Only in an emergency.. otherwise, no..

If both Delhomme and Wallace go down "in a game" then there really isn't much choice is there? But I'd do whatever I had to do to avoid it..

I agree with this 100%... no way he goes in unless our #1 and #2 both go down... I'm not sure he'll be an NFL starter... but I really like the kid. He's a hard worker, seems to be pretty smart, and is an overall good guy.... with that said, I'm not sure he has the tools to be a NFL starter, but I'll trust that big Mike made a good decision on a QB that'll be able to at least be a back-up for us.

With the way we're going if we're drafting next year and Luck (from Stanford) is sitting there, I'm guessing we pick him in a second!

1.) I believe Colt McCoy will have a legitimate chance to prove he can be a starting QB in the NFL, but can he do that right now? No. He just isn't as physically developed yet.

If anyone looks at McCoy when he was a Freshmen, he was under developed physically and put on 20-25 Pounds of Muscle. My guess is, that he is doing the same this season also. McCoy has the tangibles, now he needs the frame and experience to get it together. Holgremn doesn't want to play a Rookie QB, then tell me one person on this forum that has more experience, knowledge of football and respect then Holgremn has right now? That's easy, none of us have that.

2.) We are NO WHERE EVEN CLOSE to waving the white flag as you suggest just to see what McCoy has. 1-3 in 4 close competitive games does not scream (put in the 3rd String QB).

Lots of wolves in the NFL forest; I am talking about his inability to see and FEEL pressure. He did a bunch of scrambling and avoided pressure. If he has to take two or more sacks a game, I think the wolves win and he would not finish the season. No guarantees for either of us in this supposal. Just kind of resented the observation in light of this line and the pressure many teams can bring. Wallace is better at pressure avoiding due to experience Colt Mc Boy lacks.
