Arians wouldnt know how to maximize his talents. I dont care if he won a SB, he dont know how to maximize his players talents.

Now, if they had Mularky, that would be a differant story.

It was similar to when Savage tried to trade up to get Russell. Insert Raiders for Steelers and Wimbley for Mack.

No...it was a conv. we just had....Steelers need a C...and he asked what it would cost to move up to 18....and since the Browns don't have another first rounder....and in "mock" world...I might not ever see the later picks...I had to put Macks name in the loop.

All the top Defensive talent went off the board early....3 Safties, top Corner...top 2 LB's

So it came down to Poucey vs Iupati.....and the Steelers need a Center....more than a G at this point...as they just drafted Urbik in the 3rd last year to play RG...so Im hoping he develops.

Word was the rumor came straight from Arians.....then the debate took off as to if he wanted fired...or was just trying to beat them to it.

Good Pick Hack.

Pouncey was who I was targeting with my trade down for the Broncos. I nearly picked him at 11. They are in desperate need of a center. Unfortunately that would have meant making him the highest drafted center ever: Ahead of Cleveland's own Steve Everett No. 14, in 1993, and Pete Brock (Denver) No. 12, in 1976.

Do you guys think Pouncey could handle AFC North Nose Tackles 1 on 1?

Thanks everybody for making picks so far today; I'm glad to see the draft moving forward quickly.

When I was drafting for the Steelers I was eyeballing Spiller and Iupati. I thought about Pouncey but I thought he was a little bit of a reach at 18, though I'm sure you know the Steelers needs better than me.

when this started, I figured it would happen when I was on my flight back to Texas. just 9 picks from that being a reality in the next few hours

(don't worry, I gave Deep my big board to account for that possibility)

I actually agree that 18 is a little high....but no offers to trade up came......and with the idea of keeping this thing moving...vs waiting till more people got a chance to log on....I made the pick.

Are you concerned about Mendenhall being asked to do the heavy lifting now that Parker's gone? That's why I was thinking Spiller.

Mendenhall did the heavy lifting last year....Parker had 49 carries in the last 11 games which is just over 4 carries a game.

Mewelde Moore is still there....and Frank Summers should be in the mix as well next season after spending the year on IR.

I actually like Best more than Spiller...but both were on my list.

With the 15th pick of the 2010 NFL Draft, the New York Giants select:

Sean Weatherspoon LB MIssouri

Thanks deep for making it official.
Off the record, McClain was the guy I truly wanted (but on the record, Weatherspoon is the guy I was targeting all along haha).

All my boys say the texans will draft a RB, and well since the RB with the best grade in the draft falls in my lap...I guess with the #20 Pick the Houston Texans will add C. J. Spiller RB Clemson.

I'll give Turk about 20 minutes and then i'm getting off and going to sleep.

If anyone is going to be up for a while I will give you my top two picks if he isn't on by then.

Or if someone wants to trade up by then i'm open to it, and i'm sure the Pats woudl be as well, they always are open to trading down in the first round.

Nah I don't want to trade up now

I did want to trade up to 11 to try and land Pierre-Paul but I thought Brandon Graham was a slam dunk the way the draft was un-folding. Plus I figured it would be waaaay out of New Englands draft philosiphy.

But I will send you a PM of my picks, I have to hit the sheets.

The Bengals go O-line here since all the 1st round LB's and Safeties are gone...

With the 21st pick of the 2010 NFL Draft.. the Cincinnati Bengals select..
Mike Iupati - Guard from Idaho

Well plan A and plan B went off the board the last three picks so the New England Patriots select Jared Odrick.

With the departure of Seymour there is a glaring need at the DE position. Thought about Sergio Kindle but character issues go against everything the Patriots are all about.

Kindle has worse character issues than Odrick??? Hasn't Odrick been in trouble a time or two? What's Kindle's story?

Or is Navaro Bowman, the PSU defensive player who's been a bonehead?

Sorry about taking Graham.

Kindle has been in some trouble with the bottle. He was arrested (I think) on some alcohol charges when he was young, then wreck his car into an apartment complex before this year....He ran away from teh accendent and it was widley believed that he had been drinking, but he was never charged with any wrong doing (said he fell asleep at the wheel). He has been a pretty good kid over all. I think most college kids will have a drink or two....granted most of them don't run thier car into apartment complexes!

The Austin-American Statesman (the local newspaper) famously ran a headlnie a few years back to describe the program's legal troubles with the headline "Book 'Em, Horns!"
