I find this very interesting. It's definitely a good thing to get any kind draft pick for a guy who wasn't guaranteed to make the team. But at the same time, I don't know if it's a good thing to see guys getting kicked on their cans for arguing with Cox.
Are we just not putting up with any BS?
Or is Cox being the problem?

Speaking of Bryan Cox, I got a kick out of this: A mild altercation spiced things up today when backup DE Brian Schaeferling hit QB Richard Bartel, prompting OL Hank Fraley to rush in and push Schaeferling. Browns DL coach Bryan Cox then screamed at Schaeferling to not let himself be pushed around. www.CBSsportsline.com
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

Thats right!! We need to be an IN YOUR FACE type team that is NOT going to be pushed around...
Tired of being the "little brother" to other teams..

This is something worth thinking about, at least. More than two can become a trend... I like Cox's passion, but maybe he has trouble channeling it properly.

I could be off a bit but if Cox sees his players dogging it and corrects them and it continually leads to a problem, he probably doesn't want to deal with them...I don't even recall LL being on the field at any time..
And he shouldn't. We've seen enough players looking like they've quit during the last couple of years.

I'm not giving up on him. He's not expected to start. Getting a 2nd rounder for one of your depth players (even at QB!) is a good value.

He's started the entire preseason. What on earth makes you think he's not gonna start?

I feel like my opinion on what makes a player a bust is very accurate...
I don't care what players did anywhere else. I only care about what they did here. And when you spend a bunch of money on a free agent or draft pick, and it doesn't work out... For whatever reason... That's a bust.
Sure, guys like Andruzzi, Bentley, and Garcia have had good to great NFL careers. But as far as the Cleveland Browns were concerned, they were not good here, for whatever reason.
Yeah, some guys might have been good if it weren't for injuries. Maybe those guys weren't busts for their careers. But, they were a bust to the Cleveland Browns.
What U and others tend to overlook is what they were expected to do when they came here..for some it was just a bandaid..because most of the players were one diminsional at the time anyway..some were on the downside of their careers.. The problem I have is with people OVERRATING players...acting like they're the best thing since sliced bread...see Andra Davis...Jackson..Tucker...A.Henry...Faine...the list goes on and on..all you have to do is look at the top players at their positions on other teams and ask do they compare well?? Are they dominate? The other fact which I point out every year(about 5-8 times) this organization has not known how to draft/fit and develop players for the team..we draft and sign (FA's)players who don't fit what the coaches claim they want to do..finesse linemen when you want power schemes..and power players when you want to run zone schemes..same thing with LB's.. we continually bring in 43 pursuit type backers when we need guys who stuff the run and can drop in coverage..

Here is the thing...we are making a lot of assumptions here...Many are assuming that Leonard was let go because of his altercation with Cox...
Personally...I think it is a coincedence. I think Smith was let go because he was a big mouth and was going to continue to disrespect Cox and the coaches. I think Leonard was not going to make the team. Just a numbers thing. And when Carolina came calling about Corey Williams, we said "no freaking way" but we got this other guy that could give you some decent minutes...
Now I am all open to the possibility that he was traded because of the altercation and Mangini will do nothing to dispell that image....mess with the coach and you can pack your bag....But Carolina came to us I believe...not the other way around...had we openly shopped him...it might be a different story...Not to mention...if it was because of the altercation...why not just drop him like a sack of potatoes like we did Smith....Smith was more valuable and we let him go with nothing in return....so we obviously were not afraid to do so....but we didn't....he was traded to a team that came to us....I think it was coincedence....
I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...
What's the use of wearing your lucky rocketship underpants if nobody wants to see them????

As long as we got somthing, I am good with it. Thought he would be cut probably. So 6 or 7 is fine, fodder for bundling larger trades later.
