I also think he might have fallen on it in the 3rd quarter maybe, a little slow to get up and put that sleeve on, maybe not the elbow directly but jarred his wrist and it traveled up his arm. Hopefully we get a few extra days off.

You said it before I could, it definitely sounds like a stinger. I had it happen a handful of times during the football season when I was younger and the first time you experience it it can be kind of worrisome. Its really not a big deal though, the feeling generally goes away and never comes back unless you have the same thing happen again. Its not like a concussion where having one makes you more susceptible to them in the future, there are just some things you do that make you more prone to them, such as putting on pads and smashing into people. Or in LeBron's case, driving down the lane and getting hammered all the time or hitting the deck a lot.

Knowing that it is a stinger makes me not as concerned about it... some massages and some heat treatment and he should be fine soon enough.
What concerns me is how tough this series seemed to be for us. The game shouldn't have been as close as it was.

Nevermind, just read an article. Considering atl and mil are tied up at 2 games, I didn't think we would start until Sunday at the earliest. would have been nice if Miami could have at least got 2 wins
looked on espn and it said cavs vs boston on sat with no time

Chicago is only 1 &1/2 players (colloq) short of being really good. I thought they gave us trouble all season, playing tough.
Boston is not going to be any less of a challenge. Hopefully Chicago set us up,....

I would think Boston vs. Cleveland would be a night game (8 PM EST). Can't imagine TNT wouldn't want the prime time west coast viewers on that one.
No idea when we'll officially find out though.

Orlando is sitting back laughing right now that we get Boston in the second round and they get either Atlanta or Milw. Atlanta won't match up well with Orlando at all. Boston would have given them a better match up.
Having a 7-game battle with Boston will make the Cavs stronger, though. Orlando won't gain anything by sweeping Atlanta. It's like the exact reverse of last year.

if Wade does turn his back on Miami and the extra $$$ for his hometown Chicago, they instantly become one of the East Elite. Rose and Wade in the backcourt with Noah and Deng is a pretty scary team.

Over under 25 games that team being healthy for the season? Wade and Deng are hardly pictures of health in the NBA.

it's wade.
rose isn't even the best point guard in the league (that going to d-will)
he's a hell of a player though, and right now i am 50/50 on wade staying. i think the money and the fact that it's miami, and it's been his home for 7 years has got to play a factor. but man, they have not gotten him ANY help.
bill simmons made the best comparison to the '06 heat, it was like a bunch of guys went to vegas, ran up the most ridiculous bill, had the time of their lives, and the next day, passed around the bill in utter shock.
i think that has got to at least make wade consider staying. they sold out and got him a championship, even though they payed dearly for it.
he also mentioned a few weeks ago that weather would play a huge factor. kind of a head scratcher, but he said it. i think it was his way of saying "guys, i wanna stay, but help me out here"
gut feeling says he stays. i think joe johnson is more realistic than wade.

Ditto. I've been saying this for the past two years. Deron Williams is the best PG in the league. I love his size, IQ, passing, shooting, creating his own shot, defense, can rebound a bit, all of it. He's very complete and has no ... in the armor.
As for Wade-Rose... Wade hand's down. Rose has the potential athletically to be the best PG in the NBA but his jumper's just not reliable enough. Even if Rose could consistently knock down a three or open long two, every facet of D-Wade's game is simply too pretty. There's just no debate.

i agree, JoeJ is the most likely to leave. i'd actually put Wade at less than 50/50.

don't rule out cp3 either, he had an off year with the injury and with his team kinda falling apart, but when healthy he is one of the most electric players in the league. but i just love d will's size. i think he can be as good of a defender as jason kidd, for point guards.
as far as wade/rose. rose is great, but wade showed he can win a game on his own, and rose isn't there, and he may never be to that point, but he's still a great player, and will be an all star for the next 10 years.

Wade ain't goin anywhere.. Miami holds the cards for free agency with the money to bring in another max player to pair with Wade, as well as another free agent (not a max player, but a solid player)..
Amare will most likely be in Miami next year..

If I had to guess ... I'm betting that Wade stays in Miami and Amare likely joins him for another max contract. He wanted to go to Miami in FA this year, and Miami can afford it.
I'm *hoping* that Bosh decides he wants to come to Cleveland and Toronto takes a sign and trade deal, rather than just losing Bosh outright. Of the three "main guys", I think Bosh is most likely to leave.
I don't think Paul is really a possibility, unless New Orleans really just wants to scrap everything and start over (or they know more about his injuries than the rest of the league).
As for New York, I think they desperately end up signing David Lee and Rudy Gay to max contracts when they find out that nobody wants to play for the Knicks just for the sake of being in New York. When all the players actually worth max contracts sign for their original teams and/or contenders, New York will throw out two max deals to two guys who probably aren't worth it.

I don't like the idea of starting round 2 of the playoffs before round 1 is over. It seems to happen every year. If atl/mil goes 7 we will have played 2 games before the other divisional series even starts.

Which means we get a nice break before the Conference Finals to get a little rest and soothe some bruises, etc...

Cleveland.com has an article saying it will be a night game, I guess Brian windhurst tweeted that it would be a night game a few minutes ago, so I'm not gonna believe my dinky I touch app.

Pffft....people still watch that?
Funny, my "boss" is going there this weekend. Some of his friends got tickets and decided to make a weekend of it. Dress up, drink some Mint Julips (SP), and bet on the ponies. Me, I'd rather eat my shorts than go to a horse race but I'm sure the talent ("women in hats tend to be proper" - Wedding Crashers) would be nice to look at. And having a few drinks would smooth over being at the track.

i've never gone, but i've heard people that have done it say it is a blast and an absolute must for anyone's bucket list. i guess it gets pretty wild.
but yeah, i think people still get caught up in it. i watch, i usually try and tune in 30-45 minutes before to hear the song, and see the race. but you know me, i'll take my cavs and an nba playoff battle over the race.
especially when it's blood. cavs v celts.

It's one of the oldest sporting traditions in the country. Still, I'd probably only flip over for about 2 minutes of the actual race if the Cavs/Celts were playing.

I tink its kind of funny that this thread is still continued. I see the title ........ Quote:

And think ..... Nope ... the series is not continued ... it's over!

Yeah, what a freakin joke. The magic pretty much have a bye to the ECF.
They played a Bobcats team that was awful in crunch time and then could potentially get a Bucks squad without Bogut or Redd. Talk about a cake walk.
On the flip side, we get Chicago and Boston, both of which would beat either of the teams Orlando will have to play. No justice in getting the #1.

Redd has been out for the majority of the season, not real fair to include him in that statement, he had nothing to do with the Bucks winning this season.

As a Bucks fan I hate that we lost Bogut though. If he was there I think this series would already be over. I don't think they would beat Orlando but they might have been able to steal a game or 2. Right now they have no real inside game to speak of. Orlando should role into the next series no matter which team they face.
