There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

You just go and lay your hand on a Pittsburgh Steeler fan and I think you're gonna finally understand. - Song Lyrics to "In America" by Steeler fan Charlie Daniels
The whole point of that lyric is that Americans don't always like each other but we will defend each other against somebody from the outside... so the point is that Steeler fans need other people to take up for them when they get picked on... congratulations on that.
And this is from an interview...
Quote:
SF: And a Pittsburgh Steelers fan? The line, “Lay your hand on a Pittsburgh Steelers fan…”
Charlie: Yeah, I’ve gone to ball games at different places, but I’ve always felt the Pittsburgh Steelers fans, especially in the old stadium, they were just… I used to go do the National Anthem there sometimes. I mean, they’re steel workers and they’re good old guys with blisters, or calluses on their hands. The salt of the earth, the finest, just the greatest people, the strength of America. The strength of America is not in Washington, D.C. It’s in our people, it’s on the farms, in the factories. It’s the people out here that make this country work. The truck drivers, the farmers.
Sounds like a real die-hard fan... of blue collar people.
But then he says this....
Quote:
SF: Okay. I absolutely agree with you. I don’t know about Pittsburgh Steelers, but San Diego Chargers, boy, we’re just like that.
Charlie: There you go. We’re gonna steal LaDanian Tomlinson from you. We’re gonna come get him and bring him to Nashville, and dare you all to come here.
SF: For LaDanian we just might come.
Charlie: We’re needing a running back pretty bad over here.
SF: He’s something.
Charlie: He is. I tell you what, I’ve never seen anything like him. I have so much enjoyed watching him play.
Looks to me like he says "We" in a way that he associates with the Tennessee Titans a lot more than he does the Pittsburgh Steelers..

Oh and heres the linky dinky doo

Good post DC. , but you way off base with your assumptions.
He's probably from Tennesse, so what do you expect? But he says Steeler fans in his song, not Titan or Brown fans.
As a Steeler fan he would hardly say "Steeler fans need other people to take up for them when they get picked on" as you put it.
Hopefully your example of a good smack post will rub off on the 2 or 3 other Clowns that have been making themselves look quite foolish....and you know who you are Harley...

First of all, Charlie Daniels uses "we" because he is a Steeler fan.
So, when he said "We're gonna come and get him and bring him to NASHVILLE" Charlie Daniels was talking about Pittsburgh???
You may want to get Mommy and your Uncle-Dad to check into putting you in a new school system. You know, one that has maps.

Like the Cleveland school system? Good post Babe! Please stick around.
And I must say you got me there! Charlie is still a Steeler fan however.

BTW, I wouldn't know about the Cleveland school system, never spent a day there. But my hubs went through them and he's pretty damn smart - he married me, he's got to be a genius, just based on that alone! LOL!

Ummm..I already inferred that a few posts back about you and the other 2 clowns. Truly you are incapable of original thought.
"Plagiarism is defined in dictionaries as "the wrongful appropriation, close imitation, or purloining and publication, of another author's language."
I was gonna ask if you plagiarized much in high school, but I'm guessing you dropped out around the 6th grade. Am I close?

He's not a Steeler fan, he's a Titans fan.. he says Steelers because of the blue collar image and their national reputation...
I don't really care who he roots for, but in your sig you say he's a Steelers fan, and he's not.

It's almost nine in the morning and still no posts from our resident stoolers fan. This has to be some type of record.

I hate the game today. Just hate it.

I always cheer for a whole in the earth to open up and swallow the stadium in these situations. Hasn't happened yet though.

I hear ya. I've tried that cheer for so long that I've given up. I'll do what I always do in situations like this...root for the D.
