It's not what he did ..... it's the way he did it.

This was as close as a sport fanbase could get to being dragged onto the Springer show.

If you can't see why that would infuriate people, then you have no eyes, brains, or sense.

Oh ... and personally I could not care less if you "had the guts" to move. away from Ohio.

Wow ..... no one ever does that ..... you sure must be brave ......

As far as "stimulating the feeling of life" ...... I have no clue what you are talking about at all. "Feed up"?

If your sister in law disowned tyou for moving ..... then you have deeper issues in your family than your choice of address.

Wow ..... that has to be one of the stupidest posts I have ever read on any message board. I feel about 50% dumber fior having read it. You were fine with the first 3 sentences. You could have, and should have stopped there.

On the bright side, you just proved the adage: "It is better to remain silient and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt".

Dear Mr Hardcore with the Keyboard: That's a nice story but in no way compares to what LeBron did. It's not that he left, no one would begrudge him making that decision, it's the way he did it. He made a shameful public spectacle of himself humiliating his former employer on primetime TV in a prima donna act to boost his own ego. Somehow I don't think you were doing that when you left Ohio. If you were, no one probably cares. :P

I agree he did it the wrong way but he is a 25 year old adult that has been pampered since he was a teen. What did you do that was stupid at that age?

It's his life not yours!

Don't hate the player, hate the system that gave him this choice!

And who gave the boy the idea he could act like that? His Mom, his fans, people just like you. Damn if some of you would just try and walk in his shoes for one moment you may open your mind long enough to understand.

But I assure you a vindictive mind will never understand.

At 25, he has still been an adult for 7 years.

I get so sick of people blaming some nefarious system for the character failings of people.

Some people find character, grace, and class in all aspects of their life ..... and some do not. I would out James in the latter category.

Sorry but I hate the player for how he did it. Most of us Cleveland fans figured he would move on. None of us thought he would make a prime time special rubbing it in our faces.

I'm sorry but even most millionaires don't let the money and glory go to their head enough to take up a 1 hour prime time special dedicated to their ego on ESPN. If you're saying that I should walk in his shoes, sorry, my head doesn't inflate that big.

Anyway.......we can use those picks. I'm still thinking the Cavs will be alright. Not great, but ok. Jamison is a better player than he showed (I hope), and if JJ keeps developing. I like Powe and Moon as players. Maybe some of those overseas players is worth something. We do have some very tradeable assets right now, and I'm sure Gilbert will want to do something.

Let's see, I screwed up in college. I then decided that the best choice for my fiance and I's future was me joining the military. I made the decision and then spent 11 out of the 12 months before our marriage, away from my fiance and all of my family.

A year and a half after making that decision, I don't regret a single thing, even the 11 months away.

Sacrificing time from all my loved ones, and giving my life to the military for at least the next 6 years. Not sure how that compares to what LBJ did, maybe you could help me out?

Wow. Give up while you're miles behind.

If that is the part you are hung up on it is just a little thing. Get over it! The world is a stag and in today's media it's not going to change.

Jeez do you all forget the OJ trial?

I do think any team we put on the court will play better then they played with LeBron. We won't see four guys standing still for 15 seconds at a time while LeBron dribbles at the top of the key.

We will not be nearly as good as we were with him but the players will be able to mesh better.

Yeah ... that was picking out parts I liked.

Either Corpus is a 20 year old troll pretending to be an older voice of wisdom and reason to CoachB proportions (and failing horribly) ... or he is an extremely sad little man who should be acting like a mature adult, yet acts like a 20 year old with major self-confidence problems.

I can see why he's a Laker fan.

Are you kidding me Corpus? What is that like some kind of threat, that if people aren't careful you'll just punk them out with your awesome trash talk? Ooooohh yeah you're a baaaad boy!! Careful everyone, Corpus might break out his trash talk... Right dude. My guess is your some pimple ridden, out of shape, nobody. Anyone who gets off on someone elses misery, especially when there's not even any bragging rights involved for themselves, is almost always nothing but a punk and a worthless bum. Why don't you do yourself a favor Corpus and just go back to smearing lipstick on your lips while staring at the lingerie section of a Sears catalog or whatever it is you do and leave the Cleveland fans alone to vent.

This troll has been a registered user for longer than you son!

And I wish I was 20 years old, troll or not! That would mean I would still have 32 years more of knowlege in a 20 year old body. When you get there boy you will understand.

And in case you can't add that makes me 52 and more than likely old enough to be your Daddy.

I would love to walk in Leboozers shoes. If I got to wear them I would love nothing more than to put a broken city on my shoulders and bring them what they all deserved, an icon that everyone can look up to and a champion. I would live and die with a city that I was born and raised in which was full of people who loved me. I wouldn't even need $100 mil to do it. I only wish I had the talent to be able to back my words up but I don't. If I could wear his shoes though I'll promise that not only would I have stayed but I would look super awesome with size 18 feet and only being 5'10".

I guess you guys are to wet behind the ears to understand where I am coming from. OK I give up the Cav's are the greatest team in NBA history (If that is all you know about the NBA).

The funny thing about fans now a day is that if a star leaves a team he goes from King to Jester. That is were you all lose me.

LeBron is still the player he was before yesterday but the difference is he is not a Cav's player. So by that line of thought there has never been great players in the NBA like Wilt Chamberland (never a Cav) Bill Russell (never a Cav) Kareem Abdol Jabbar (never a Cav) Miichael Jordan (never a Cav) need I go on.

But on the other hand Austin Carr and Danny Ferry should be in the NBA Hall of Fame because they really deserve it.

Lebron is not the same player as many saw him as a few days ago. He used to be a player that could be as good as Kobe and entertain the idea of being close to Jordan's skill.. The problem is that today Lebron just gave up on those ideas and decided to be second fiddle and join another second fiddle to try to get a ring. He has no confidence in his own skills that he needs to join two other superstars to win. He's simply a coward and even hides behind the shadows of the Boys and Girls Club to shamelessly self-promote himself and his decision.

I'm surprised to think that you are truly a Lakers fan.. most Lakers fans I know always bad mouth Lebron and now are even claiming this as proof that LeBron will never be as good as Kobe.

As far as his legacy goes.. he will never truly be viewed as a great player that can win championships... he'll only be seen as one who needed the assistance of others or gave others championships.. He can never claim that he lead "his" team to the win because the way it stands, he needed a lot of other great players to win, if they even win a championship.

if that was the case, why is he so bitter about LeBron leaving? why would he want to give millions and millions to a "quiter"?
something to ponder.

Seriously, you didn't just ask that did you..

Love him or hate him, LBJ is an economic engine for the Cavs and the city.. it's all about the money man..

I'm not a NBA fan, but didn't the Cavs get a bunch of compensation in return?

and at the same time got rid of a primadonna that was going to leave anyway.

Don't forget everyone, the no income tax only counts for 40 some games of the season. He still has to pay taxes on all road games. Home base isn't considered, it's where you are physically working each day. So each time he plays in a state, he has to pay that states income taxes.

Veteran Cleveland Cavaliers broadcaster Joe Tait unimpressed by LeBron James' actions
Published: Saturday, July 10, 2010, 5:07 AM Updated: Saturday, July 10, 2010, 5:08 AM

Did you watch the LeBron James special?

I mostly certainly did.

Your reaction?

It was an embarrassment to everyone involved -- the league, ESPN, LeBron, everyone. Making it worse, they didn't even know it was an embarrassment.

Is that all?

How about this: It also was a culmination of six weeks of [free agent] unbridled idiocy.

What did you think James would do?

I thought he'd stay with the Cavs.

Why did he leave?

Pure ego.

Meaning?

He played here for seven years and didn't win a championship. He wants a championship now. He's got everything else. In Miami, he may or may not get it.

How did James look on TV?

Uncomfortable, not natural. I wished I was watching it with someone who knows about body language, because it seemed to me that there was something wrong.

Did it surprise you that Jim Gray put together the idea of the special, persuaded James to go along and then sold it to ESPN? Then Gray, who was paid by James, did the interview?

In that embarrassment, nothing surprises me.

What did you think of [Cavs owner] Dan Gilbert's letter?

It was great! Outstanding! He said what a lot of people felt. I understand, because I felt the same way. A lot of people did. I give him credit for saying it.

-- Terry Pluto

The body language angle is interesting. I wonder what an expert would conclude about Jame's body language?
