As far as Milo - the cat that was meowing - that woke me up originally - she's fixed -so she wasn't in heat.

She was also as far from any window or door as you can be in our house, so I don't think there was anything outside. In fact, when I checked the garage, Sammy (the outside cat) was sleeping - had there been anything going on outside, he'd have heard it. He's like a watchdog - but in the feline way.

And, again - I never saw anything. What happened with me was the cat meowing - me hearing noises in the house - and me checking it out. After finding/seeing nothing, I went back to bed although I didn't sleep very well.

In the morning, I never really gave it a second thought. Until my daughter - out of the blue - told me her dream. That's when I started trying to put 2 and 2 together so to speak.

She's had dreams before - good or bad - and sometimes she tries to tell me about them. But normally she goes on and on and on, with no details. This time, she got the dream out in just a few sentences - with quite a bit of detail.

I'm not a paranoid freak. We've been here 11 years. While I don't hear very well - it's amazing when there is an "odd" noise - something out of the ordinary - I hear it. If I'm not looking at my wife or daughter - or whoever really - I really struggle to understand the words.

But I can't tell you how many times I'll say to my wife "someone's here - I heard a car door.", and she, with the great hearing, will say "huh uh". And lo and behold, someone is here - friend, family - whatever. Makes her mad - and she accuses me of "selective hearing".

Sat. night I went to bed early and didn't tell my wife or daughter. They figured I was out in my office. They walked into the bedroom to get something out of the closet - turned the lights on, apparently they were talking to each other - then my wife said "Oh, dad's in bed." I never heard them.

Anyway, I don't know what happened. It wasn't the least bit concerning until my daughter told me her dream. Had I not heard things, had the cat not been acting weird, my daughters dream would've gone in one ear and out the other after I told her "everyone has dreams, some are good, some are bad........."

I don't get what your daughters dream has anything to do with it? Are you really surprised you daughter had a dream about a man, even a football player, in the hallway, while a man, a football fan, is walking up and down the hallway in the middle of the night?

Perhaps the fact that had she seen me, she would've said "dad......."

Perhaps the fact that whatever she saw didn't have legs - and I do.

Perhaps the fact that when whatever it was looked at her, saw her looking at him/it, then it/he disappeared.

And it doesn't matter, because had I not been woken up, when she told me about her dream I'd have simply said "Oh, you had a bad dream honey."

Look, I'm not insisting it was anything. I'm not discounting it was anything.

I think your "perhaps the fact" button is stuck

I'm just saying, what more likely.

Your daughter heard you walking in the hallway and had a dream about a man in the hallway, or

Paranormal activity if affecting your daughters sleep patterns?

Arch, just my 2 cents. I don't think people on a message forum can validate your experience for you. None of us were there. You know the truth in your heart, go with that.

Apparently ghosts with no legs are fairly common. A quick google search brought up this story.

She continued on :"He was wearing a jersey with 00 on it. But I know it wasn't real, because he didn't have legs, and when he saw me looking at him, he disappeared."

"00" jersey on man with no legs?
Mystery solved.
