Lebron is a puss. I'm sorry, kobe would've never done this. Neither would Jordan.
The nba is so crooked with the higher salary cap. It will take me a few season to watch the cavs again. I'd rather watch the indians, and that cheapskate dolan. Unless the cavs get lucky and win another lottery, they're done. they will never win a championship.

It's part of the reason why they'll never surpass the NFL in america. Sure the NFL has flaws in it. However at least you have a chance. The fate of the team can't be decided by 1 player unlike the NBA. It also has fair contracts and cap room for smaller market teams unlike MLB. Once the rookie contracts are installed the NFL will be set.

our only hope would be to build a team like the pistons. they didn't have a superstar, but a collection of guys that were good, and enjoyed playing together. It's just so hard to build a team hoping to win the lottery. Say you win the lottery, what if they're no superstars in the draft?? We would need to be incredibly lucky like we were when we landed James. The odds will be stacked against gilbert if this goes down.

LeBron Favre. I want him to stay in town. Suspect that may not happen. Good news is BSPN has him packed and in Miami. I just want the universe of me sideshow to end. I will not be tracking him elsewhereif he leaves. Casual about roundball as it is.

I sure hope you'r right. I think Cleveland is his best choice and he knows that.
If he did leave for Chicago............and now with Booooozer..........Wow would I hate the Bulls even more than ever.
Am I stupid for holding out hope that he still picks Cleveland tonight?
And I'd root like hell for the Bulls w/ Boozer if it were them against LeBron's Heat.

Like I said .....it would be one thing for him to go to a different team if he felt that he had a better chance of winning there ..... but to screw around the loyal fans in Cleveland and in his own home town via this whole process and "prime time special" would really be twisting the knife. If he does so, he can go straight to hell alongside Art Modell.

23 Jordan, MichaelMichael Jordan Miami Heat G — never played for the franchise; number retired for "contributions to basketball" this is why LeBron is changing his number. The Miami Heat retired Jordan's number. This has been in the works for a very long time. These guys are great actors.

That's what the idiots who run the NBA want you to do. Next year, you'll see New York get a couple more peices, and all of a sudden, we have the 1990's again. - The Bulls, Heat, and Knicks all vying for the East. - While people like you and I find a reason to watch with interest.
I'm listening to Mike and Mike right now, ESPN gives Cleveland absolutely no credit for what we have been able to accomplish over the last few years. - I hope Lebron knows that when he fails to win a title in Miami, ESPN will be the first network to criticize him for how he had it made in Cleveland and left for selfish reasons.

Normally I think Mike and Mike's radio show sucks, so I dont listen, but what are they saying?
"The medium for the bad news was ESPN, which figured. The network represents much of what is loud, obnoxious and empty in sports today."

You can't be serious. That's so far fetched I don't know how you could even see it to fetch it. Here's why he really changed his number, from back when it was a story at the beginning of the season. But feel free to overlook it and spout off some hair brained agenda like everyone else is doing. Who needs facts, right? http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4650907

Windy was on. He talked about how Lebron had made a comment about "how people in Cleveland don't appreciate him".
He also talked about how Modell has said that he knew that there would be a backlash against him ..... but he had no idea that it would be as huge as it was. He said that Lebron could literally never go home again, and he (Windy) doesn't know if Lebron understands that.

You believe what you want to believe. Then why not retire Bill Russel's number "6" or Wilt Chamberlain's "13". During that Heat vs. Cavs game, I remember this running thru my mind if Pat Riley had talks with LBJ because the Heat did everything they could to prepare this to happen and it is happening. It was being discussed on that telecast of that specific game. I live down in South Florida and this has been discussed ALOT down here for a long time. I was like "No way". LeBron is the King of Cleveland" That will never happen. Boy was I wrong. I always thought people down here were dilusional that this could happen.

1. lebron filed the paperwork to change his number strictly for cleveland. why? because you only need to file paperwork if you are returning to your team the next year. if you leave or get traded you are free to pick whatever number you want that is not retired. not saying he was dead set on the cavs, but he left that option open.
2. i heard windy's comment about lbj saying he spoils people in cleveland with his play. not sure if lbj was just hot that night, but does he realize that miami has had dwyane wade for 7 years and they hardly sell out? they have one of the best players in the league and last year they couldn't fill up the joint. and don't give me garbage about how his team wasn't any good considering all people do is rip the cavs for not having the cast to surround lbj
3. part of me doesn't believe this because lbj and his "team" have been so tight lipped. what they are just gonna go and tip their hand the night before? something doesn't quite add up.
i won't be watching tonight. i have hockey, and thank God for that.
regardless, i still love my cavs.

Wow, sounds like someone is desperatly trying to talk himself into leaving. Doesn't appreciate him?? BS, he was treated like a god that could do no wrong. He was given the key to all NE Ohio.

if i remember correctly, the comment actually was "i spoil people with my play"
so it wasn't necassarily talking about cavs fans, it could have been media, nba fans, etc...
cavs fans have been unbelievably good to him despite him not matching it.

I might watch something far more real and unscripted ...... like wrestling. Then again ..... maybe I'll just pop in a movie .... and tune it all out until midnight or so. I did just read an article, and the writer said, for someone concerned about image, Lebron would come off looking really bad if he did this prime time special in order to put the knife in Clevelands' collective back. I might be biased, but I agree.

If you switch teams you dont have to put in for anumber change, that doesnt make any sense.
So had he not put in for the number change, the league wouldnt let him sign with the Heat or Bulls because 23 was retired?
Eat it Phil...
