Whether you are from the right or left, exercise your rights as an American and vote!

If you don't vote, you can't complain. That's the way I approach it.

So go do it!

I'm leaving to vote in a few mins. I am seriously upset at the two clowns running for governor. Both know that we need to set a budget that will address what amounts to be a HUGE shortfall ( 8 Bill was the amount I heard ) and neither one of them had the nads to tell me specifics on what they are going to do.. what they are going to cut and how they plan to raise revenue.

I'm interested in being an educated voter, but these jackasses think I'm a sheep and they tell me "Vote for me, I'll fix it" and they think I'll just follow along.

Bah...

agreed! I am not voting for any of these people....this time around..no choice is better than "a choice"...I would rather lower my head and run into a brick wall a few times before I would vote for any of these clowns that are on the ballot....this has to be the worst choices I have ever seen in any election in the last 20+ years..

I will have no part in putting any of these people in their...I wash my hands of this madness...

Because most people ARE sheep. And, most will believe all those stupid political ads they see on tv and vote from them. Sad, sad, sad that WE THE PEOPLE are so terribly under-informed. And, even more sad is that it's at our own hand.

I loved how he answered just about any question about "how" he would do stuff was pretty much "Don't worry about it".

From what I understand, someone is selling a doll in his likeness .... that talks.

That's one angry man.

I"m not sure if he's really talking about the rent as a metaphor for the cost of governent, taxes or sloth? or maybe it's not a metaphor, maybe, his rent is just too damn high

What's scary is that he's not the only one. A serious candidate in Nevada, Angle, told reporters the same damn thing the other day when asked how she would approach a specific problem.. "Just elect me and I'll tell you later" was her response. ( I don't remember the question but it doesn't matter)

THey must really hate Harry out there if this lady is leading him in the polls

So, I requested an absentee ballot and never returned it. I'm going to drop it off at my local board of elections and HOPE they count it.

They sent me a card i n the mail telling me where to vote. Problem was it was the wrong place. There was no voting where they sent me.

I think the man (Mahoning County Board of Elections) is trying to suppress my vote.

I noticed there are many third party candidates were on the ballot. We had a socialist, Constitutional Party and a few Libertarians.

I had Lots of Libertarians to choose from, that was a nice change of pace. There were also Socialists and Green Party candidates as well. Frankly, it was refreshing to see so many "third party" candidates out there. Doesn't mean I voted for them, just liked having OPTIONS above and beyond the usual

My mom requested an absentee ballot about 4 weeks ago.

They finally sent it yesterday.

So .... now she has to fill it out and take it down to the Board of Elections so she can make sure (or at least as sure as is possible) that her vote is counted.

I sent in my absentee application weeks ago and got my ballot about 5 days later. I've never had all the problems that so many people seem to have.

Maybe it's because I always send cash with my application.

Next year I guess I'll have to have her write "I vote straight line Democrat" on the outside of her ballot request envelope.

Maybe that will get it to her on time.

I went down to the Board of Elections and voted early ... so my voting is done ..... since I can only vote once. (Unlike people in some parts of the country)

I got a call from a union yesterday.

I kept asking the guy question after question .... and kept him on the phone for almost half an hour. Then I told him that I had already voted.

He hung up on me. Can you believe that?

Maybe that will get me on a "Man don't call this &&^%$&()^%$# ever again!" list?

wait a second, you're in Youngstown. I thought all people in Youngstown had at least 3 votes.

Or is that only if you are in a union?

I almost responded with the same comment!

I think it has more to do with our Board of Elections. They seem pretty inept to me.

It's only if you are in a union, and have your ballots filled out at your local union hall. If you follow the rules you can get up to 10 ballots ..... plus 3 each for dead relatives who passed within the past decade.

After that decade passes though ..... NO extentions! We have to make things fair. More than 10 years in the ground and you simply cannot vote anymore.

I think we have been giving a wrong impression of Mahoning County voting. We usually have a choice on ballots. We have Democrats, and we have Democrats who run as independents since the Democrat is either indicted or on there way to jail.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure it's counter-balanced by the number of minorities who would vote Democratic being intimidated by Republicans on their way to the polls.

I still need to vote. But I will vote when I go back to my polling place. I'm actually working there this time for the first time. It's been pretty interesting.. It's been decently busy so far. I'm on my lunch right now.. Need to had back soon..

One thing I have noticed was a few people had fliers with them that are directing them how to vote.
