The Arizona Cardinals have traded receiver Anquan Boldin to the Baltimore Ravens for third and fourth round draft picks, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Boldin, who will be entering the final year of his contract, had 84 receptions for 1,024 yards and four touchdowns in 2009.
The Cardinals have had a busy off season with the retirement of Kurt Warner and the release of Antrel Rolle. Inside linebacker Karlos Dansby may also leave the team after becoming an unrestricted free agent.
The Ravens bolstered their receiving corps with the signing of Donte' Stallworth in February to a one-year contract.

Wow ...... I can't believe that they gave him away like that. Unfortunately, he makes the Rats a lot better.

i'm trying to be calm here....i'm repeating to myself that you build through the draft.....Boldin has injury issues....he's 31 next season.....he's going to require a huge contract.....this is a deep draft.... but Flacco to Boldin is going to be something we will have to live with for the next few seasons....

The Arizona Cardinals have traded receiver Anquan Boldin to the Baltimore Ravens for third and fourth round draft picks, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Boldin, who was entering the final year of his old contract, agreed to a new $28 million, four-year deal with the Ravens, according to league sources. He had 84 receptions for 1,024 yards and four touchdowns in 2009.

4 yr 28 mil. That isn't too much to ask for either. If that's all he wanted I wish we would have made a run at him. I also don't understand why the Cards couldn't get something done.

You do realize he caught 100 balls in a season before he had Fitz playing with him right?

Good move by the Ravens. It has seemed that Boldin has had some injury issues, but that's because he is a big physical guy. He is a top-notch WR, IMO, but can he still be a no. 1?
Our DBs' job just got a little harder, I'll say that much.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

again, not calling BOLDIN the bust, calling the move a bust. sacrificing the 3rd for results that i don't think will be that great. i don't think he's a #1 receiver. he's a #2. who is going to be their 1? stallworth? give me a break.
he's a good player but this isn't randy moss going to the pats. we'll be ok. again, the sky isn't falling and the world isn't coming to an end.

Exactly, and it takes a 3rd round pick out of Ozzies hands and for what, a year maybe two of possible production before he hits the wall.

I dont know if i agree with you guys. Bolden is a heck of a reciever. I personally would have loved him here. they had a dire need at the position. they picked up Stalworth for the love of God. this makes them better. They have the QB, they have the RB, the have the LT. they want to strike again while that defense is still top 5. IF your saying Ozzie gets a better player than Bolden in back of the 3rd round that helps them withing the next year or two......well lets just say that's a stretch. Even for the almighty Oz'.

WE HAVE TO upgrade our DB's now.....Boldin, Ward, Ocho, Holmes, Wallace....maybe T.O. and our division is loaded with good WR's....we already knew we needed the help....now it is a must! We need to be able to win the division before we can worry about anything else....and with the shape of our DB's I am very worried!

I would rather just keep Quinn, and draft D, D, D, D and then some more D
I mean heck if Trent Dilfer can win a superbowl then Quinn could to.....we have to be able to stop em from scoring and keep it close...

Don't get me Wrong..Bolden is a heck of a Wideout and I would have loved to have him here especially for a third rounder. But the guy also had the opportunities he did because he was a second receiver next to one of the two top receivers in the game. They don't miss a beat when he is injured with Doucet, Urban, or Breaston in there. That and they had one of the most accurate QB's in history throwing them the ball. He is smallish at 6'1, but yeah he is good and catches everything that comes his way. Hopefully of the four or five games he is injured every year.. two are against us.

I'm thinking we are giong for DB's in the draft.. LB's in the Draft and maybe a FA pickup.. (fujita)..

I follow,....my theory on this is, ASSIST the defense by running the ball and controlling the clock.
