I just hope he didn't wear that stupid bone hat in his meeting with Lerner.
He did!
Browns fans say owner has dogged determination

BEREA, Ohio(AP)—Die-hard Browns fan Mike Randall made sure he put on his Sunday best for his important meeting with team owner Randy Lerner.
He wore a giant plastic dog bone hat.
The season-ticket holder, aka “Dawg Pound Mike,” one of the best known members of Cleveland’s rabid bleacher section of fans, spent two hours on Tuesday meeting with Lerner, who stepped away from a turbulent week and his busy schedule for the visit. ADVERTISEMENT
Randall and his friend, Tony Schafer, have been encouraging others to stay out of their seats for the opening kickoff of Cleveland’s next home game on Nov. 16 to protest the Browns’ futility. The fans were scheduled to spend 30 minutes with Lerner but ended up staying much longer.
“It was great,” Randall said. “How many owners would spend two hours meeting with two fans? None.”
Randall said Lerner was receptive to their ideas for improving the Browns’ game-day experience at Cleveland Browns Stadium and even tossed out a few of his own. Randall, who has met Lerner several times, came away impressed with the owner’s passion and determination to get the Browns turned around.
“He’s doing everything he can to improve the Browns,” Randall said. “He wants it to happen - now.”
Lerner’s meeting with the fans came less than 24 hours after general manager George Kokinis was removed from his job, the latest upheaval for a franchise that has made the playoffs just once since 1999 and is on its fourth head coach in 10 years.
The camera-shy Lerner has yet to address the circumstances surrounding Kokinis’ departure.
Randall said Lerner liked the fans’ idea for displaying some of the team’s championship banners and retired jersey numbers inside the stadium. Lerner also seemed unaware of the strict security measures in place at the stadium, a zero-tolerance policy that has upset some Cleveland fans.
“He’s a fan, just like us,” Randall said. “He wants what’s best for Cleveland and I believe him. He wants to win.”
Randall said he and Schafer are going forward with the “Brown out” protest despite their meeting with Lerner. They will consider canceling it if Lerner agrees to speak to Browns fans, who walked out by the thousands during the second half of a recent home loss to Green Bay.
Randall said he presented Lerner with a quote from Theodore Roosevelt that he felt best summed up his desire to have Browns fans heard.
“It says, ‘In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing,”’ Randall said. “Randy liked that. We’re doing something. So is he.”

Couple of douche bags if you ask me. They got their meeting, yet they're still going with the Brown-out. If I was Lerner I'd refund their tickets, ban them from the stadium for life and tell them to get the F out of his office. But that's just me.

I've been silent till now on this one.. they asked for a meeting. They got one with the owner, as they said "who else would do that?"
And they are still doing this? It's obvious Randy is upset and making moves.
I won't be at the game, but I will make it a point to be in my my chair 15 minutes prior to the game to protest this silly assed protest. I will never turn my back on this team.

I have a newfound respect for what these guys are doing. I'm starting to believe maybe they really are speaking for the entire fanbases frustration.
They don't speak for me or my frustrations.. I'm of the opinion that they got thier answers.. Randy cares and he's not going to quit until he gets the right guys in place to turn us into winners.
What more do you want from the man.. To me, that's all I can ask of an owner.
Randy appears to be a private person, so you can bet the media hopes that these efforts do indeed cause him to speak in public.

Anybody hear DawgPound Mike on Mike & Mike this morning? Wasn't much different than what was talked about on Drennen.
He made it clear that nobody should doubt Lerner's passion and desire to hold up that trophy.
He also a nice shout out to Bob Golic for brother Mike.
The Brown Out is still on . . .

Can somebody explain to me why it's called a "Brown Out"? All of the seats at CBS are orange.. if nobody is in their seats, the stadium will look.... ORANGE.
That and I agree with you Daman, if you protest (or threaten to protest) then get the answer you want, you stop protesting.. right?

Personally we should have brown seats...I think the orange stands out too much.

Right
Again, I wouldn't mind hearing from Randy, but I'd rather wait until he has some matters resolved in his mind.., and I just can't believe he is there yet..
I can wait knowing that he's working it..

DPM received a call from the Tonight Show. Maybe I should stage a protest so I could meet Lerner and be on the Tonight Show as well.

Or maybe if you want to try and bitch about someone else, you should do what he is doing.
Like it or not, DPM has been extremely successful at what he is doing. He is doing what he believes in and I wish MORE people would have the balls to go out and do what he is doing, no matter how much criticism he receives.
Go DPM, let the whole country know what it's like to be a damn Browns fan.
you had a good run Hank.

I'm guessing cause "Brown Out" is a pre-existing term. The definition as Wiki is "drop in voltage in an electrical power supply, so named because it typically causes lights to dim."
Also, it flows better. Orange Out is kind of clunky.

that's why you dont' use 'Orange Out'....you use 'Operation Orange'
or if you really want to show the nation what it is like being a Browns fan, you use 'Clockwork Orange' (can't tell me that us watching the past 10 years isn't unlike the graphic displays that were forced upon the lead subject in that movie)

Maybe someone should organize the opposite to occur to show support for the team and the owners efforts to try and fix this mess. Anyone can whine and cry but right now I'd bet the players would really love to see a fanbase that supports them through the troubling times too.

I understand and that's fine. I just think that enough has gone on in the last few weeks/months... that Randy could address the fans to tell us what he's thinking about.. I'm not expecting him to have all (or any) answers at this point... it's an appearance, it's a comfort thing... I KNOW he's working on it but a quick presser to squash some rumors and state what he's working towards would do a world of good in the calming everybody down right now... then he could come back on once he has made some decisions..
Look at it this way, right now he has EM doing pressers and DawgPoundMike doing interviews all over the place... they are, either in actuality or by default, serving as the voice of the Browns organization and fans... I would think, that as the owner, I would want my own opinions stressed in my own words in the media...

Not sure why you all back east have not heard anything...But here all the sport's talk are saying what a great owner he is for trying to support the fan,s and change the sickness that has acured. While the owner of the skinn's is not a pearson that care's about the fan's...
