Who knows what happens with the RBs? Maybe Vickers winds up the odd man out and we keep 4?

Stramger things have happened.

I think this makes James Davis the odd man out. He isn't versatile like Vickers is. Hillis has played FB so he can backup Vickers and be a receiving threat on third and long/pass blocker. We won't cut Harrison or the new guy who was drafted.

Vickers is a top-notch FB. we aren't going WCO yet and we won't keep 4 RBs, especially since Cribbs basically takes up a spot for his special teams play/flash package.

Hillis didn't start FB for browncos, he was backup wasn't he? FBs main job is to block, Vickers is awesome at blocking and he adds a little bit of versatility (more than T. Smith)

Yeah, I see this as the end of james davis or at least davis on the practice squad. We don't have room for 4 RBs, and I just don't see how we could cut Vickers, one of out few good players

RB's:

1.) Jerome Harrison
2.) Montario Hardesty
3.) James Davis/Peyton Hillis

FB's:

1.) Lawrence Vickers
2.) Peyton Hillis

James Davis could end up being stashed on the Practice Squad in case if Jerome Harrison gets injured, which he still has durability concerns. However, it's not a bad line up if they can stay healthy.

get real

Yeah, look at all of those NFL carries he has too!

Oh...wait...

James Davis is going to be Ben Gay part II. The sooner people realize that, the better off they'll be.

i think both of these extremes are ridiculous. davis is what he is. a 2nd day rb who showed some stuff against low competition but isn't anything close to proven. what gets me the most is the ASSumption that hillis is gonna be the odd man out. GMFB. this guy is proven in the nfl, far more so than hillis or even hardesty right now, not to mention we just traded for him. no way hillis doesn't make the team.

right now, it's harrison/hillis/hardesty with vickers at fb. jennings is probably gone and davis might stick, he might not.
