we can argue semantics on the amount of part it played, but I do agree with what you say there.

Failed stimulus, reckless spending, absolutely clueless about economics god awful healthcare bill, ignoring the immigration problem. Change we can believe in, right?

Running his Presidency like a PR campaign doesn't exactly endear me to him either. I understand the PR aspects to the Job. but he has taken it to a completely different level and his Presidency IS a PR campaign as opposed to PR being just one small aspect to the job.
I thought I was wrong once....but I was mistaken...

It appears to me that Obama is grasping at shortterm straws while selling out the long term. He has added trillions in debt and for what? To save a couple points on unemployment? I'm sorry if that sounds cold because I know those percentage points are actualy people.. but it would be like me or you getting a visa card with a $20K limit and maxing it out so we aren't hungry for a month. The amount we have spent for the benefit we have received is mind boggling.
I think the healthcare bill is going to be far more expensive and destructive than most people imagine.
His response (or lack of) to the oil spill has been moronic.
In a weak economy he is going to let tax cuts expire, tax cuts that help everybody from top to bottom.. while he is claiming that jobs are a priority.. any economist knows that is a complete contradiction.
In short I think almost everything he has done has been wrong, but it's only been 18 months.. maybe he's right and I'm wrong, but I doubt it. A couple years from now we are going to be solidly coming out of this recession and he is going to take credit for it, which will be amusing.
But I believe that 20 years from now his legacy will be higher taxes, a ballooning healthcare expense with a decrease in service quality, trillions more in debt that my kids are just coming of age to figure out how to pay.. I don't see where he is making any real progress in defending us against terrorism and I don't see where he has any plans to improve our illegal immigration situation... and who knows what else he can do in the next 2 1/2 years...
He is rushing at break neck speed to turn us into what Europe was 20 years ago while Europe is now beginning to realize it isn't working.

President Obama ranks 15th out of 44 in a poll of the best and worst presidents while former President George W. Bush earns a place in the bottom five, according to the Siena College Research Institute's recent survey of 238 presidential scholars released Thursday. [See a slide show of the 10 Worst Presidents.]
IMO...it's too soon to rank Obama as he stepped into a mess and is just beginning to work on solving some of the issues. It will take "years" to see the results of Obama's actions, attempting to fix the problems he inherited and Obama's ranking will go up or down depending on the "results".
GW Bush on the other hand...what he did as President is a matter of record and the American people live with the results of his Presidency every day...though many Americans have not taken the time to analyze the damage and scope of the damage he and his administration brought upon this country.
At this time, Americans still don't have all the information concerning what Bush did as President. It will take years before some of the info is known to the public as the Bush administration classified information in the name of "national security" in an effort to keep documents from being made public.
As information becomes known, GW Bush could go lower.
