deron williams is worth watching a game. that guy is unreal, probably the most underrated player in the game.

Trouble with Deron is his horrible shiny comb-over. That's tough to look at. Shave that thing dude.

That series is going to come down to the health status of Boozer and AK-47. If those guys aren't good to go, I don't think Utah can win.

I think GS even put two of the injured guys on the court for a bit, so that they could pull them off as "injured", and get that disqualification rule to apply.

I'm glad the playoffs are here but round 1 always kills me with the two days off between games, the first couple games are such teasers.

Does anyone know where I can find the Cav's playoff roster? It was supposed to decided on Thursday.
They have to go down to 12 players so assuming Jawad Williams and Daniel Green don't make it that means the last spot will have to be between Booby, Leon Powe or Sebastian Telfair.

that would be hilarious if the suns made the finals. dantoni builds that team up, doesn't make it, and then they get there 2 years later.

I don't think they will get there, but what fun is it to predict Cavs/Lakers?

i agree, they definitely look vulnerable and they lose a lot of their advantages when Bynum is not in there and playing well.

however, all I said is that it would be fun to predict the Cavs sweeping LAL, which I firmly stand by.

because your superstar player has not played in over a week, because another one of your stars is coming back after being gone 2 months, and because you lost 4 games in a row for the first time in forever.

i'm not worried.

and those that are trying to make the argument that "watch out for the bulls they took boston to 7 last year!!" realize a couple of things

1. the cavs this year are way better than that boston team last year

2. that boston team was without kevin garnett

3. that chicago team is much different than this year's edition, john salmons, who is now in milwaukee was their top scoring option. ben gordon, a spark of the bench and arguably their 2nd scoring option, is now in detroit, and tyrus thomas, their athletic energy guy, was traded to charlotte.

this is a team that backed into the playoffs, by getting very lucky by playing teams that were resting guys, ie the cavs, ie the bobcats, and also played toronto head to head without bosh.

i am not worried. maybe the cavs struggle early on, but i don't think it will take long. i'm not worried about lbj. antawn has played all through these games of resting other guys. i think we can lean on him a little bit if other guys are rusty. and mo has actually played better.

my only concern is mo having trouble with rose. but i think mike brown has all kinds of options he can throw at rose.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO......there's that word (rusty).

If "rusty" happens, my head will explode.

There is no excuse for "rusty". If "rusty" happens, Mike Brown better run for cover because everyone is going to be on him.

and if lebron played and rolled an ankle in atlanta the other night, everyone is going to be on him.

the guy made the right decision. regardless of what happens tomorrow. rust is not an excuse, but it can happen.

i worry about how we'll play with shaq, because antawn had limited time playing with him, however, both are veteran guys and both understand.

i think there may be some rust, but not a lot, and i don't think it will matter on saturday.

my main concern is Mike Brown figuring out our roster rotations when we have had this full playoff roster for ZERO games this year.

That's right, zero games have we had Z and Shaq and Jamison all at the same time.

But, if the main concern is about having too many talented players, the main concern makes me feel pretty good about the opening rounds.

ya just don't worry about that guy.

as well as shaq, and antawn. and delonte.

i think the only guy that i am really worried about is mo. hopefully he was just overwhelmed by last year's playoffs, but i expect more out of our starting poing guard.

there are just way too many hungry veteran guys out there for them to just crap themselves.

If Mo craps the bed again in the playoffs Delonte needs to start over him period!

It may hurt our bench depth and Mo's contest, however we saw what happened against Orlando. He just never turned it on and became a liability.

Some of this is worthy of a sig quote:

"I've been waiting — personally — since Game 6 of the Orlando series," James said.

"It's a different monster they'll be playing against on Saturday. I'm looking forward to the challenge."

James admits he has much pent up emotion stemming from the postseason loss.

"It hurt for a long time when you have to hold that in for the whole summer and the regular season," he said. "You have to hold that in.

"I'll be happy Saturday when I'll be able to unleash it."

James said he's going to play better than ever.

"Absolutely," he said. "You'll see."

Oh yeah I gotta ask everyone what their predictions for the playoffs will be.

Lakers over Thunder in 6
Mavs over Spurs in 4
Suns over Blazers in 5
Nuggets over Jazz in 7

Cavs over Bulls in 5
Magic over Bobcats in 6
Hawks over Bucks in 5
Celtics over Heat in 5

Semifinals

Lakers over Nuggets in 6
Mavs over Suns in 7

Cavs over Celtics in 5
Magic over Hawks in 6

Conference Finals

Lakers over Mavs in 7
Cavs over Magic in 7

Finals

Cavs over Lakers in 7 (LeBron hits game winning 3 in game 7 in kobe's face! ) I won't get any satisfaction from beating a team like the Nuggets, Mavs, Suns, etc. I may hate the Lakers as much as anyone on this board but I have to see this matchup:

no prediction from me.

the only thing i can say is that the cavs have everything in place.

the only teams i can see getting this thing done are the cavs, lakers and magic.

and the more i look at it, i think the bigger test for the cavs would be the magic.

can't wait for tomorrow. we've been subjected to bad basketball the last 2 weeks, and now it's on.
