Man, Rondo is playing out of his mind this season. I mean, he's only averaging 18 assists per 48 minutes and 15.5 per game. I used to hate him but I have to respect a guy who's that good.

I like him a lot. I really wanted us to trade for him a few years ago when rumors had the Celtics looking to move him. When we had Bron, I always felt a great passing pg would take us to the top. Of course, that was assuming our guy wouldn't quit in the playoffs.

a healthy cp3 > rondo
i would take rose over both though.
rondo's good, but it kinda helps having 3 hall of famers on the floor with you. rose has nobody to pass to, and cp3 barely has anyone to pass to.

CP3 is a man you can go to in the clutch. Rondo gives the ball to ray allen or pierce to close out games.

Alright, great comeback after another bad 3rd quarter. Record is back to .500, and in 4th place in the East (1st in the Central).

W#e're in 1st in the Central, and Miami is in 3rd in the Southeast. Too bad it can't stay that way for the rest of the year.

Eh, its not the most unrealistic thing out there. Cavs could win the Central, and though I think Miami finishes ahead of Atlanta (but behind Orlando) in the Southeast, Atlanta is still a very good team and finishing first or second isn't beyond the realm of possibility for them.

Yep but isnt funny how just a couple of games ago people were right in this thread saying they were ready to tune out on the Cavs after they had lost a couple in a row?
We got some new faces and a new coach, with a new system. There are going to be some growing pains but we are not a bad team. Maybe we dont have that one mega star but we have a very deep team of talented guys. I am kind of happy Lebron is gone now.

I was one that said I was about ready to be done with them if they didn't change the attitude they had. I'm glad it seems that they have. Those three games in a row that they lost just looked hapless and apathetic. These two road wins have shown grit and determination. Whereas during the losses, once they blew a big lead and got in a hole they weren't able to get out of it, the past two games they buckled down and tightened up and overcame the adversity. That's exactly what I was hoping to see out of this team. I said earlier on that I thought the difference between this team and the true bad teams of the NBA is that the Cavs will play as a unit, not five individuals. They showed that to be the case in these last two games. Now I just want the defense to improve, because they've shown that they can score a ton of points on offense.

I just think, that at this point, they're better than the "scrub" teams ofthe league. The best of the worst I guess. IMO, they should beat Philly and Washington - maybe not in a year or so as they both seem to be on the way back - but right now.
I think the Boston game was the perfect circumstance for them and they did what they should do in that case - win... but it's not going to be that way the majority of the time. So, win against the bottom feeders that you're better than - steal a few against the "good" teams and it is what it is; 30-40 wins. Anything better than that is cake to me.

ESPN's web writers noticed this ... If the playoffs started today, #4 Cleveland would host #5 Miami.

I think the Lakers will crush the heat. I've watched the Heat play this year and I watch the Lakers play every night, LA has looked way better. Oh yeah Andrew Bynum hasn’t even played in 1 game so far.
If I were a Heat fan I would hope that Bynum’s not healthy, because if he is the Heat don’t stand a chance in a 7 game series. The Lakers are just way too big. I mean they might win 2 games, but they’re not going to win 4.

think it might be a bit early for such prognostications. I mean the Lakers team better look better now or they would be toast. they have been together for years. the Heat have been together for a month (a couple weeks of real games).

i've been impressed with miami's defense, but i agree, assuming things stay as they are, the heat can't match up with the size of the lakers. pau gasol will eat chris bosh alive, and who goes up against bynum? z?
would be a fun series to watch though. i'd be glued to the set.

Yeah that's not even including the matchup of Kobe vs Wade. That would be an even matchup. Artest and Barnes could slow Lebron down.
Scary thought though. Kendrick Perkins should be a free agent after this year. If the Heat sign him to the MLE it's game over for the rest of the NBA.

if there even is a MLE (and now you have me hoping there won't be)

And in the previous three games before this three-game road win streak, they looked horrendous, not just in performance but in body language and attitude. Total 180, which to me indicates that the ability was there all along, they just weren't playing up to potential. They've won games by scoring 120 points and they've won games by locking down on the defensive end. 4-3, first place in the Central...not gonna complain! (plus watching Miami crap away a 22 point lead to get beat in overtime is pretty entertaining, too )

To show you how bad the 3 stooges supporting cast is:
Lepippen had a tripple double Bosh almost had a double-double D-Wade scored 39 points
and they lost....

Those kinds of losses are what will do them in. Can you imagine lebron in the locker room: "What should I do?"
We're trying to throw the ball downfield and he checked the ball down to Trent Richardson and the Indians on the choice.

One can only hope.
I just find it funny that some writer picked us to win something like 11 games .... and 7 games in we already have 4 ...... lol
It was nice to see Jamison have a good game tonight.

LOLOL
Everytime I watch these Cavs, and watch the Douche putting up his worst statistical season since his rookie year, I can't help but think how amazing this team would be if he was a decent human being open to coaching and decided to stay. One of the biggest disappointments ever, that guy.

Depends very much on why/how they lose. We can discuss that when it happens. Tonight we're going for our fifth straight victory.

Got to listen to the game last night on the internet. I've been really impressed with Gibson and how he fits in this system. Still wondering why Powe isn't seeing the floor, has there been a set back with his knee?

Yeah, up by 11 to an 8 point loss sucks.
It's still early though, and I'm sure that Scott is still getting everyone on the same page.

the Cavs apparently don't like the 'Q"
how is our team good on the road and bad at home? it's early, but it's definitely a trend (right down to splitting the home-n-home by winning the away game)

lulz on 5-4 Miami getting beat wire-to-wire at home by Boston. Jeff Van Gundy prediction #2 down the drain.

Bosh is freaking terrible for them. It's been only Wade and Lepippen. They will get steam rolled against a team with size.
