Mike Brown is still a bad coach
We looked good today, but unlike Assassian, I'm still here after a good win, saying Mike Brown still sucks lol.

So... I'm not the Biggest Mike Brown supporter either but did you notice the defensive adjustments in this game from game 3? No open looks for Heinrich and much better at defending the high screen-n-roll on Rose.
MUCH better coaching today. (Of course, the obvious questions is "where was that last game?")
Live and learn.

So it took Mike Brown 3 games to figure out how to slow down the Bulls?
How long is it going to take him to figure out how to slow down the Celtics?
We might be at home getting ready for the draft by the time he figures it out.

You expect us to take YOU seriously when you rip a coach because his team dropped one game by 2 points ... and have won the rest by double digits. That Phil Jackson guy must really suck then.

This was the cavs team that won 61 games, no idea who that team that showed up the first 3 games was. Of course when lebron plays unconscious like that, chances are we are going to win. I still think Mo williams is a horrible PG and Brown still isn't that great of a coach. Parker on Rose was a bit of a reach but I think he did better than anyone else on him. The defense finally showed up, and Hickson getting some minutes is a good thing, regardless if brown thinks we needed JJ and Z this series, you got to get them some minutes because the next series we might need to rely on them, esp if we get boston, JJ had some good games against them. So he needs to keep his head in it. Kinda curious what happened to lebron's elbow. One thing I've noticed is AV has gotten owned all series by Noah, people say they are similar, but they really aren't, i mean yeah they both have great energy, but skillwise, its not even close, Noah is about 50x the play andy is, but I can't stand that punk. I was waiting all game for a shaq elbow to put noah down for the count. That LA/OKC series is pretty interesting, LA is screwed right now, that being said though, i wouldn't have wanted to play OKC or Charlotte for our first series, we probably wouldn't have had a 3-1 lead. Surprisingly these playoffs this year has been pretty competitive and fun games to watch. I hope miami takes boston to 7 and wears them down a bit more. Watching that game today, reminded me how much i can't stand Rondo, what a cocky punk, its funny is he'll do something good, run down the floor talk smack, and next possession dribble it out of bounds.I also dream of wade/lebron together in cleveland..man that would be a crazy team. I would say better than anything the bulls ever had with mj/pippen.

Just clicking LEbron I was thinking as this game was close,Bulls hung in there, and when you have a great up and coming player like Rose they will hang in some games. Kind of like Philly back in Iversons hay days. AIs greatness kept them in games but without help he couldnt get them all they way over the hump. Anyways what I was thinking is our depth at forward was what won this game for us. The first part of the game was a rough and tumble affair, and as both teams drew fouls and players had to leave the game we just kept bringing in more good players while Chicago had a big fall off when Noah and Deng had to hit bench. Jamrio,JJ,Andy, came off the bench when Shaq and Twan got two fouls and we just kept on rolling. Lets give Mike Brown credit for the way he kept rolling those guys onto the floor. Of course Bron was Bron, would you expect any less. KING

okc isn't gonna win that series, but man are they growing up fast.
not being able to defend gasol and bynum will eventually doom them.
and as we are watching rose emerge as a top tier pg, how good is russell westbrook?

J/C I was at a local tavern and couldn't hear the audio. - But, at the end of the game, I heard Mike Tirico say something like "people speculate as to where Lebron will play next year..." did anybody catch the rest?
- Typical ESPN to not give Cleveland credit, or talk about the victory at hand.

The announcers were unbearable until near the end of the 2nd Q when Cleveland started bitchslapping Chicago. Then they pretty much shut up.
We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

You can think what you want LBJ, I have 2 playoff series in the last 2 years to back me up. The celts in 08 and the magic in 09 both because mr. potato head cant make an adjustment until every other person in cleveland can see it.
but hey he won coach of the year with the mvp.

ok maybe not "horrible", but average to below average PG, but he'd be a great SG, thats the key, he can't dribble penetrate, he's an average passer, and he can't finish at the rim, but he can shoot. It's nothing against mo, but he's not really a PG. You get a pure PG (ie telfair) and let mo slide over to the 2. And now he'll probably get you 20+ game. Only problem with him being a 2 is his size and defense. He's better than what we've had for sure, but he's so offensive minded he's made to be a 2

I like hubie, but yeah i can't stand those announcers, I do like the studio crew of Magic, stuart etc. Magic had me laughing post game when talking about lebron, they willing give cavs love.

I honestly didn't know how good Westbrook was until these playoffs I had only followed his stats through fantasy basketball But we'll probably see him on national tv quite a bit more in the future. By the way, speaking of young point guards. I think we're looking at co-rookies of the year with Evans and Curry?
Muni - The post game crew and even Michael Wilbon gave a little bit of credit and said Cleveland is the team to beat right now. I hardly pay any attention to Tirico.

I found the constant talking about chicago sandwiched between commericals for "ESPN chicago" a nice touch.

to be clear, he said even if he wins a championship his opinion wont change. He's hating to hate and putting all rationale aside. Continuing to argue with him would be an activity in futility.

He's the equivalent of Kosar calling football games. He really is the best.
As for two other topics of this thread:
*I'm not a big Mike Brown fan. Think he's an overrated coach. I was listening to Cowherd last week, and he said something that I thought was interesting. First, and I came on here and said this last year although I don't post about basketball much, he rides LeBron too much at the end of games. I literally cannot stand the one on five offense, and I believe it could be their undoing. Cowherd's take on it was that Brown got blasted some years back in Cleveland for not riding LeBron enough in crunch time and that if he's going to take any heat, he was going to take it by riding LeBron. Although I find Cowherd to be somewhat annoying at times, I thought this take was interesting. And I 100% agree with the one on five thing ... it's detrimental to the team.
*Mo is a terrible PG and an average player at best. He does one thing well ... shoot the ball ... that's it. What LeBron did with that team last year may be a bigger accomplishment than winning it all this year, especially with Mo as second fiddle.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

im sorry but i think he is everything you say he is not
average? he was a all star last year fwiw.
he cant dribble pen, finish at rim, and pass? i always see him penetrate then pop the j, if not he has a great floater. how many time do see him go base line and finish or drop pass in the "office" for lebron or jj? quite often. he is the 1st pg we had in a while who can create a shot. but he doesnt have too.
a sg? we already have a small sg in west. just because he catches alot of spot up three's doesnt mean he is a sg. that is just the ball we play. some one drives and finishes (lebron, mo, west) or kicks it out for the three ( mo west lebron parker etc) or drop it to the cutter (jj andy etc)
he just does what is asked. create, make 3s and dish, what a pg should do. telfair and slide mo over? and people make fun of mike brown

My only issue with Mo is that he isn't mentally tough. He needs to really step it up in the playoffs and hasnt shown the ability to do so consistently as of yet.

Mo's a decent pg but nowhere near the pg class that is emerging. the d-will, cp3, rose, rondo, Westbrook, maybe evans...
But, he also gets taken off the ball because of lbj.
Streaky shooter, weak on defense. He pushes the ball well and works good in transition. I like the guy but he does drive me crazy at times.
And I have no idea how u can blame mb for either the Boston or orl series loss. The cava were not the better team in 2008 and mb tried every which way to deal with howard and the magic. We had no big body to deal with Howard. Z couldn't handle him and he was our only 7 footer. Boston pushed them to 7 because they still had Perkins w/ kg out

No, I'm not serious ... just showing how rediculous everyone else is being. Phil's top seeded team is tied 2-2, with the last loss being a blow-out. Everyone is harping on Mike Brown because we're up 3-1, with only a 2 point loss to our credit.

Quote:
MB has won one eastern conference title, um actually Lebron won an eastern conference title.
Well gee ... in that case, MJ, Shaq and Kobe won all of Phil's titles.
What's really pathetic is the small number of guys that seem to only take joy in our losses, so they can pat themselves on the back and tell everyone else how they were "right" and that this team will never win anything. Of course, they only show up about 20% of the time when we actually lose a game. They never seem to appear when we're actually winning ... which is most of the time.
It's amazing that we've been able to win 60 games two years in a row now. I mean, Mike Brown is the worst coach in the league. Mo Williams is "terrible". Shaq, Z and Antwain are all old and useless. AP, Moon and Delonte are bench scrubs at best, Lebron just goes 1-on-5 and throws up stupid long jump shots ... I mean this team is horrible! How can we ever possibly win a championship? If we were ever a REAL team like last year's champs ... there's no way we'd lose a game against a freaking eight-seed.
Of course, if we DO happen to win a championship, these guys might show up to celebrate anyway, and inform all of us that we somehow managed to win DESPITE being a crappy team.

Your post is akin to saying that people can't be allowed to critique a team that is successful and they are beyond improvement.
Even if they win it all, it's possible Brown is an average coach and Mo is an average PG.
Don't know why that upsets you so much.
