Let's try to get it back on track.
Does anyone know if this was a 12:00 thing (not), or a 24 hour thing for the official FA acquisition announcements? What's the latest?

Cardinals claimed CB Brandon McDonald off waivers from the Browns. This is a great pickup for the Cardinals, especially with all the question marks at cornerback after DRC. McDonald has a lot of starting experience (27 games over the past three seasons), is only 25, and will be cheap. Just don't want him coming back here playing with a chip on his shoulder. But I will agree, his play has gone down the hill this past year.

You're definitelty pushing the rules pretty badly there.
I haven't seen any officiial reports of any roster moves.
I wonder what Heckert's presser will reveal. I don't see anyone carrying it online.

No surprises there. I wouldn't be surprised if they also signed Chris Chancellor to the PS. He's a bit short, but seemed to have some ability.

Tom Heckert on the Twitter CB referred to by the Twittering Safety ...... http://cle.scout.com/2/999256.htmlAbe Elam posted on his twitter account that defensive back Quincy Butler was joining the Browns. “He’s a guy we’ve contacted,” he said. But we haven’t done anything.” So ..... I guess that the "No Twitter" policy was right. The Browns would have to confirm such a signing if it indeed had happened, and would have to let someone else go to make room for a new signee.

Not that I don't trust him ... but Im still not sure that they would disclose EVERYTHING ...
If we are in the process of shipping out a LB .. then it makes sense to keep 11 or 12. But I dont think that we would really devote 11 positions plus 1 for D'Qwells injury ..
And I also don't buy that we are okay with mike adams as our 4th corner, but thats just my thoughts ...
I still think we have 2 to 3 more changes on our 53 by gameday ...

Figures..... Well at least Asante made it threw waivers and was resigned. I was very pleased to see we also added Brian Sanford to our PS.
We still have two spots open?

If they sign him he has to be on the active 53 man roster right?

They tryin to take over the Broncos position as Cleveland west or what. Anderson, Wright and McDonald now. Things are usually goin downhill for a team when 3 or more Cleveland rejects are starting on your roster.

Wow, they must have been really unhappy with their OL and DL.
They claimed 2 of each on the final cuts. That's 1/4 of the average for an OL and 1/3 of the DL for your average 3-4 team.

...especially considering they're filling a roster spot with a project like Geathers.

Well I'm fine with the rules if thats what they are. No complaints.
However, I feel that if I do hear something ... even if it's from a source that isnt quite acceptable .. I should at least post SOMETHING about it, that way talkers who dont believe me wont have to wonder if its real or not, but fans who are interested can then go do their own research.
Not really.

Cutting BMac and Francies and Chancellor does not make ANY sense, esp. keeping bums like Veikune and Barton around instead..so all LBs suck, so let's keep them all, who needs CBs, we cover with slow LBs...yay
BMac would have been one of the best #4 CBs on any NFL roster..cutting him and instead keeping the world bester list of Ventrone, Costanzo, Sorenson, Veikune and Barton just screams of Manginitis...this idiot still has too much say (and before you start with "Heckert did it"...no, the last 3 spots are Coach's decision...for ST purposes...Holmgren said it himself)
Keeping an overachieving bum like D.Robinson over Geathers, who everybody knew needed more time to mature on and off the field, takes down 2nd prize of the Cleveland Browns stupidity awards
oh and whoever of Elam or Sorenson over Asante is 1st place btw

I have a feeling we are going to trade D'Qwell, for possibly a draft pick and a corner.
