Ya, Shep only got some very faint booing just once in the parking lot when we went to the game here. I think he was kinda disappointed.

When Shep took me a couple years ago I didn't have any problems at all. I just got booed some. And there was the one drunk guy in front of us who kept on turning around and calling me a bitch.

I was pleasantly surprised.

Since he "kept" calling you that, it seems to me that your Browns fan husband didn't have the courage to step in and defend you. Please say it isn't so!!

My son and I went to the Browns-Steelers game in '06. We hung out at DTI. Cold and rainy day but the experience was great and the DT'ers were exceptional. I don't remember anything all too bad there at that time. We were allowed in much earlier than they are now. Hoop served up a super breakfast, Peen brought boiled peanuts which I thought were gross... until I tried them. Even in the cold and rain it was a great experience. Lots of nuts but nothing overboard.

People in Steelers attire got booed and heckled but it seemed all in good fun.

But the stadium experience was another matter. We had our obligatory couple of drunken know-it-alls in the area who screamed and bitched about every play. The one was so oblivious to the game that once when we made a 1st down he was standing up shouting obscenities and how stupid RAC was to call that play. He didn't even realize that RAC didn't call offensive plays or that we just got a 1st down. He was finally escorted out after he threw a full cup of beer toward the field, from the second level, in protest of a play. His buddy was a lamb after that incident.

People like this don't come for the game, they come for the party. It's an excuse to get ridiculously drunk and behave as they damn well please as their "right" for having bought a ticket. It ruins the game for anyone anywhere near them and there's way too much of it for my liking. I don't remember ever having gone to a game where this was not the case.

I have no desire to return. If I can't get into a loge, and I can't, I'll watch on TV.

This season my son (Browns fan) and his girlfriend (Steelers fan) went to the Falcons game. In fear of the worst she wore Browns gear.
