And, just as an FYI folks...these changes only affect the kids born in 2009 or later. So, I'm still a Libra and not a Virgo etc.
And it also only affects those that follow sidereal astrology as opposed to western astrology. Those in the US that follow astrology are the VAST majority of the time, following the western philosophy.
I read a blog/message board post about this. Sounds like someone didn't do enough research before going wide with this story as Sidereal astrology has always been set up for the planets realigning and with a 13th sign.

Oh thank goodness!

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Oh I believe it.
People go nuts over all kinds of stupid stuff ..... and the horoscope is no different.
I love the way they are written too ...... so generalized that no matter what happens thay can be covered one way or another.
It reminds me of the "psychic" I saw several years ago who went over how he managed to be "psychic". He watched the crowd for receptive faces ..... used generalizations and common events/names, etc., and had people convinced that he could read their minds.

I went from Leo to Cancer.
I'm not at all sure what that means except that now I appear to have the crabs and can't roar about it.
You always struck me as a cancer.

".. and you're to blame. You give love .... a bad name"?

Just clicking For those that want an astronomer's take on this, and the astronomical reasoning behind the Minnesota people, you can check out phil plait's blog. But you know what this means right? That due to the constant change of the earth's axis as well as the position of the surrounding star formations, astrology can be nothing but bunk beliefs.

Wow and right up until this I thought astrology was real...
Could it also mean that this constant change in the axis and position of star formations that this could impact other things like the various microwaves and what not that hit the earth, the magnetic fields that impact the earth, all sorts of things that impact the earth if all of this change is going on.. heck something like that could almost impact the weather.

Also, I'm pretty sure Al Qaeda had something to do with this. And possibly the cast of TV's "The Bachelor."
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

Well, duh - that can't be the reason for global warming.......that'd be too simple, and science would miss out on billions of dollars.
This is a neat little article to read: http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelookout...nter-superstorm
I won't post the whole article - just a few, precious excerpts from "100 top scientists and experts".
Here goes:
"A group of more than 100 scientists and experts say in a new report that California faces the risk of a massive "superstorm" that could flood a quarter of the state's homes and cause $300 billion to $400 billion in damage. Researchers point out that the potential scale of destruction in this storm scenario is four or five times the amount of damage that could be wrought by a major earthquake."
"The risk is gathering momentum now, scientists say, due to rising temperatures in the atmosphere, which has generally made weather patterns more volatile"
"The scientists built a model that showed a storm could last for more than 40 days and dump 10 feet of water on the state."
"Winds could reach 125 miles per hour, and landslides could compound the damage, the report notes."
"Such a superstorm is hypothetical but not improbable, climate researchers warn. "We think this event happens once every 100 or 200 years or so"
That's it in a nut shell.
Let's rehash: First paragraph lists all the damage that MIGHT occur if this happens, and it's backed up by over 100 top scientists and experts. That really draws the reader in, doesn't it?
Second paragraph: Direct link to global warming - doesn't everything have a direct link to global warming nowadays? (I'll give them credit, they didn't say "man made" global warming at least.)
3rd paragraph: The scientists "built a model" that shows a storm could last for 40 days, etc. Well, that's a hell of a model they built. And interestingly, it goes right along with what they wanted.........gee.
4th paragraph: Winds "could" reach....."landslides "could".....
5th paragraph: It's hypothetical, but they think it might maybe could happen at some time.
Bet all they need is more money to find out.

and this prediction comes just a couple weeks after major floods hit Australia.... hmmmmmmm think they might be trying to play on peoples fears of the images they saw on the news?
Plus, if you google worst floods in California and go to wikipedia, you will see that most of the worst floods in California's history have been in December through March... so now any good size flood will be connected and wiki spells out 10 of these bad floods since 1990... so its inevitable that we will have them... \\

Well, it was more of a general statement because some people do believe it and plan their lives accordingly. This is just well known evidence and fact supporting the idea that none of it has any bearing on who we are or what happens to us.

If you're talking about cosmic weather from stars other than our own, you forget that we're protected from things like stray radiation and magnetic interferences by the heliosphere. It's a testable theory though. Much like the theory of evolution, climate change, etc. that you might want this thread to devolve into.
