And to answer your question as I said there is a DIFFERENCE between high fiving firing and high fiving when someone dies. Even when you are high fiving that you were right and not the fact that they actually died
Yes there is a difference, it's a matter of degree... one is rather classless and the other is REALLY classless..

TBH, I seldom if ever watch ESPN so I don't care what they do. But in a world where manners and etiquette are becoming rare traits for many, I would expect more professionalism from national television show hosts. If I was the producer there would be some serious professionalism training going on. The whole channel could use it.
The days of true journalists/reporters seem to be gone (ie: Walter Cronkite, Barbara Walters, Diane Sawyer, Dan Rather, etc)
We don't have to agree with each other, to respect each others opinion.

This is totally classless and unprofessional... no two ways about it.
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

You should have the right to your opinion but whether someone high fives someone over someone getting fired shouldn't upset people so much
Sorry, I hope the best for people and tend to feel bad for them when they fail, especially when its obvious that what they were trying to accomplish meant a lot to them.... I have hired and fired and firing people is never easy even if you know deep down it's the only thing left to do because all other things have been tried...
The opinion that he has enough money so it doesn't matter is just another step in the class warfare game... who cares if bad things happen to rich people, they can afford to not have feelings.

But the difference in my opinion and yours is
I see the ESPN video think no more about it till I see it on here. Other people get caught up in it and complain about it being classless.
If it doesn't effect you personally why even give it a second thought.
another example : having prayer removed from school most likely was started by someone that didn't even have someone in school but they stuck their nose in and ruined it for everyone else. I know this is way out in left field but just an example of someone worrying about something better left alone.
maybe it was classless on the high fiving but again who cares. how does it effect your life that they did that on air.

Because certain type of people let certain things effect them in different ways...
The same way after a loss some people come on here saying "That sucked" and others need suicide prevention...
People are different, and see things differently, the only thing I can say for you, is the sooner you except that, the easier it'll be for you...
People won't change, you can either alter yourself to fit them, or live with having conversations like this...
Am I the only one that pronounces hyperbole "Hyper-bowl" instead of "hy-per-bo-le"?

The reason I said I don't feel sorry for him because he has money is because in their apology they said he has a family and there is a persons life at stake. Other then he may of liked this job, I'm sure he will land on his feet elsewhere. But losing a job where hardship because of money is alot different than whether someone has feelings

I think you think these kind of people bother me. I just said I don't understand it. I totally fine with myself and my beliefs. anyhow it was nice talking with everyone here. got to go got things to do. No hard feeling with anyone i hope.
Go Browns: waiting for next year.

I believe you don't have a friggin clue what they were talking about...obviously they had something going on with people not on camera.
Then that's where they should have kept it... not on camera.
It was classless and unprofessional. And you can't use your "you feel that way because you are still pissed that Mangini was fired" crap on me because if you read any of my posts in the past two weeks you will easily see that I don't fit into that group.
Taking glee over some else's demise, (whatever it is and for what ever reason that's behind it), in public, in front of millions of viewers it totally classless and only someone else who is totally classless would defend it no matter what reason they use.
It was BS, unprofessional, classless and sportscasters have been fired for less. But it will go unpunished. Not because it was ok to do it but because this is Mangini and this is the Cleveland Browns.
You're the one who doesn't have a friggin' clue because they were making fun of you too, Browns fan, and you were too "friggin" clueless to even see that.
If for no other reason than being a Browns fan that action should have disappointed you greatly.

@ Spergon FTWynn I agree with every bit and well said. Money aside Coach Mangini has a passion for the game which includes very specific ideas of who and how it's played, Our organization was well served by him. Quote:
i wish him the absolute best wherever he goes. class guy in my book.
Again, ditto.
Screw ESPN.

I agree. I don't think anyone questioned Mangini's effort and passion for the game. He did his absolute best to turn this team around and I think the Browns are better off for having him here. No one should be mocking him or celebrating his misfortune. Hannah Storm isn't all that and I could just imagine the whining and crying if she were to be canned and people were high fiving.
