Well, to be fair, the Vader one did play before the Super Bowl so it wasn't it's premier last night.

Did it play? I thought I saw it posted here but I didn't see it on tv.

Wasn't on TV until last night. It was posted to the internet last week (roughly).

I honestly can't believe nobody has converged on the Groupon commercial mocking the plight of the people of Tibet.... I thought that was in extremely poor taste.

it was, but I will admit that I laughed (I tend to like dark humor though)

the Vader Jr. one was the best. hilarious because of the kids reaction was perfect and because it's exactly what alot of dads would do.

my boys liked the Pepsi-Max commercials the best. anything where people are getting hit in the groin or getting knocked over makes them literally

He's never seen "Star Wars," but Max Page has become famous as a pint-sized version of its villainous Darth Vader.

The 6-year-old actor is the star of one of the Super Bowl's most talked about commercials. In the ad for the new 2012 Volkswagen Passat, he tries, without success, to use "The Force" to affect an array of household items - and even the family dog.

Page, who has appeared in a few regional commercials and has a role on "The Young and the Restless," didn't know when he snagged the part that it would be for the Super Bowl.

"It wasn't until halfway through the first day of filming" that we found out, his mother, Jennifer, said on NBC's "Today" show on Monday. "We were just thrilled. We thought it was his first national commercial."

"He took directions so well," Tim Ellis, Volkswagen of America's vice president for marketing, told USA Today. "As we were filming it, I could see it was going to be iconic."

The Vader commercial debuted online last week, and has since scored more than 15 million views. The response has been "overwhelming," Page's mom said.

"I can't even keep up with the messages and the calls," Jennifer said.

Page, who could easily have also played a young Anakin Skywalker (before his transformaton into Darth Vader) with his blonde locks and bright blue eyes, was born with a congenital heart condition.

When he was only 4-months-old he had a pacemaker installed. But doctor's say his prognosis has remained good.

"He can essentially have normal activity and with careful care, a full life is a reasonable expectation," Michael Silka, head of the cardiology department at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, told The Associated Press.

"He's a real inspiration," Jennifer Page said of her son.

Not exactly true. I've seen it twice in the past week on TV. I can't remember the shows offhand.

I'm guessing you saw it on shows that were previewing SB ads. VW said they released it online last week, but not tv until last night.

I think it's a great commercial so I gotta post it.

It's done so well. You get drawn in to the boy and want to see him succeed at his quest of using the force.

Probably the best of the bunch this year. Overall the showings were poor I thought though.

Chrysler had the best one.

The new Chrysler ad campaign is really inspiring. In addition to the one last night, there was one put out a week ago or so (or at least that's when I first saw it) that started off "Whatever happened to style..." Incredible.

Is it really any more ridiculous than the idea that the military aircraft we have now would stand a chance against a civilization that has the technology to make a station the size of Milwaukee that could hover over any number of our own cities?

I really want to see cowboys and aliens.

I LOVE THAT COMMERCIAL.

The only negative about the Chrysler commercial is that Eminem was driving a 200, which is much improved, but still has a ton of warts because it's based on the pathetic Sebring. Would have been much better if Em was driving the new 300, which is totally worthy of such marketing.

Chrysler is on their way back. LOVE the new 300!

You're on a 1st syllable basis with him?

But I have to know. Is the "fit and finish" on the 200 up to par with today's standards.

No. It's a quantum leap over the partial birth abortion known as the Sebring, but the 200 is nowhere near competitive in the midsize segment.

Now, the 300? Different story. Beautiful car.

I did too.

My fave was the Eminem one for Lipton Brisk. (I dug their one a number of years back with the claymation Rocky characters, too.)

Thought it was good until some of the bad language got through.... which overall I thought some of the language and sexual content of the commericals were not child friendly which is not cool....

j/c...

I thought Volkswagen and Teleflora knocked it out of the park.

Doritos was abysmal as were the Chrysler ones. Just horrendous.

No, it was during a show....might have been Bones on Fox. Perhaps they accidentally ran it early? I only know this for sure since I re-wound it for my wife to see it and we thought it was odd that they didn't save it for the Super Bowl.

I know that I saw it before the Super Bowl. Maybe it was on a news show or something? I don;t watch a whole lot of TV, and it kinda stuck out to me, whenever it was on.

I also liked what I think was the Hyundai Sonata commercial where they talked about what if we had settled for the first inventions. I thought that one was clever because they showed people using this ancient equipment and suddenly the Sonata busts through.

I love when the car starts. His reaction is pretty authentic-looking.

I would have done the same thing.

Jumped back, then looked around like "what the heck!!!"
