How about the cat with the leather Steelers jacket at :37 and 4:53?

Based on the Palin supporters I've come across, I'd say this is a pretty fair sampling...but to be fair, I could say the same thing about Obama supporters as well.

That borders is about a mile from where I live. Last year, people lined up for hours in a thunderstorm in that parking lot in for some free Chipotle, another phenomena for which I do not understand.

I think they covered all the "isms" governments.

Could help but notice that after every time the interviewer asks a question, he smacks his slips together like 3 or 4 times afterward, like he's chewing cud.

Sara Palin has more class in her little finger than Michelle Obama has in her whole body. You will never hear her say how for the 1st time she is proud of her country, and I'll guarantee you will never see her running around the world apoligizing and looking for for foreign heads of state to bow down too.

Yeah, I mean, God forbid Obama use the customs of the country he is in to show respect to their leaders.

And what did this thread have to do with Obama anyway?

FYI, everything is about Obama.

But getting back to Sarah Palin, every time I hear her last name, I think of Paladin, for some reason. What do you think that means?

My guess: I need to go on vacation.

Or shooting wild game from an airplane. Isn't that kind of like cheating?

Have you ever tried shooting at a moving target, while moving? Seems more challenging to me than sitting in a tree waiting to ambush your prey as they wander by.

Ever shoot an arrow from a helicopter? I haven't, but I'll go on record as saying that would be nothing but a wasted helicopter trip........moving helicopter, moving deer.......ain't gonna happen unless someone invents a bow that shoots about 40 arrows at a time.

Sarah's gettin' paid, yo...
...and these rubes are droppin' her the skrilla on the daily.

Bank it, Sarah! You go, girl!
Invest well, Hunny.
(I'd put my assets in gold these days... the dollar ain't what it used to be...)

Folks... Let's not be hoodwinked yet again. This is yet another shining example of the cheapest form of 'The American Dream' being played out in front of us all- in Real Time.

Do any thinking Americans actually believe that this person is on TV because she cares about ANY OF US?

Please.

She's merely the latest, politically-based version of the Balloon Boy's parents... get your 'Warhol 15' /get your cash/ get (tf) out.

I don't belive for one minute that this woman is serious about a commitment to political ideology or the betterment of America at all. Not for one fleeting minute. I believe that she'll make as much newsworthy "hay" as she can while the sun's still shining upon her... and use it as leverage to land a multi-year deal with FoxNews.. as their newest, "freshest" talking head- and I don't hold it against her her for doing so.

At the same time, I won't be one of those who grease her tracks to a daily show on TV.

To put it bluntly, I work too hard for my money to give even a dime of it to the likes of her. (And I didn't buy either of Barack Obama's books, either....)

As the huckster par excellance, Don King once (and repeatedly) said: 'ONLY IN AMERICA!!!!"

I felt sorry for her when McCain picked her for a running mate. His announcement was the very first instant when I thought it possible that he'd lose the election. Since she wasn't well known, it wasn't hard to figure that she soon would be defined by the media, Dan Quayle instantly came to my mind. I have to say how surprised I was on how easy she made her portrait for 'em.

It has nothing to do with helicopters and a low flying airplane, unless you're in turbulance is much like an eagle stalking its prey. Piece of cake.

I advocate hunting. I advocate gun rights. I understand how wolves must be kept in check. But this isn't sport at all.

And I was replying to Duty about the issue of "class". I don't think this shows much class at all. It seems more like a game for those who can afford it to have some special right to just use wild animals as target practice.

People may see this differently and you have every right to. But as a hunter myself I truely fail to see the sport in this at all.

Sorry Clem, the cheapest form of the American Dream being played out in front of us all, and to a much bigger detriment than wasting $25 on a book, is the guy that won the White House, not the ones that lost it.

I think one of the reasons Palin wrote a book is to offset her court costs. She has been sued for every stupid reason the left can come up with. If they can't win honestly they will sue you into the poor house ( see Al Gore, Peta, ect ) .

Bush setting up town hall meetings?

No, it was obama my friend. O has set up most of his town halls.........i.e. only certain people get in.

He hasn't bowed down here in the u.s., I'll give him that.

But, he has apologized to every country other than Lichtenstein.

Just a few.

You also may want to look at the conservative criticism of Obama's "staged" town halls on health care. They call Obama a hypocrit (rightly so) for having a staged town hall after criticising Bush (rightly so) for doing the same thing.

Another swing and a miss arch. keep trying though. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and again. I'm going home now. Enjoy your thanksgiving.

That's your reply? Did you even read the links? They are even less than a joke.

I would like everyone to click on the links this guy posted. Even the the most biased person will see them for what they are.

I don't mean to single you you on this at all, because you're usually a fair-minded poster...but this sentence perfectly fits what is really destroying this country....

"Your side is destroying the country!"
"No YOUR side is destroying the country!"

That argument happens every day on this board, it's happening right now in bars and living rooms everywhere.

We'd all be better off if we examined those two statements, thought them over and realized that neither speaker is wrong.

How damn long have I been saying that.. at least a year now and all anyone ever hears are the good things I say about Obama. (think I'm kidding, watch what is said about me making that comment)

I've been saying for quite a while,, ONLY those on either side that lean towards the center will ever be TRUE PUBLIC SERVANTS... (you watch, someone will say they are fence riders.... as if trying to find solutions that fit the country as a whole is a bad thing)

The FAR left and the FAR right have agendas.. and those agendas are NOT in our best interests as a whole.... BUT, there is good in both,,, and there is BAD in both. Sorting it out is the trick,,, and until we force people to tell the truth about positions rather than spin it.... we will suffer..... as a people..

Damon, you should no there's no room for moderation in this country. Middle ground in everybody's best interest is scoffed at. It's either one extreme or the other. No other choice.

The only choice people like us have is when things go too far to the right, we must vote left. Then when things swing too far to the left we must vote to the right.

That;s the only choice we have to try to keep things on a somewhat even keel. A sad state of reality actually.

I don't think our founding fathers would have a problem with everyone in America having the right to get medical care. No matter what form it takes. I don't care if the current system is revamped or if an entire new system is installed. Whatever it takes.

I don't think they would object to us trying to be friendly and have good relations with our world neighbors and do our best to use diplomacy rather than play Rhinestone cowboy.

MANY of Obama's ideas I find fault with. I've never walked lockstep with any political presidential candidate that I've had an oppertunity to vote for in our lifetime. Zero, none, nada.

But I have seen presidents who overall have been good for our country and those who have been bad. For many such as myself, I will continue to vote to the right when things appear to have gone too far left, and vote to the left when it appears things have gone too far to the right.

Because people like us have no other legitimate choice. And through it all we will be labeled and scoffed at by the opposition. So I understand what you're saying but believe me it will fall on deaf ears. jmho

I've never condensed my thoughts down to that.. but when I read this comment, it hit me,, yup, that's what I've always done.. I guess I needed someone like you to pen the words.. Thanks

More often than not, I've voted more to the right,, (speaking of presidential candidates only) But I was Mercilessly ridiculed on this board for going left in the last election...

How anyone on either extreme can be arrogant enough to think they have all the solutions and the other side doesn't have any, is beyond me. I can't even begin to rationalize it..

Too many people listening to Limbaugh and Olberman IMO,,,

I strongly oppose censorship, but I am strongly in favor of forcing pundits, politicians or anyone in a position of influence to be accountable for what they say.

Someday, "we the people" are going to stand up and say.... IT's NOT OKAY to mislead us.

I wasn't around when they were, and I won't pretend to know what they would think of us today,,, But given all that I"ve read and been taught (admittedly main stream) I agree with you 100%..

I can remember when discussion of waterboarding was a hot topic.... I made a comment that I thought we were a better people than that....

You would have thought that I was advocating opening our borders and allowing terrorists in to do as they pleased.. NOT EVEN CLOSE... but that's the perception some had....

Quote:

Me too... and further review of what I think is the Health Care reform bill kinda ticks me off as well.. there are things in there that I don't like..

But you know what I was NEVER against........ DEBATE.. I just can't understand the benefit to the american people if we don't debate this plans merits... I think, I hope at least that from debate comes solutions we all can agree on.. at least for the most part..

But Nooooo,, both extremes want what they want.. Damn the people....

I really didn't know you and I agreed on this point Pit..., I suddenly don't feel so all alone..

I guess it all depends upon how one defines the word "class."
...and words like that are, shall we say, highly subjective.

Duty, My Dawg... you're free to think that Ms. Palin has "class," if you want to- and I won't debate you about it... but for me, 'class' is certainly one word I haven't ever attached to her at all.

For me, she's another one of those folks who suddenly found herself in the spotlight, and is doing all she can to make the most of her 15 minutes of fame.

I won't blame her for getting what she can... but that isn't 'class' to me. By the same token, it isn't necessarily "classless," either. She simply is what she is... another person grabbing the brass ring that's been placed within her grasp. In that regard, she's really not so different than 50 Cent or Britney Spears.

(Don't laugh... she may be a national "political" personality now, but she did play a little flute [badly] in a Miss Alaska competition decades ago... which tells me that she was an 'attention whore' even back then. Times may change, but people rarely do.)

Spin her any way you want... but you've done nothing to convince me that she's anything other than what she seems.

And tell me... just how did Michelle Obama's name get dragged into a thread about Sarah Palin's book? I'm still scratching my head on that one....
