played the demo. Very sweet.  Will be getting the game within the next couple weeks for the 360.

LOL, I'm not one dimensional...it's just that if I can throw all day and get 5-15 yards a pop, I'd rather throw than run and maybe get 2 yards.

It's worth it, IMHO.
Really sweet. On franchise mode before and after each week you get "The Extra Point" a TV show giving you the run down of that weeks games, the playoff race, and the next week's games. I think that's really sweet. Graphics are very good this year too. Sadly though, the main thing that is unchanged it seems is Cris Collinsworth's annoying play by play. Other than that though, very good.

I have not played Madden since the 05 pc version. I just bought 10 for the 360 and I am a bit lost . . . lol
I tried to play defense in practice, I have to be missing something because when I play as Shaun Rogers, I can't do swim moves, spins, bull rushes, or is that automatic? The only buttons I can use is switch player and swat ball?? I think . . .
Does anyone adjust sliders and to what? What level do you play on?
I could use a lot of practice . . . it's been a loooong time . . . .

Some thoughts...
Last year when playing online you could easily get away with rushing 3 and dropping 8 because everyone forces the ball downfield and DB's made sick adjustments. Not so anymore. Blitzing is actually effective this year (with the Browns, the 1-5-5 inside zone blitz is VERY effective against idiots who hold the ball).
I still think it's WAY too easy to pass...if you know how to get the ball out on time the passing game is simple.

I am 4-1...
And yes the blitz is a little more effective this year... I do a lot more blitzing than I did last year...
and to comment as someone else did.. that 1-5-5 formation actually is pretty sweet. The offense doesn't know who is coming... and BAMMM!!! I don't run it though against teams who have super fast WR's..
