I'm not sure if I could get behind true partisan policies. To me both sides have good ideas and bad ideas but they should both work willingly together to do what's right for the citizens of the United States of America. However, I highly doubt that's going to happen anytime soon.

I think that most of us belueve that there are certain areas where we want partisanship. When it aomes to taxes and spending, conservatives should stay to their principled beliefs, and not "go along to get along".

Monir issues .... sure ... compromise to get things done .... but the big issues should not be compromised on.

If you're just going to compromise, why have beliefs at all? Why run on a platform at all? Why say that you stand for anything at all?

There is definitely a time to compromise ..... but not on your core beliefs.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

That will never happen.

You'll always hear things like " I want lower taxes and smaller government ... er, except for the military. I want that thing to be so huge we're not even sure how much money we dump into it."

That, and there hasn't been anyone in federal government who's truly wanted smaller government since before anyone on this board was alive ... anyone that had a shot at significant power, anyway.
