I wonder if Bernie Kosar would rather have played his entire career in Cleveland and never won a ring ..... or if he is happy that he won a ring, even though he had to go elsewhere as a backup? (even though he did contribute)
and technically Kosar was the superbowl winning QB. he was the one who took the knee to end the game

Bernie has the true heart of a Youngstown Browns fan. My bet is he would have loved to have been allowed to stay.

Marino can walk around knowing he is one of the best of All-Time.
To me that's just as good as a championship.
Again, the name "Marino" is synonymous with "never won the big one". Go ask Barkley, Malone, Stockton, Tony Gwynn, Barry Sanders, and countless others how much of their records or stats they'd give back for one title. I'd bet most would choose to raise a title banner.
You play to win the game not accumulate stats.
I don't dislike Dilfer as much as the others on this board...and actually, I don't like Marino as much as other on this board too. So maybe that's polluting the waters a bit when thinking about this question. However, being a Clevelander and carrying around the monkey on our backs of NEVER have a winner, I'd choose a title. I wouldn't care about playing well or even really, really great. I want to win, just one. They can never take that away from you (well, unless you're in college football).
“...Iguodala to Curry, back to Iguodala, up for the layup! Oh! Blocked by James! LeBron James with the rejection!”
