The two situations are similar enough that you can draw some parallels. They're both really good stories about people that started in one situation and ended up in a much better situation. I would assume everyone is cheering for the guy. The BIG difference between this guy and Oher is the timing. Now, Oher learned to play football in high school (I only saw the movie)? Our guy is basically learning how to play football in NFL mini-camps. You'd have to be blind to not see that it will be an "impossible" task to still be with the team once the season starts. But hey, achieving the impossible is what makes these stories so special, right? 
There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.
