Yeah I agree about Pearl, a great coach. And if Kentucky wasn't exposed by the zone defense before, they definitely are now. They looked clueless against it, kind of just stood around and passed the ball around the perimeter most of the game.

OSU up by 23 with 7 minutes to go. Diebler has been on fire...

Joe Thomas made Justin Timberlake change his name. He didn't want wusses to have the same initials...

Always great to beat UNC regardless of how sucky they are and how bad we play. Sets up a big game sunday in Cameron vs the T(w)erps ...

Should go along way towards ACC #1 seed and conference POTY. Heres hoping for a Duke win.

jay, sorry I never responded to this... Maryland picked a bad day to play awful. Give some credit to Duke they played great defense and forced Maryland to have guys taking the 3s that they didn't want to shoot them but if Maryland is going to compete with Duke they have to be on from the 3-point line.. 1 for 10 or whatever they were isn't going to cut it.

I was happy that the Terps rebounded and pounded UVA, now they have NCSU tonight, which I'd love to go to because it's here and it's not sold out but I can't go.

Man I really hope we never play Kentucky. Demarcus Cousins would flat out abuse us inside.

The John Wall/Evan Turner matchup would be fun to watch.

But, DeMarcus would probably dunk the ball with Dallas Lauderdale attached to it lol.

Dallas Lauderdale has turned into such a wuss. I actually liked every other matchup except Lauderdale vs. Cousins. It would be like watching Z vs Dwight.

Lighty is the best defender in the big 10 when he gets his head out of his ass. So he could guard Bledsoe.

ET and Wall would just go at eachother like crazy so that's a wash for me.

Diebler is just a 3 point shooter but his D is picking up which is a huge plus.

Lastly William Buford can be unstoppable when he has confidence. I don't think the kid trully realizes how much potential he has.

However we have NO bench

Okay Mr. Lauderdale you can kiss your starting job goodbye next year. Jared Sullinger will punk him in practice

Here's a funny story about Dallas Lauderdale. (And, it will help you understand the type of OSU fans I deal with, which is why I hope they lose every game lol).

I was my buddy's work the other day, and we were talking about basketball. He's not a blind OSU homer, and we were talking about basketball. Specifically John Wall vs. Evan Turner and how much fun it'd be to watch that match-up.

His co-worker decided to chime in. Said "Yeah, but we'd win, because John Wall is all you guys got."

I said "Really? You don't honestly believe that, do you?"

He says "Yeah, Ohio State has a MUCH better supporting cast"

I try to ignore it, and I'm just like "Yeah, okay guy" lol....

But then he asks me, "Who do you guys even have other than Wall?" so I proceed to tell him how we have at least 5 future NBA first round draft picks on the roster (Wall, Cousins, Bledsoe, Patterson, and Orton who is projected as a top 10 pick in the 2011 draft).

He says "I've only head of Wall... We got way better people"... I asked who....

First name out of his mouth "Dallas Lauderdale".

I just start laughing, and my friend goes "Dude, stop talking basketball, you're making our entire fanbase look bad, Dallas Lauderdale shouldn't even be playing D1 basketball, he should be playing at the YMCA"

Sheesh, I could understand if he said Buford but Lauderdale?!?

To be fair about it. We do have a solid supporting cast. Lighty is a lock down defender he shut Hummel down. Diebler is very streaky so I wouldn't hold my breath on him. Buford just needs someone or something to install confidence in him. The kid will be a stud in the future.

However I have no idea how Lauderdale made it on this team. I think it's by default because Madisen is mobile as the statue of liberty.

Yeah, I didn't even let him finish his sentence. As soon as he said Dallas Lauderdale, I was done lol.

I think Kentucky goes down tomorrow. Vandy is a tough team, and it's always tough to play in that ridiculous gym.

Also, with all our young guys, it's going to be tough for Cal to coach them from the freakin' baseline

I HATE Vandy's gym.

My goodness Vandy should have been CRUSHED tonight. Kentucky lost their cool tonight because Vandy played them physically. That's a major flaw in their armour. Syracuse would be a nightmare for them.

It was the right call to get the timeout as the ball crossed midcourt to set up a catch and shoot play. You don't plan on a guy banking in a running one-hander from 30 feet. But yes, it was a good win. Maryland needs to figure out this whole offensive rebounding thing, they give up WAAAAAY too many offensive rebounds and second chance points.

I rewatched the last few seconds several times to figure out just how Ga Tech got such an easy, unopposed, offensive rebound and put it back in with 3 seconds left. Favors, who had abused the Terps all day on the offensive boards was near the foul line when the final shot was taken, Dino Gregory was guarding him. As the shot went up, Gregory became a spectator and did NOTHING as Favors went right around him to the front of the rim for the put back... Man I was hot. Until Tucker made the shot that won the game.

Kansas right now is the #1 overall seed. We need Kansas to lose, and we need to win out, including the SEC tourney to get the #1 overall seed.

Eh, games like today happen.

Conference game, on the road against a Top 25 opponent, less than 48 hours after our last game.

Oh well.

We tend to overlook teams.

Obviously we'll win the first round game vs. the 16 seed.

The 8/9 winner is the game that scares me. That looks like a game to me that we might overlook, and get beat.

If we get through the 2nd round, I think we'll be a tough out, but that 2nd round REALLY worries me.

I hate to say it Top. John Wall vs. the 1-3-1 zone would scare the hell out of me.

Theirs no doubt the kid is a stud but he turns the ball over a lot. I personally think it's just a mental thing. A guy like Wesley Johnson or Evan Turner would cause a lot of trouble for him. He overpenetrates and forces up a circus shot. He also tries to jump turn and kick it out to the perimeter while fading out of bounds. The good news for him is that Demarcus Cousins would relieve pressure off of him when attacking the zone.

If Syracuse loses to Villanova tonight, Purdue, without Hummel will probably be #1

If 'Cuse wins, it'll be..

1. Cuse
2. Purdue
3. Kansas
4. Kentucky

If 'Cuse loses..

1. Purdue
2. Kansas
3. Kentucky
4. Duke

OSU will kill Purdue in the Big 10 tourney. We should have beaten them twice this year. Now they won't have hummel to create mismatches for our D. Now we can put Lighty on Grant and have the luxury of doubling Jejuan Johnson.

OSU just won the big ten today..no posts? i'm surprised...

Anyways, March will be interesting this year...i honestly have no clue how the buckeyes will do. Even with evan turner i don't know if they can make a run this year..we have no bench. I will be shocked tho if we lose in the first round.

The local news reported a "guaranteed share." I wonder, is their now a chance of an outright crown, or, if not what becomes the appropriate tiebreaker ?

I think they play Illinois on Tuesday.

Wow, big shake up at the top this weekend. My Terps held on in dramatic double OT fashion (with no running water in the building) to beat Virginia Tech and set up a good game this week with Duke... the ACC is officially a 2 team race now and if I know Maryland, and I hate to feel this way, but they'll beat Duke and then lose to UVA... that's just how they roll. Oh well, hopefully the Terps show up and give Duke a good solid run for their money and pull this one out... even though I don't think they are on Dukes level this year...

Yeah but we can lose that, and still be Big Ten Champs,...no ?

BNS reporting the Bucks hold all the "tiebreakers" -- I was just wondering how they shook out.

Anyway, ranked # 6 now ,..? WOW !! Sweep the Tourney and get a # 1 seed,...

Not happening.

Kentucky, Kansas, Syracuse are locks for a #1 seed. Duke will win the ACC tournament, and they'll be the 4th #1 seed.

i don't want a #1 seed for the Bucks....anything short of a Final Four run would then be deemed a disappointment and frankly I doubt this team has enough for such a run.

Evan Turner is amazing....but only using 6, sometimes 7 players just is not the making for a deep tourney run.

The 2 guys in my sig could carry this team to a final four. However this whole season has been above my expectations just like the football team this year. Next year should be our title run for both sports

With all the TV timeouts during the NCAA tourney, players generally don't get as tired, and you don't need to be as deep as you'd think.

Playing on a Thursday and a Saturday during the season is A LOT different than playing on a Thursday and Saturday in the tourney.
