Maxed out the trophies on this game last night. Overall I thought it was pretty fun. Didn't really lose anything for me from the first one, but wasn't a whole lot more innovative. Still a good game in it's own right.

I had to look up how to do "The Legend of the Star." Figured it had to do with those star bottlecaps and probably something to do with the sunset sasparilla factory but I had been in there so many times and couldn't figure out how to trigger it. I just never saw that one thing you have to see. Oh well, back to RDR for me.

Yeah, I had considered doing that same thing. Will it have a GOTY edition? Does it have to win GOTY to do that? I didn't wait b/c it was $20 off on Black Friday and I had a $25 gift card I'd had since Christmas 2009 and walked out of the store for twenty bucks.

They've already got the first set of expansion trophies attached to the game when you compare your trophies to someone else's online.

I havent played my lv 15 bad chick in a few weeks but got back into Quake Live :P

I have this game for my ps3 and it seems like every time I play it it freezes up at some point. I have had it freeze on me at least 20 times. It is really annoying and kinda sux since it is such a great game.

I am wondering if this is a problem with the game in general or is it b/c I bought a used copy at gamestop. Not sure--anyone else have a ps3 version of this game with lots of freezes. Another problem I had is my companions killing key people in the game so I can't complete certain missions b/c my idiot companions just start shooting at ppl for no good reason.

Thas pretty lame too. I have like 3 missions that are at a standstill because my companions killed one of the characters I was supposed to see.

nah, it's not your system at all. it's just the game.

fallout 3 was like that too. great game, bethesda does great work but it's their one bad quality, with these console games you are going to have those bugs. i am sure a patch will be out though.

that's why whenever i play fallout 3 (haven't played NV yet) i save constantly. every 20-25 minutes at least.

have you played borderlands? kind of a "if you like fallout, youll like this" deal. not as deep as fallout, but it's more about shooting and pimping out your guns. there are literally thousands of variations of guns. it's a phenomenal game that has flown under the radar for 2 years. doesn't get half the run it should get.

These issuses don't seem to be as prevalent on the 360.

I had the same problem. I got this advice from KOB in the ES5 thread. It definitely reduced the frequency of the freezes and made the game playable, but I still occasionally had freezes.

when your playing ES4, FO3 or FONV when you QUIT THE GAME make sure you Save first and then you must QUIT TO THE MAIN MENU. Once you quit to the main menu, hit the ps button and quit game.

this will cause the PS3 to dump that cache file...if you don't exit those games in that manner, the cache file does not get dumped from the previous play and it causes problems.

I was going to get Fallout New Vegas, but I wanted to play Fallout 3 first. I have had Fallout 3 for months...never really got around to playing it. i played it here and there a few times, but it just never held my interest.

I forced myself to play Fallout 3 for the last 5 days....and i give up....I just can't get into the game. I dunno what it is...i just can't.

now i may be biased, and i may be spoiled by The Elder Scrolls Series (which i have played then all dating back to Arena and Daggerfall)

Fallout 3 feels a lot like Oblivion, the controls are good, the graphics are good, the mecanics are very similar...I just can't get into the story and the whole post-apocalyptic setting...its just not doing it for me.

Perhaps if i had played Fallout 1st I would feel different(I probably would)

I am not knocking Fallout 3 or New Vegas....I can totally understand why they are seen as great games....its just not my type of game thats all.

i have found myself more and more getting into platformers...God of War Series, Heavenly Sword, Darksiders, Dantes Inferno, Infamous, Assasins Creed....im really liking them.

I am planning on going through the Prince of Persia games here in the next few weeks to tie me over until Resistance 3 comes out....Resistance 3 will tie me over till the Elder Scrolls V comes out...

I am really hoping though that Dante's Inferno and Darkisiders gets a sequel...the ending to Darksiders was EPIC!

Heavenly Sword was just awesome...too bad there won't be a sequel for it though....they didn't leave room for one...I will say however...I really think Nariko could kick Kratos butt from God of War...the chic is just flatout insane....the game plays like something out of a Bruce Lee movie...seeing her counter a guy. flip him over, put him in an armbar and then snap his neck between her legs is something of beauty!

if you haven't played heavenly sword...i suggest it big time...Nariko is not only beautiful and hot for a video game chic....she is just badarse all the way around!

Fallout 2 is still BAR NONE my favorite Fallout title and overall RPG. FO1 and FO2 are NOTHING like 3 and NV so bear that in mind. They are 2D Iso top down RPGs. You can pick them up on steam real cheap.

Fallout 2 you could play the game however you wanted. You could become a slaver and even sell NPCs in your party to slavery, or you could convince the slavers to become better people and stop slaving. You could become a porn star, top selling boxer, a mafioso even. run protection for caravans. And it was a caricature of post apocalyptic life. FO3 was almost depressing, too real IMO. New Vegas is done by the guys who did FO1/FO2 so its definitely more colorful.
